Sunday, 13 April 2008Notes from the Iraqi Resistance...
http://arabwomannews.blogspot.com/2008/04/notes-from-iraqi-resistance.html
This post is a transcript of the interview with Dr.I.Al-Shammari,(head of the
Islamic Army of Iraq/IAI) aired on Arabic, Al-Jazeerah TV on the 9th of April
2008, an interview conducted by Ahmad Mansour. And below is my translation.

Dr.I.Al-Shammari replies and comments are in Italics. IAI is ONE faction of the
Iraqi Resistance(IR).
I have tried regrouping his replies under headings to simplify it for the
reader. Please do remember that this a transcript from hand written notes.

1) Words of Introduction by Al-Shammari – in response to a question re.the
surge and the IR.

Petraeus did not make any progress in Iraq. This is nothing but another lie in
the series of lies started by Bush with his WMD’s. There is no progress.
The Resistance has not changed its strategy which is the end of the occupation.
Petraeus alleged that the attacks are down by 60% when 2007 was the year that
witnessed the highest rate of attacks.
The Resistance did change its tactics but not its strategy. The Americans are
desperate for some calm before the November elections, but the Resistance will
decide when to implement an upsurge in its attacks against the occupier, maybe
during certain “crucial moments” but this is up to the Resistance to decide
when and how. As I said, there is a change of tactics but not of strategy.

2) What about the “drop” in the IR attacks ?

What looks like a current “drop” is not a weakness. We are a realist/pragmatic
movement. There have been changes in the Iraqi political scene, namely
Al-Qaeda, the Sahwa and the sectarian Shiite militias and we adapt accordingly.
There have been many attempt to “purify” the Resistance by the occupiers and
others...
So, no, we did not dissolve or dilute, either against Al-Qaeda or the sectarian
Shiite Militias.
In fact the Americans by backing the sectarian Shiite militias wanted just
that, to weaken us. Remember that we are facing a dual occupation, we’ve said
in the past and we repeat it again, a dual occupation by the US and Iran.

3) On Sectarianism.

a) You have been accused of Sunni Sectarianism, what do you have to say to that?

The IR protected Shiites in many areas from their own death squads. The IR has
condemned and condemns attacks on civilians, we do not blow up markets filled
with innocent lives. This is a propaganda tactic by the occupier to discredit
us. Suicide bombings against Iraqi civilians, beheadings, car bombs and the
rest are all the work of the Occupation, the mercenaries, the Mossad, the
Iranian militias and its sectarian squads. On many occasions, cars have been
stopped at checkpoints only to find out that during their search they (US
forces and militias) have planted bombs in them without the car owner’s
knowledge.
The IR does not do such things. We need the Iraqi people, all of the Iraqi
people, it is from them that we draw force and support, how can we target them
? We are a Resistance movement against the Occupation (both American and
Iranian) not against the Iraqi people. We need our people. How can we kill our
own people ?

The sectarian parties and militias backed by Iran and the US started the
sectarian and civil war. We do not blame the Shias but the parties and the
militias who are totally bought by Iran and who managed to co-opt some of the
Iraqi Arab Shiites to their side. A good number of Arab shias are aware of
that, and a number of Shia tribes in the South have spoken out against the
Iranian influence and we have contact with them and encourage them. They reject
these militias and the Iranian influence. Leaders of these sectarian Shiite
parties and their religious representatives terrorize the Shias, by calling
them "Kafirs" (disbelievers) if they don’t follow such and such party or
militia...

Our theological differences with Shiism can be resolved through discussion, we
are not anti-Shiism. We are anti sectarian Shiite parties and militias who are
supported by Iran.

