ISLAMABAD, Feb 4: Pakistan Foreign Office on Saturday summoned envoys of
nine European countries to make a strident demarche against the publication and
reprinting of blasphemous caricatures first published in a Danish newspaper last
September.Envoys of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Holland,
Hungary, Norway and Czech Republic were also handed the resolution adopted by
the National Assembly of Pakistan on the issue.The Foreign Office had
earlier summoned the ambassador of Denmark in Islamabad to lodge a strong
protest and demand immediate action by the Danish Government against the
newspaper and prevent the recurrence of such reprehensible acts.In a
strongly worded statement Pakistan Foreign Office said on
Saturday:"Recent printing of these objectionable sketches in other
European countries has again agitated the Muslims around the world. We strongly
condemn this recent provocation."Declaring that Pakistan was keeping "a
close watch" on the situation it added: "We believe freedom of _expression_ is not
a license to offend the sentiments and disparage the values and beliefs of other
people. We ask the European governments to ensure against recurrence of such
despicable acts."In a sharp warning to the European countries Pakistan
said: "Such irresponsible acts would seriously jeopardize our common endeavours
for enhancing understanding and cooperation between cultures and encourage
sinister agendas for clash of civilizations."Urging the democracies of
Europe and the European Union to take appropriate measures to ensure that
prejudice and bigotry does not flourish under the guise of free _expression_, it
said: "Such evil motivation should not be allowed to target other peoples and
spawn hatred in the world."On specific steps taken by the government the
Foreign Office said it was in touch with Pakistan's Permanent Representative in
Geneva who had already convened a meeting of the OIC Group and addressed another
letter on behalf of the Group, forcefully taking up the matter with the UN High
Commissioner for Human Rights."In the discussion on the proposed Human
Rights Council in the UN General Assembly, our Permanent Representative in New
York raised the subject condemning the provocation," it added.Foreign
Office recounted that the publication of offensive drawings in the Danish
newspaper 'Jyllands Posten' on Sept 30, 2005, was strongly condemned by
Pakistan. It said Pakistan's Permanent Representative in Geneva, in his capacity
as the Chairman of the OIC Group in Geneva, addressed a letter to the UN High
Commissioner for Human Rights seeking his intervention with Denmark to help stem
this outrage against Islam.Moreover, at Pakistan's initiative, the UN
General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on the international community to
combat defamation of all religions and curb the tendency of Islamophobia. The
Extraordinary Summit at Makkah also emphasized the need to counter defamation of
Islam.In one of the most piercing demarche ever made to the European
envoys Pakistan noted that the publication of the derogatory and blasphemous
sketches featuring the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the Danish newspaper in September
and the recent reprinting in other European countries including France, Germany,
Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Holland, Norway, Czech Republic and Hungary had
caused grievous and profound hurt to the sentiments of Muslims all over the
world.Following are the contents of the demarche: "We condemn the
publication and republication of these blasphemous sketches in European papers.
The Parliament of Pakistan - representing the will of the people of Pakistan -
has also unanimously condemned these despicable provocative acts."We
reject the false pretext of freedom of press for publishing these caricatures
since freedom of _expression_ does not mean absence of any values, ethics or laws,
but rather - amongst other things – protection and respect of the rights of
individuals as well as their religious and social values. In any event, freedom
of _expression_ is not a license to hurt other peoples sentiments or disparage
their values."All civilized societies are founded on certain moral,
religious and social values, which must not be degraded or deprecated in the
interest of international amity and harmony."To portray the Prophet of
Islam (PBUH) in derogatory terms is a violence committed against deeply held
beliefs ... and not a manifestation of freedom of _expression_. We lodge a strong
protest to condemn these provocative acts and call upon the concerned
governments to ensure against their recurrence."

I appreciate the article posted by Aqsa entitled Food and Women of Jews
and Christians. All the evidence from Quran and Hadith clearly mentions
that the meat 'slaughtered by Ahl Kitaab' is permissible for Muslims.
This by no means gives an open permission to consume the meat from the
present day supermarkets in the West. Following are the reasons:
First of all we know that the meat processing industry does not
necessarily hire the Jews and Christians only to slaughter the meat.
Employees could include Hindu, Budh, atheist or person of any other
beliefs. Religious preference is not a condition for employment.
Secondly, religion has no place in the method of slaughtering in these
meat processing plants. Therefore, proper slaughtering and reciting the
name of Allah is not required or considered necessary. What works quickly
and in least expensive way is given preference.
Therefore, we need to make sure that the meat slaughtered with proper
Islamic requirements with recitation of the name of Allah should only be
consumed. However, if there is some meat plant which only have Christians
and Jews who slaughter the meat in proper way and name of Allah is
recited, then it could be permissible. However, this practice of
considering the meat offered at supermarkets which is not properly
slaughtered by the Jews and Christians or Muslims is very questionable.