Our program is the liberation of ALL Iraqis and Iraq from the Occupation. We
are not here to liberate Sunnis alone. Ours was never a Sunni program alone. We
do not follow such sectarian thinking.
Had Sunnis been sectarian, then historically, during the Abbassid, Ummayad and
Ottoman eras (eras of Sunni rule) the Sunnis would have wiped out all other
sects, including the Shias, but that has evidently not been the case. Our stand
is for the Islamic Umma not for the Sunni sect. We defend the whole of Iraq not
just the Sunnis.

b) But the Resistance is nonetheless majority Sunni, and stayed Sunni, has it
not ?

The Iraqi Resistance is majority Sunni by default. The U.S. is the one who
brought the sectarian Shiite parties and militias when it invaded and occupied.
And they were/are backed by Iran. The Marjaiya (Shiite theological council)
backed these parties and militias. The U

Bismillah [IslamCity] THE TEARS OF RASULULLAH (SAW)...

THE TEARS OF RASULULLAH (SAW)...

Suddenly, there was a person who said salaam.

"May I come in?" he asked.

But Fatimah did not allow him to enter the room.

"I'm sorry, my father is ill," said Fatimah, and turned back and closed the
door.

She went back to her father who had opened his eyes and he asked Fatimah, "Who
was he, my daughter?"

"I don't know, my father. It's the first time I'm seeing him," Fatimah said
gently.

Then, Rasulullah (SAW) looked at his daughter with a trembled look, as if he
wanted to reminisce about every part of his daughter's face.

"Know one thing! He is who erases the temporary pleasure; he is who separates
the companionship in the world. He is the angel of death," said Rasulullah
(SAW).

Fatimah bore the bomb of her cry.

The death angel came toward him, but Rasulullah (SAW) asked why Jibril did not
come along with him.

Then, Jibril was called. Jibril was ready in the sky to welcome the soul of
Habibullah and the leader of the earth.

"O Jibril, explain to me about my rights in front of ALLAH?" Rasulullah (SAW)
asked with a weak voice.

"The doors of the sky have opened; the angels are waiting for your soul."

"All jannats are open widely waiting for you," Jibril said.

But, in fact, all that did not make Rasulullah (SAW) relieved. His eyes were
still full of worry.

"You are not happy to hear this news?" asked Jibril.

"Tell me about the destiny of my people in the future?"

"Don't worry, o Rasul ALLAH. I heard ALLAH told me: 'I make jannat haram for
everyone, except the people of Muhammad" Jibril said.

It became closer and closer, the time for Malaekat Izrail to do his work.
Slowly, Rasulullah's (SAW) soul was pulled. It seemed that the body of
Rasulullah (SAW) was full of sweat; the nerves of his neck became tight.

"Jibril, how pain this sakaratul maut is!"

Rasulullah (SAW) uttered a groan slowly. Fatimah closed her eyes, Ali sat
beside her bow deeply and Jibril turned his face back.

"Am I repugnant to you that you turn your face back o Jibril?" Rasulullah (SAW)
asked to the Deliverer of Wahyu.

"Who is the one who could see the Habibullah in his sakaratul maut," Jibril
said.

Not for a while, Rasulullah (SAW) uttered a groan because of unbearable pain.

"O ALLAH, how greatest is this sakaratul maut. Give me all these pains, don't
to my people."

The body of Rasulullah (SAW) became cold, his feet and chest did not move
anymore.

His lips vibrated as if he wanted to say something, Ali took his ear close to
Rasulullah (SAW).

"Uushiikum bis shalati, wa maa malakat aimanuku?, take care the shalat and take
care the weak people among you."

Outside the room, there were cries shouted each other, sahabat held each other.
Fatimah closed her face with her hands and, again, Ali took his ear close to
Rasulullah's (SAW) mouth which became bluish.

"Ummatii, ummatii, ummatii?" ? "My people, my people, my people."

And the life of the noble man ended.

Could we love each other like him? Allahumma sholli 'ala Muhammad wa baarik wa
salim 'alaihi.

How deep is Rasulullah's (SAW) love to us.
-
Note:

Send this to all your Muslim friends so that the awareness to love ALLAH and
HIS Rasul appears as ALLAH and HIS Rasul love us - Amiin?