Honourable Fellow Citizens of the Muslim World Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten is a strong proponent of democracy and freedom of religion. The newspaper respects the right of any human being to practise his or her religion. Serious misunderstandings in
respect of some drawings of the Prophet Mohammed have led to much anger and, lately, also boycott of Danish goods in Muslim countries. Please allow me to correct these misunderstandings. On 30 September last year, Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten published 12
different cartoonists' idea of what the Prophet Mohammed might have looked like. The initiative was taken as part of an ongoing public debate on freedom of _expression, a freedom much cherished in Denmark.
In our opinion, the 12 drawings were sober. They were not intended to be offensive, nor were they at variance with Danish law, but they have indisputably offended many Muslims for which we apologize.
Since then a number of offensive drawings have circulated in The Middle East which have never been published in Morgenavisen Jyllands- Posten and which we would never have published, had they been offered to us. We would have refused to publish them on the grounds
that they violated our ethical code. Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten attaches importance to upholding the highest ethical standards based upon the respect of our fundamental values. It is so much more deplorable, therefore, that these
drawings were presented as if they had anything to do with Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten. Maybe because of culturally based misunderstandings, the initiative to publish the 12 drawings has been interpreted as a campaign
against Muslims in Denmark and the rest of the world. I must categorically dismiss such an interpretation. Because of the very fact that we are strong proponents of the freedom of religion and because we respect the right of any human being to practise his
or her religion, offending anybody on the grounds of their religious beliefs is unthinkable to us. That this happened was, consequently, unintentional. As a result of the debate that has been going on about the drawings,
we have met with representatives of Danish Muslims, and these meetings were held in a positive and constructive spirit. We have also sought in other ways to initiate a fruitful dialogue with Danish Muslims.
It is the wish of Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten that various ethnic groups should live in peace and harmony with each other and that the debates and disagreements which will always exist in a dynamic
society should do so in an atmosphere of mutual respect. For that reason, Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten has published many articles describing the positive aspects of integration, for example in a special supplement entitled The Contributors. It portrayed a
number of Muslims who have had success in Denmark. The supplement was rewarded by the EU Commission. Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten takes exception to symbolic acts suited to demonise specific nationalities, religions and ethnic groups.

Everything indicates that CIA were the real sender of the provocation, a
typical CIA
operation.
The CIA of the US and the MOSSAD of Israel are behind practically ALL big
political
provocations and false-flag operations on the planet. The burden of proof
therefore in
every case lies with them.
Bush stands soon completely isolated in his aggression against Iraq. Only few
of the vasal
states, including Denmark, have not yet left or are not leaving Iraq
Bush therefore needs to spread the war out again and involve Europe by playing
the
religious card. A provocation of the muslims at the religious level involving
at least one
European country is a perfect solution.
And which country in Europe is more ideal for this purpose than Denmark:
her prime minister is one of Bushs close friends and has been allowed to eat

with Bush
as well in the maximally criminal war of aggression against Iraq as in all
other relations
Denmark is the 100 % loyal servant of the US, for instance also in the case of
the next US
war target, Iran
the Danish people as a whole is self-centered and without power of resistance

manipulation
the country is governed by a coalion of rightwing parties dominated by the
extremist
rightwing party Fremskridtspartiet
there is no noteworthy political opposition
together with the newspapers Ekstrabladet and Jyllandsposten,
Fremskridtspartiet for 10
15 years has conducted a daily hate campaign against all immigrants, in
particular the
muslims
the weakest founded 2/3 of the natives thereby have assumed a hostile attitude
to the
muslims.
The pick of European operator therefore was not difficult for CIA, and neither
so with
regard to the specific medium: the Jyllandsposten notorious for its
Nazi-friendly attitude
during the Nazi occupation during WWII.
The responsible cultural editor, Flemming Rose, has just jumped into the job
after a 4
years stay in the US
Now you might expect - like the leader of the Fremskridtspartiet, Pia
Kjaersgaard, did -
that the US godfather would come to the assistance of his envoy after all the
turmoil the
provocation has created. One crime should be worth the other.
But no, that is not the way the piano plays. Aside from buying a little more

as compensation, the plan namely also was to allow for the two biggest
aggressors in Iraq,
US and UK, to stay longer in the Iraqi oil fields by posing as the true
passionate defenders
of Islam !
So both of them have strongly criticized the *Danish* provocation, while
various extremist
rightwing European newspapers, for instance the Springers, have repeated the
provocation, all to the scheduled plan.
But perhaps the religious provocation will only be a shortsighted gain for the
aggressors.
It might turn out to become fatal for these gangsters. Behind or mixed with the
religious
anger is the political rage over decades of humiliation from the empire of evil.
It is not accidental that the corrupt middle eastern regimes either themselves
have
arranged the demonstrations or tolerated them in order to gain some highly
needed
popularity for free. Their own sharing of the resources of the people with the
gangsters
have not made them popular and they can only stay in power by fascist
oppression of the
numerous insurrections.
The present uproar might develop to become an acute threat against the
existence of the
regimes and thereby against the profits of the gangsters.

Now we would like to take up the question of rights of the citizens in an Islamic State. As these rights are more extensive than the general human rights which have been described earlier, they need separate treatment.The Security of Personal Freedom Islam has also laid down the principle that no citizen can be imprisoned unless his guilt has been proved in an open court. To arrest a man only on the basis of suspicion and to throw him into a prison without proper court proceedings and without providing him a reason- able opportunity to produce his defence is not permissible in Islam. The Right to Protest Against Tyranny Amongst the rights that Islam has conferred on human beings is the right to protest against government's tyranny. Referring to it the Quran says: "God does not love evil talk in public unless it is by some- one who has been injured thereby" (4:148). This means that God strongly disapproves of abusive language or strong words of condemna- tion, but the person who has been the victim of injustice or tyranny, God gives him the right to openly protest against the injury that has been done to him. Freedom of _expression_ Islam gives the right of freedom of thought and _expression_ to all citizens of the Islamic State on the condition that it should be used for the propagation of virtue and truth and not for spreading evil and wickedness. This Islamic concept of freedom of _expression_ is much superior to the concept prevalent in the WestEquality Before Law Islam gives its citizens the right to absolute and complete equality in the eyes of the law. As far as the Muslims are concerned, there are clear instructions in the Holy Quran and hadith that in their rights and obligations they are all equal: "The believers are brothers (to each other)" (49:10). "If they (disbelievers) repent and keep up prayer and pay the Ipoor-due, they are your brothers in faith" (9:11). The Prophet has said that: "The life and blood of Muslims are equally precious" (Abu Dawud; Ibn Majjah). In another hadith he has said: "The protection given by all Muslims is equal. Even an ordinary man of them can grant protection to any man" (al-Bukhari; MuslimRulers Not Above the Law Islam clearly insists and demands that all officials of the Islamic State, whether he be the head or an ordinary employee, are equal in the eyes of the law. None of them is above the law or can claim immunity. Even an ordinary citizen in Islam has the right to put forward a claim or file a legal complaint against the highest executive of the country. The Right to Avoid Sin Islam also confers this right on every citizen that he will not be ordered to commit a sin, a crime or an offence; and if any govern- ment, or the administrator, or the head of department orders an individual to do a wrong, then he has the right to refuse to comply with the order. His refusal to carry out such crime or unjust instructions would not be regarded as an offence in the eyes of the Islamic law. Salam alaikum, Once again the Muslims have been succuessfully able to turn support and sympathy toward them into condemnation and call for restraint. If free speech is a right, then boycotting certain product is also our right, and while this boycott was taking momentum and spreading across the globe (very rightly so), the actions of many Muslims in the manner they are protesting has drawn its own criticism. Why do we have to be so reactionary? Is it because we have become deafitist