Don't worry if people hate you because there are many others who love and care
for you in the earth. But be worried if ALLAH hates you because there is no
other who loves and cares for you in akhirat.

Re: Bismillah [IslamCity] Kurdish Powder Keg in Turkey's Dark Shadow, Daily Muslims

2008-04-14 Thread Orhan Muhammed Al Shareef
Assalaamu 'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

It's not as easy as you make it out to be akhi. One of the main reasons why
the formation of a 'Kurdistan' is on the drawing board is because there's
plenty of 'oil' reserves in places such as Mosul, Kirkuk, and surounds.
Infact the terrorist group PKK has been found to carry American weaponry when
they have been uprooted or killed by the Turkish Army - and this has caused a
rift amongst the Turkish Army and the States. It is a known fact (not a
theory), that American CIA and other entities - as well as MOSAD help train the
PKK and arm them to fight against the Turkish nation. This is not about some
freedom from tryanny, but rather communists and others who have come together
in order to gain some 'leadership'.

I bare no hatred towards the Kurdish people, because my father is Kurdish and
mother Turkish. Yes the Kurdish people have been neglected for some 80+ years,
but again this is due to complicated scenarios (a revolt by a Kurdish leader
during the end of the Ottoman and the beginnings of the Turkish Jumhuriyyah
(Republic of Turkey). The Kurdish scholar Said Nursi also requested that a
University be built in the East of Turkey - however Ataturk and people who came
after him dedicated much of their efforts towards Istanbul and the West.
The PKK has a large proportion of Armenians within this terrorist
organisation - and it is one would believe, all used for the Greater -Middle
East Project- known in Turkish as the Orta Dogu Projesi - which is basically a
project to reshape the Middle East. The Iraq war is the primary step in this
project, and the division of Turkey, or Iran and Iraq will follow - unless
Muslim nations act with care and forward planning.
Your thoughts may be good in nature, however if we look at the States, why
doesn't the US give a whole chunk of land to the native American Indian's? Or
the Australians, why do they not give say 20% of their land to the Aboriginees
who have lived here for over 40,000 years?!!!

It's not a simple issue akhi, and the Kurds are not one uniform group - you
have the Shafi'ee Muslim Kurds, the communists, the atheists, the Christians,
and those who are Armenian in background also as well as the 'Alawi Kurds - so
live and let live is nice in theory, but in reality only plays in favour of the
New World Order which the West and the Zionists want - and the Middle East
Project is nothing but the preparing of the land from the Nile to the Euphrates
(which includes Turkey and Kurdistan and Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan) - for
the coming of the Dajjalic army and for Dajjal also.

May Allah unite the hearts of the Muslimeen and allow us to have wisdom in
our affairs. They have divided us enough - the lines which they drew out for
the 'countries' have caused enough nationalism amongst us - We don't need more
borders - but less borders and more Muhabbah and love amongst the various
Muslim ethnicities.

KURDS believe that they are of different ethnic composition and rightly so, a

 By Stephen Braun

 Los Angeles Times Staff Writer

April 13, 2008

NEW YORK — As Chinese authorities have clamped down on unrest in Tibet and
jailed dissidents in advance of the 2008 Olympics, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton
has taken a strong public stance, calling for restraint in Tibet and urging
President Bush to boycott the Olympics opening ceremonies in Beijing.

But her recent stern comments on China's internal crackdown collide with former
President Bill Clinton's fundraising relationship with a Chinese Internet
company accused of collaborating with the mainland government's censorship of
the Web. Last month, the firm, Alibaba Inc., carried a government-issued "most
wanted" posting on its Yahoo China homepage, urging viewers to provide
information on Tibetan activists suspected of stirring recent riots.