in our mentality? Is it our need for instant gratification? Or our faith is so fragile that it requires such action? While I wholehearedtly condemn the publication of the cartoons, I equally condemn the manner in which many of the Muslims are protesting. It is a pity that our actions are almost justifying the contents of the some of the cartoons that we are trying to protest! I bet some of those cartoonists or newspaper editors are saying right about now See I told you so! I found the article below insightful, something people at both sides of the debate can benefit from. In the 1890s, a Frenchman called Edouard Drumont ran a newspaper full of crude caricatures of Jews and articles that railed against their increasing dominance of French and European life, reaching fever pitch during the treason trial of French officer Alfred Dreyfus. Drumont called his paper La Libre Parole - "The Free Speech". As the Danish cartoon row spreads and editors hurry to wrap themselves in the mantle of Voltaire, it is worth noting that most of civilised Europe today gladly accepts (and in some cases even legislates to preserve) a taboo on the kinds of free speech that Drumont sought to establish. Indeed, anyone who has worked in newspapers knows that a certain degree of self-censorship comes with the territory. There are pictures we deem too graphic for the front page (or any page), letters too offensive and pointless to be worthy of publication, words that are termed obscene and excluded from copy. None of this means that newspapers should be prevented from criticising Islam, Muslims or their prophet. But looking at the 12 Danish cartoons (which, thanks to the internet, is now easy to do) any of their criticisms - of the oppression of women, or the crime of suicide bombing - could have been made with just as much force and considerably more wit without breaching the taboo on representing the prophet Muhammad. Indeed, several of the cartoons don't depict him, and most of the others are such crude stereotypes that if they weren't labelled with his name, it would be impossible to tell them apart from other Muslim-baiting efforts. Lars Refn's cartoon, which instead showed a schoolboy called Muhammad writing on a blackboard in Farsi that "Jyllands-Posten's journalists are a bunch of reactionary provocateurs", earned him a rebuke from one online "Voltaire", who called him "a coward who does not understand the seriousness of the Muslim threat to free speech". That a threat exists is clear, thanks to the murder of Theo van Gogh and other cases. But is this the best way to address it? Above all, the idea that Europe is somehow being taken over by wealthy or radical Muslims is as bigoted and repulsive as the idea of a century ago that it was being taken over by wealthy or radical Jews. Those Muslims who have threatened violence over the cartoons live mostly in the very Muslim world that many European Muslims have migrated from. However, such thuggish behaviour, wherever it occurs, is testament to a lack of power; only when you feel disenfranchised in those avenues of life that really matter can you become exercised over such trivia. Those who insist that this row is about upholding Islam need to ask themselves at whom the prohibition on depicting the prophet is aimed. The answer is Muslims, so that they do not fall into idolatry and revering the messenger instead of his message. No Muslim is at risk of worshipping the images in these cartoons. So what's the beef? This controversy is about power. Muslim communities in the West feel under suspicion and under siege through the mere fact of their faith. Muslims in the Muslim world feel war has been declared on them by an adversary who controls the world. In such circumstances, the one power people feel they have left is to insist on their dignity. At no time since the Middle Ages has the atmosphere between Islam and the West been more charged, or the power to insult so instantaneous. In November 2001, the Scottish Daily Mail ran an essay on the prophet by historian John Casey with an engraving of a man in furs and a turban bedecked with pearls and feathers, intended to be Muhammad. The cartoons are meant to generate hatred for Al-Islam, Prophet Mohammed and Muslims. They are not innocent expressions of free speech. It turns out the editor who originally publshed the offensive Muslim
cartoons is a disciple of Daniel Pipes and the clash of civilizations
theory put out by Project for a New American Century. PNAC is the
outfit that called for a Pearl Harbor event' in order to initiate a
global war against the Muslim world. American Free Press,

Under
the guise of free speech, a leading Danish newspaper published a dozen
provocative anti-Islamic cartoons clearly designed to offend Muslims.
The predictable result has greatly increased the possibility of
violence and left Denmark in a costly and dangerous predicament.
Four
months after Jyllands-Posten (JP), Denmark's most widely read morning
paper, published 12 anti-Islamic cartoons, Danes woke up to the fact
that there is a very high price to be paid for promoting the clash of
civilizations.
The fact that the editors behind the
anti-Islamic images claim to be exercising free speech while refusing
to address Europe's strict censorship laws regarding discussion of the
Holocaust and the ongoing imprisonment of historical revisionists
reveals the existence of a more sinister agenda behind the provocative
cartoons.
Agents of certain persuasion are behind the
egregious affront to Islam in order to provoke Muslims, Professor
Mikael Rothstein of the University of Copenhagen told the BBC. The key
agent is Flemming Rose, the cultural editor of JP, who commissioned
cartoonists to produce the blasphemous images and then published them
in Denmark's leading morning paper last September.
The
International Herald Tribune, which reported on the offensive cartoons
on January 1, noted that even the liberalism of Rose had its limits
when it came to criticism of Zionist leaders and their crimes. Rose
also has clear ties to the Zionist Neo-Cons behind the war on terror.
Rose
told the international paper owned by The New York Times that he would
not publish a cartoon of Israel's Ariel Sharon strangling a Palestinian
baby, since that could be construed as 'racist.' [...]
Rose
traveled to Philadelphia in October 2004 to visit Daniel Pipes, the
Neo-Con ideologue who says the only path to Middle East peace will come
through a total Israeli military victory. Rose then penned
a
positive article about Pipes, who compares militant Islam with
fascism and communism.