Alibaba, which took over Yahoo's China operation in 2005 as part of a
billion-dollar deal with the U.S.-based search engine, arranged for the former
president to speak to a conference of Internet executives in Hangzhou in
September 2005. Instead of taking his standard speaking fees, which have ranged
from $100,000 to $400,000, Clinton accepted an unspecified private donation
from Alibaba to his international charity, the William J. Clinton Foundation.

Bismillah [IslamCity] The True Confessions of a Conspiracy Theorist

2008-04-14 Thread saiyed shahbazi
”Monsters do exist, but they are too few in number to be truly dangerous. More
dangerous are the common men, those functionaries willing to think and to act
without asking questions.“
–Primo Levi
”Paranoia is having all the facts“
–William Burroughs
Because I have a tendency to turn a normal conversation into a tempestuous
discourse about world politics, trade agreements, and/or the sinister
connotations of the plentiful number of shampoo choices at the drugstore, I
have provoked the ire of many. I frolic merrily in the meadows of verbal
trouble–making; I linger dangerously in the undulating hills of social
banishment. However, I have discovered that during my long career as a hapless
instigator, I have never unintentionally aroused more hot temper than
concerning the issue of sports in the mainstream media.
Yes, it’s true. You can question a person’s politics, his economic
preferences, his favourite tyrannical dictators (Suave Stalin? Marvellous Mao?
Irresistible Idi?), or even his mother’s biryani, and he will calmly weather it
all. But say one challenging word against sporting establishments such as the
NHL, the NFL, or the Champions League, and by Gretzky’s stick, you’ve had it.
Once, I distinctly remember telling someone that televised sports are part
and parcel of the entertainment monolith that seeks to distract people from the
reality of the global situation. They say that the pen is mightier than the
sword, but I really do believe that the television screen could blow them both
out of the water faster than you could say ’Holy mind control Batman!’ Seen in
this way, the NBA is really no different from Entertainment Tonight: both
enterprises are highly successful in pumping us full of pointless facts
(Britney Spears’ second marriage or Michael Jordan's umpteenth retirement
announcement) that have no direct effect on our lives. Well, you can imagine
the uproar that caused: ”If you think that the NBA is run by the Freemasons,
you’re totally crazy!“
I completely understand why the majority of people get defensive when the
world of organized sports is called into question. It’s the one area where the
public is given almost full disclosure, in terms of history, ownership, and
motives, amongst other information. It is the one area that you feel is really
yours, conversing for hours on end and sounding like an expert. Even I have to
admit that such talk is, at times, impressive. It sounds cool: ”2–1…Kobe drops
45 for the double U!“ Nevertheless, I am of the opinion that playing the game
itself would be more rewarding in terms of physical renewal than constantly
talking about it. Can you imagine such zeal surrounding discussions on the
Central American Free Trade Agreement or the detrimental effect of Export
Processing zones on the infant economies of the Third World? I think not. It’s
kind of hard to argue the fact that this stuff is distracting. The question is,
then, is it distracting on purpose?
It is mildly irritating to be lumped into the ’crazy conspiracy theorist’
category; thrown in with the bitter hordes who blame America for everything, or
the muttering, obsessive compulsives who hold Freemasonry as the fount of all
evil. I’d rather be categorized as an over analytical, couch–jumping crazy,
however, than be among the free citizenry who might as well walk around in ’In
CNN We Trust’ bandanas.
Are the masses willing to turn a blind eye to the obvious bias and overt
political agenda present in publications such as Time Magazine? I challenge
people to whip out their red markers the next time they pick up an issue, and
critically evaluate what they are reading. There are, of course, the standard
articles about terrorists and homeland security and the stale justifications
for war. Look closer, and one begins to see the surreptitious, seemingly ’by
the way’ references to terrorism and the global ’Islamist’ threat in innocuous
articles about cutting edge gardening implements. Is this unbiased,
professional journalism or fear mongering for the promotion of an alternate
political agenda?
People enjoy reading about Freemasonry, the interesting markings on dollar
bills, countless ’conspiracy theories’, because they have all the titillating
accouterments of mystery, of exclusivity, of being ’in’ on a great secret. One
gets a sense of having discovered something, of being privy to confidential
information, of standing out in the crowd of pitiless fools who aren’t aware of
the significance of the pyramids on American currency. It does not help that we
have a youth culture which fosters sensationalism and quick fixes, rather than
one that would encourage sound reasoning, critical thinking, and the
development of a sturdy intellect. Perhaps this would also explain the
unfortunate proliferation of what I like to call ’The Wikipedia Happy School of
Pseudo-Intellectualism.’ In a culture where it is ’cool’ to be calculatedly

child, he brought her (to him). The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) gave orders
regarding her, and her clothes were tied to her. He then commanded regarding
her and she was stoned to death. He commanded the people (to pray) and they
prayed over her.
Thereupon Umar said: Are you praying over her, Apostle of Allah, when she has
committed fornication?
He said: By Him in Whose hand my soul is, she has repented to such an extent
that if it were divided among the seventy people of Medina, it would have been
enough for them all. And what do you find better than the fact that she gave
her life.
Aban did not say in his version: Then her clothes were tied to her

Bismillah [IslamCity] UAE and Qatar may drop dollar peg in six months

2008-04-14 Thread Shahid
UAE and Qatar may drop dollar peg in six months
(Bloomberg)

9 November 2007

DUBAI - The United Arab Emirates or Qatar may drop their currencies' pegs to
the dollar within six months as inflationary pressures outweigh the benefits of
maintaining the links, Merrill Lynch & Co said.

"We believe there is a significant risk of a change in the policy regimes of
either the UAE or Qatar in the coming six months," Merrill Lynch said in a
research note published yesterday.

"Speculation pressure on other members of the GCC will remain and we expect
Kuwait to maintain constant appreciation against the dollar."

Kuwait dropped the dinar's peg to the dollar May 20, citing inflationary
pressure from European imports, prompting speculation that its Gulf Arab
neighbours including Saudi Arabia and the UAE might follow. The Saudi riyal has
been trading near 20-year highs since Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain chose not
to follow the Federal Reserve's half-point rate cut.

The central bank governors of Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have all
said a number of times since May that they have no plans to drop their
currencies' pegs to the dollar.

UAE Central Bank Governor Sultan bin Nasser Al Suwaidi said repeatedly that any
change will be coordinated with other Gulf states.

All six of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries followed the Fed's
quarter-point cut on October 31. Reducing interest rates is inflationary at a
time when the Gulf states are battling to control price increases as their
economies boom on record oil prices.

Saudi inflation: Saudi Arabia's inflation rate in September rose to 4.9 per
cent, its highest in at least five years. Saudi central bank Governor Hamad
Saud Al Sayari said yesterday that accelerating consumer price growth is the
"biggest challenge" facing the economy.

Inflation rose to a record 9.3 per cent in the UAE last year, while in Qatar
price growth slowed to 12.8 per cent in the second quarter from 14.8 percent in
the first quarter.

"Attempting to control inflation through monetary policy at the same time as
retaining currency stability is not sustainable in the long-term," Merrill
Lynch said in yesterday's note. "If there are higher interest rates in the
pegged country then speculative funds will flow in as an attempt to arbitrage
the difference."

Bismillah [IslamCity] Why The Jews Were Cursed Courtesy:http://islamicawakening.com/viewarticle.php?articleID=636

2008-04-14 Thread Abdul Wahid Osman Belal
Why The Jews Were Cursed Muhammad
ash-Shareef Article ID: 636 |
3521 Reads

Rasul Allah's wife, Umm Al-Mu'mineen Safiyyah bint Huyayy - radi'Allahu 'anha
- was the daughter of one of the Jewish leaders of Madinah. After her Islam,
she informed the Prophet - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - when she had first
felt the rays of Islam enter her blessed heart.