Immediately after Hitler's rise to power, American Jews mounted a formidable economic war to topple the Nazi regime. Just weeks after Hitler assumed power on January 30, 1933, a patchwork of competing Jewish forces, led by American Jewish Congress president Rabbi Stephen Wise, civil rights crusader Louis Untermeyer, and the combative Jewish War Veterans, initiated a highly effective boycott of German goods and services. Each advanced the boycott in its own way, but sought to build a united anti-Nazi coalition that could deliver an economic deathblow to the Nazi party, which had based its political ascent almost entirely on promises to rebuild the strapped German economy. The boycotters were encouraged by the early successes of their loud, boisterous campaign, complete with nationwide protest meetings, picket signs, and open threats to destroy Germany's economy if the Reich's anti-Jewish actions persisted. Skilled organizing from unions, political groups, and commercial trade associations carried the boycott's message to every facet of American society and abroad. Depression-wracked nations around the world quickly began to shift their buying habits from the entrenched German market to less expensive, alternative goods. * * * The anti-Hitler protest movement culminated in a gigantic rally at Madison Square Garden on March 27, 1933, organized by Rabbi Wise and the American Jewish Congress. More than 55,000 protesters crammed into the Garden and surrounding streets. Simultaneous rallies were held in 70 other metropolitan areas in the U.S. and in Europe. Radio hookups broadcast the New York event to hundreds of cities throughout the world. The boycott unnerved the Nazis, who believed that Jews wielded supernatural international economic power. They knew that in the past Jews had used boycotts effectively against Russian Czar Nicholas II to combat his persecution of Jews, and automaker Henry Ford to halt his anti-Semitic campaign. Whether or not this new boycott actually possessed the punishing power to crush the Reich economy was irrelevant; what mattered was that Germany perceived the Jewish-led boycott as the greatest threat to its survival--and reacted accordingly. The Jewish negotiators were greeted courteously by Hans Hartenstein, director of the German Foreign Currency Control Office. They talked for some time about investment, emigration, and public opinion, but the underlying theme was the boycott. The Nazis wanted to know how far the Zionists were willing to go in subverting the boycott. The Zionists wanted to know how far the Reich was willing to go in allowing them to rescue German Jews. Not relying too much on the reward for fastingSome people who are deceived rely too much on things like fasting on Aashooraa or the day of Arafaah, to the extent that some of them say, Fasting on Aashooraa will expiate for the sins of the whole year, and fasting on the day of Arafaah will bring extra rewards.Ibn al-Qayyim said: This misguided person does not know that fasting in Ramadaan and praying five times a day are much more important than fasting on the day of Arafaah and Aashooraa, and that they expiate for the sins between one Ramadaan and the next, or between one Friday and the next, so long as one avoids major sins. But they cannot expiate for minor sins unless one also avoids major sins; when the two things are put together, they have the strength to expiate for minor sins. Among those deceived people may be one who thinks that his good deeds are more than his sins, because he does not pay attention to his bad deeds or check on his sins, but if he does a good deed he remembers it and relies on it. This is like the one who seeks Allaahs forgiveness with his tongue (i.e., by words only), and glorifies Allaah by saying Subhaan Allaah one hundred times a day, then he backbites about the Muslims and slanders their honour, and speaks all day long about things that are not pleasing to Allaah. This person is always thinking about the virtues of his tasbeehaat (saying Subhaan Allaah) and tahleelaat (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah) but he pays no attention to what has been reported concerning those who backbite, tell lies and slander others, or commit other sins of the tongue. They are completely deceived. (al-Mawsooah al-Fiqhiyyah, part 31, Ghuroor). Common Bidahs on Aashooraa Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the things that people do on Aashooraa, such as wearing kohl, taking a bath (ghusl), wearing henna, shaking hands with one another, cooking grains (huboob), showing happiness and so on. Was any of this reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in a saheeh hadeeth, or not? If nothing to that effect was reported in a saheeh hadeeth, is doing these things bidah, or not? Is there any basis for what the other group do, such as grieving and mourning, going without anything to drink, eulogizing and wailing, reciting in a crazy manner, and rending their garments?His reply was:Praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds. Nothing to that effect has been reported in any saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or from his Companions. None of the imaams of the Muslims encouraged or recommended such things, neither the four imaams, nor any others. No reliable scholars have narrated anything like this, neither from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), nor from the Sahaabah, nor from the Taabieen; neither in any saheeh report or in a daeef (weak) report; neither in the books of Saheeh, nor in al-Sunan, nor in the Musnads. No hadeeth of this nature was known during the best centuries, but some of the later narrators reported ahaadeeth like the one which says, Whoever puts kohl in his eyes on the day of Aashooraa will not suffer from eye disease in that year, and whoever takes a bath (does ghusl) on the day of Aashooraa will not get sick in that year, and so on.They also reported a fabricated hadeeth that is falsely attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), which says, Whoever is generous to his family on the day of Aashooraa, Allaah will be generous to him for the rest of the year. depict something that is not fantasy anyway you choose
and say this is a depiction of that entity. No one
could draw a picture of George Washington as an alien
with green skin and bulging eyes, and people feel that
Washington had been insulted, because it is not
Washington. They would say that the people who love
Washington had been insulted because the depcition is
not flaterring, or accurate in their view. We have
people who are saying that these depictions insulted
the prophet (sa), when they are not depictions of the
prophet (sa). In my view, this is an attempt to
sanctify their own anger, and feelings of disgust,
which are legitimate on their own, and should not have
to reach the level of insulting the prophet (sa), to
take action to educate people, and even to punish