It was the day that Anas - radi Allahu 'anhu - describes as the most radiant
day to every come upon al-Madinah - the day Rasul Allah - salAllahu alayhi wa
sallam - entered it. All the Ansar men, women and children gathered to greet
him, cheers of praise to Allah filled the air.

Amongst the gathering were 2 men; as much as the Ansar and Muhaajireen revered
the Prophet, they despised him. It was the father of Safiyyah - radi Allahu
'anha - and her uncle.

She was only a youngster as she looked into the darkness and gloom that had
enveloped their faces when they returned home that day. Her Jewish uncle 1400
years ago asked, "Is it him? Is it the Prophet that our scriptures speak of?"
Huyayy lowered his head and said, "Yes. It is him." "Then what shall we do?"
Safiyyah's uncle continued. Huyayy looked into his eyes, "Till the final day we
shall be his bitterest enemies!"

>From the very first raka'ah of Taraweeh we read the verse in the opening
>Surah: [Guide us to the straight path - The path of those upon whom You have
>bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked (Your) anger!..]

Adiyy ibn Hatim asked Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - who it was
that evoked Allah's anger? He said, "It was the Jews" - Tafseer Ibn Katheer

When I was in high school, studying in journalism class, our teacher had placed
on the wall a statement that I spent many days contemplating. It simply said,
"Freedom of the press (speech) belongs to those that own the press!" Who owns
the press? Well, you can believe me when I say that it is not the god fearing
beloved of Allah.

It is this same press that molds and programs the aqeedah of a huge section of
our Ummah. Many of our brothers and sisters are illiterate to the words of
Allah and the guidance of Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam, so it is
with little doubt that their ideas are subconsciously molded by what Seinfeld
tells them at 8 pm every Wednesday evening.

It is this same brother or sister that asks the question, "I don't understand
why the Jews were cursed. Seinfeld is funny. What did he do?"

This khutbah is our media and in sha' Allah we shall learn in these few moments
only samples of what carried the Jews to evoke Allah's anger.

In the opening verses of Surat Al-Baqarah, Allah invites the Children of
Isra'eel to come back - to remember the favor and blessing He bestowed upon
them - and to fulfill the promise that they would follow the Prophet when he
was sent to them.

[O Children of Israel, remember My favor that I bestowed upon you and fulfill
My covenant upon you that I will fulfill your convenant (from Me) and fear only
Me.] - Surah al-Baqarah 2/40

Allah saved them of their slavery to Fir'own, he saved them from sea and
drowned Fir'own and his army. Allah selected them to receive food from the sky.
Allah sent them Prophet after Prophet from amongst themselves, and sent the
Holy scriptures - the Towrah and the Injeel. Allah preferred them over all
others at their time.

[ ...And that I preferred you over the worlds (i.e. people).] - Surah
al-Baqarah 2/47

How did they reply these Blessings of Allah?

(i) They Followed Only What They Wanted to

When a Prophet came to them, if what he taught did not appeal to them they
either rejected that truth or slit the throat of the Prophet and followed what
was to them appealing.

[We had already taken the covenant of the Children of Israel and had sent to
them messengers. Whenever there came to them a messenger with what their souls
did not desire, a groups (of the Messengers) they denied and another party they
killed.] - al Maa'idah 5/70

And we must remember here that this is not the commentary of some human
journalist who claims to be neutral. This is the Lord of the Universe telling
us - in verses to be read till the final day - the deepest secrets that lie in
the pits of Judaism. [And who is more truthful than Allah in statement!] - al
Nisaa' 4/87

(ii) They Changed the Words of Allah

There was groups of Jews that would change the words of Allah - adding
something here, deleting there - to pound the truth and keep the flock in
servitude to what they desired.

[And indeed, there is among them a party who alter the Scripture with their
tongues so you may think it is from the Scripture, but it is not from the
Scripture. And they say, "This is from Allah," but it is not from Allah. A