Red (So-called
light skinned white Arab) as opposed tho Sayyidina
Rasuwlullah who

Al-Jahiz in which he
describes the Prophet as being non-white; also in
the Book Sex and
Race Vol. I by J.A. Rogers also supports this
position.

Malaysia won't be boycotting Danish products, a decision that maintains the high profitability in Malaysia of Danish Carlsberg beer and the rapidly rising government revenues that accompany it. Carlsberg beer is a cash cow for the Malaysian government. This year, Carlsberg tops the list of Malaysian corporations declaring higher dividends than before, while the Malaysian government has again increased its own revenue from alcohol sales for the third year in a row. And just last year, control of Carlsberg Malaysia left Malaysia for good and was placed under the direct control of its Danish masters. Malaysian shareholders are now a minority. So Carlsberg cannot even be represented as a Malaysian corporation anymore. In effect if not in law, Carlsberg Malaysia is now a joint venture of Carlsberg Denmark and the government of Malaysia. Any kind of business negotiation or agreement with Denmark is suspended as of today. All those agreements which are able to be cancelled will be cancelled, he added. Twelve cartoons of a man assumed to be the Prophet, first published last September by Denmark's mass-circulation Jyllands-Posten and then reprinted by several European dailies, have caused an uproar in the Muslim world and initiated calls for a Muslim boycott of the Danish products. Leading Muslim scholars and organizations have called on world Muslims to boycott Danish products. Danish-Swedish dairy company Arla Foods, one of Europes largest dairy producers, said it is losing $1.8 million of sales a day in the Middle East over the boycott. The company's products were removed from shelves of supermarkets in many Gulf countries. Branches of French hypermarket Carrefour in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have also stopped selling Danish goods. Calm Badawi also called for calm over the blasphemous cartoons, which triggered violent protests in many Muslim countries. He said that whatever action taken to protest the cartoons should not bring problems to other people. Muslims protesting the cartoons set fire to the Danish consulate in Beirut on Sunday, February 5, and Syrian protesters did the same with the Danish and Norwegian embassies in Damascus a day earlier. That religion centers around monotheism, or the belief in one supreme God. The name of Muhammads father was Abdullah, and his mothers name was Aminah. However, his father died while he was in his mothers womb. Muhammad was born near the end of April in the year 571 of the Christian Era, his mother died while he was very young, and later, he was raised by one of his uncles. As a young man, Muhammad had a good reputation among his people in the Arabian city of Mecca. It was after marriage, at the age of about forty, during retreats to the wilderness for contemplation of the divine truths, when Muslims believe that God revealed His first revelation of the Koran (Quran) to Muhammad. However, this revelation is not all we have from Muhammad. Rather, he also gave his followers teachings and sermons besides those believed to be the revelation in the Koran (Quran). These traditions, or teachings of Muhammad are called hadith. It is from those compilations of such teachings, which Muslims consider genuine, that these sayings of wisdom are translated. The parable of the house in which God is remembered and the house in which God is not remembered is that of the living and the dead. God has written the good deeds and the bad deeds, and He has explained how they shall be achieved: Whoever intends to do a good deed but does not, God will record it as one good deed for him. But if he intends to do it and does so, He will record it as ten to seven-hundred or more good deeds. Whoever intended to a bad deed and does not, God will record that as one good deed for him. But if he intended it and did it, then it will be recorded as merely one bad deed. If the son of Adam had two valleys full of wealth, he would not be satisfied until he had a third. Nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust. Yet, God accepts the repentance of the penitent. On the Day of Judgment God Almighty will say, O son of Adam! I was sick but you did not visit me. The person will respond, O Lord! How could I visit you and you are the Lord of the Worlds? He will say, Did you not know that my servant so and so was ill, but you did not visit him? Did you not know that if you visited him, then you would have found me with Him? O son of Adam! I was hungry but you fed me not. The person will say, O Lord! How could you be hungry and you are the Lord of the Worlds? He will say: Did you not know that my servant was hungry yet you did not feed him. Did you not know that had you fed him you would have found me with him? One who shows no mercy shall be shown no mercy. The faithful is one who loves for his brother what he loves for himself. Whoever guides to good, he receives rewards similar to the one who acts upon it. Whoever wants to be heard of, God will make him heard of. Whoever wants to be seen, God will show him, and whoever is harsh, God will be harsh with him. The best of you are those best to their wives. The hand giving is better than the hand receiving. Whoever wants to have ample provisions and an extended life, then let him nurture his ties of kinship. Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and God. I will be the host in a house in Heaven for one who gives up arguing, even though he is right. Not relying too much on the reward for fastingSome people who are deceived rely too much on things like fasting on Aashooraa or the day of Arafaah, to the extent that some of them say, Fasting on Aashooraa will expiate for the sins of the whole year, and fasting on the day of Arafaah will bring extra rewards.Ibn al-Qayyim said: This misguided person does not know that fasting in Ramadaan and praying five times a day are much more important than fasting on the day of Arafaah and Aashooraa, and that they expiate for the sins between one Ramadaan and the next, or between one Friday and the next, so long as one avoids major sins. But they cannot expiate for minor sins unless one also avoids major sins; when the two things are put together, they have the strength to expiate for minor sins. Among those deceived people may be one who thinks that his good deeds are more than his sins, because he does not pay attention to his bad deeds or check on his sins, but if he does a good deed he remembers it and relies on it. This is like the one who seeks Allaahs forgiveness with his tongue (i.e., by words only), and glorifies Allaah by saying Subhaan Allaah one hundred times a day, then he backbites about the Muslims and slanders their honour, and speaks all day long about things that are not pleasing to Allaah. This person is always thinking about the virtues of his tasbeehaat (saying Subhaan Allaah) and tahleelaat (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah) but he pays no attention to what has been reported concerning those who backbite, tell lies and slander others, or commit other sins of the tongue. They are completely deceived. (al-Mawsooah al-Fiqhiyyah, part 31, Ghuroor). Common Bidahs on Aashooraa Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the things that people do on Aashooraa, such as wearing kohl, taking a bath (ghusl), wearing henna, shaking hands with one another, cooking grains (huboob), showing happiness and so on. Was any of this reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in a saheeh hadeeth, or not? If nothing to that effect was reported in a saheeh hadeeth, is doing these things bidah, or not? Is there any basis for what the other group do, such as grieving and mourning, going without anything to drink, eulogizing and wailing, reciting in a crazy manner, and rending their garments?His reply was:Praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds. Nothing to that effect has been reported in any saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or from his Companions. None of the imaams of the Muslims encouraged or recommended such things, neither the four imaams, nor any others. No reliable scholars have narrated anything like this, neither from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), nor from the Sahaabah, nor from the Taabieen; neither in any saheeh report or in a daeef (weak) report; neither in the books of Saheeh, nor in al-Sunan, nor in the Musnads. No hadeeth of this nature was known during the best centuries, but some of the later narrators reported ahaadeeth like the one which says, Whoever puts kohl in his eyes on the day of Aashooraa will not suffer from eye disease in that year, and whoever takes a bath (does ghusl) on the day of Aashooraa will not get sick in that

[Something is rotten in the state of Denmark], (Hamlet, William Shakespeare)A tiny nation like Denmark would not antagonise a population of over one billion, unless it knew that it can do it with impunity. Earlier, the Danish Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, refused to meet the ambassadors of eleven Muslim countries regarding the offensive cartoons published by Jyllands-Posten. Thus, the Danish government knowingly allowed the publishing of the offensive materials, with total disregard for their Muslims citizens at home and the Muslims abroad. The criminal act was initiated by Denmark without provocation. It constituted declaring war on Islam and Muslims. They deserve a response of war accordingly, burning of the embassies in Syria, Lebanon, Indonesia are signs that future responses will be through deeds as well as words. The Muslims, disunited and weak, lacking economic and military power emboldened the Danish to insult Islam and Muslims. Also, Islam continues to spread in the heart of Europe, despite the constant vicious media campaign, and unable to confront Islam
intellectually, it has built up considerable frustration. Thus, Denmark and some of the other militant European nations have resorted to primitive vulgar criticism, in line with their crude porn-culture. Many have argued that mocking and insulting others is part of European values, licensed by free speech. Indeed, one can see this daily, in the semi-porno tabloid papers to the broadsheet. The challenge for the Muslims is: how they can elevate these Europeans, so that a
civilised dialogue can take place. Listed below, the key arguments are analysed. Is the cartoon issue one of freedom of _expression (free speech)? If the Danish newspaper had insulted the blacks or some other community, they would have been instantly vilified as racists. If they mocked homosexuals they would have been attacked for being homophobic. The mere mentioning of these "sacred words": Jews, Israel or the Holocaust leads to facing the anti-Semitism inquisition! Before insulting others, the Danish newspaper should have led by example by ridiculing the founder of Protestant Christianity, Martin Luther (who was rabid anti-Semite as he hated Jews and Arabs), as Lutheran Christianity is the state religion of Denmark.
Under the guise of free speech, would the Danish paper dare to publish satirical cartoons of the Holocaust and the Jews. Is the bankrupt concept of free speech restricted only to abusing, offending and
vilifying Muslims and Islam? This is the same Danish newspaper that refused to print the offensive pictures of Jesus last year (Rightly so! Islam condemns the vilification of any Prophets or Religion). So once again confirming that vilifying Islam and Muslims is almost the exclusive test for freedom of _expression, and this is the only definition of freedom of _expression that makes any sense. However, no one is honest enough to admit to this definition, even though, this is what they practice. Freedom of _expression in reality a one-way traffic lane but the Muslims are expected to see it as a two-way lane! If the trend continues, the Muslims will be expected to view Camp-X-Ray as a symbol of human rights a nd Abu-Ghraib as some kind of deviant sexual emancipation and bombing cities as liberation! If the West truly believes in freedom of _expression for all, then they should apply it consistently or not at all. If the Danish newspapers have the right to mock the Prophet (SAW), then by the same criteria of free speech, they should accept the right of the Muslims to express and call for the execution of those responsible. Before anyone moans about incitement to
violence, they should remember that there would be no incitement, if there was no provocation. Why focus on the effect, instead of the cause? Indeed, why do you start a fight by throwing a punch and then complain that you got kicked in the groin in retaliation. The reality of so-called free speech is this: the West wants to award themselves with a full license to abuse Islam and Muslims, whilst curbing the Muslim responses. If freedom of _expression gives you the right to insult the Prophet of Islam, then

in Singapore have said they object to any form of violence by Muslims to the
publication of caricatures and cartoons depicting Prophet Mohammed. It
said Muslims should instead channel their frustrations and anger towards
deepening their knowledge and love for the Prophet. They said being
overly sensitive and responding irrationally would only intensify the negative
image others have towards Islam. However, the publication of caricatures
and cartoons by European newspapers shows a lack of sensitivity towards other
cultures, particularly of Muslims. And such action demeans Islam. -

The International Herald Tribune, which reported on the offensive cartoons on January 1, noted that even the liberalism of Rose had its limits when it came to criticism of Zionist leaders and their crimes. Rose also has clear ties to the Zionist Neo-Cons behind the "war on terror." Rose told the international paper owned by The New York Times that "he would not publish a cartoon of Israel's Ariel Sharon strangling a Palestinian baby, since that could be construed as 'racist.'" Asked why he was protecting Sharon, a known war criminal, while abusing Muslims and their Prophet in the name of free speech, Rose told American Free Press that he had been "misquoted" in the Times article. Rose traveled to Philadelphia in October 2004 to visit Daniel Pipes, the Neo-Con ideologue who says the only path to Middle East peace will come through a total Israeli military victory. Rose then penned a positive article about Pipes, who compares "militant Islam" with fascism and communism. In April 2003, President George W. Bush nominated the rabid anti-Muslim Pipes to the board of the United States Institute of Peace, a congressionally sponsored think tank dedicated to "the peaceful resolution of international conflicts."
