Bismillah [IslamCity] Powerful Quote
As Salaamu Alaikum QUOTE Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well. There is nothing more potent than thought. Deed follows word and word follows thought. The word is the result of a mighty thought, and where the thought is mighty and pure the result is always mighty and pure. --- Mohandas K. Bismillah [IslamCity] ruling: Explanation of the hadith (I'm given the Qur'an something like it)
Question # 128162: What is the meaning of the words of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): I have been given the Qur'aan and something like it along with it? Question: What is the meaning of the words of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): I have been given the Qur'aan and something like it along with it?. Answer: Praise be to Allaah. This hadeeth is one of the sound hadeeths that are proven to be from the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). What is meant by the words and something like it along with it is that Allah has given him another revelation, which is the Sunnah which explains the Qur'aan and clarifies its meanings, as Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): And We have also sent down unto you (O Muhammad ??? ) the Dhikr [reminder and the advice (i.e. the Qur'aan)], that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them, and that they may give thought [al-Nahl 16:44] So Allah revealed the Qur'aan to him and also the Sunnah, which is the hadeeth which are proven to be from him (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), which have to do with prayer, zakaah, fasting, Hajj and other religious and worldly matters. The Sunnah is a second revelation which Allah revealed to him to complete the message, and he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) expressed that in the hadeeths which he explained to the ummah in word and in deed and by means of his approval, such as his saying: Deeds are but by intentions, and each man will have but that which he intended; and The prayer of one of you will not be accepted if he breaks wind until he does wudoo'; and No prayer is accepted without purification, and no charity is excepted from wealth acquired by treacherous means; and The five daily prayers, one Ramadan to another, and one Jumu'ah to another, are expiation for the sins that come in between them, so long as you do not commit major sins. And there are many other saheeh hadeeths which speak of everything that a person needs to know and which have to do with explanation of the Book of Allah. This revelation is a revelation that Allah revealed to him, of which the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) spoke and explained to the ummah. The meanings are revelation from Allah, and the words are from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), like the words quoted above: Actions are but by intention... and like his words: The two parties to a transaction have the option (of cancelling it) so long as they have not yet parted... The second revelation which was given to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) also includes the sacred hadeeth (hadeeth qudsi) which the Messenger transmitted from his Lord, may He be glorified and exalted. They are revelation from Allah and are His words, but they do not come under the same ruling as the Qur'aan, such as what the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said, narrating it from his Lord: O My slaves, I have forbidden injustice to Myself, and I have made it forbidden among you, so do not wrong one another. O My slaves, all of you are misguided except those whom I guide, so ask Me for guidance, I will guide you... this is a lengthy hadeeth, which was narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh from Abu Dharr al-Ghifaari (may Allah be pleased with him). All of that is included in the words of Allah (interpretation of the meaning): By the star when it goes down (or vanishes). Your companion (Muhammad ??? ) has neither gone astray nor has erred. Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only a Revelation revealed [al-Najm 53:1-4] Majmoo' Fataawa Ibn Baaz (25/58-61). http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/128162

Bismillah [IslamCity] QA: Getting student loan with intention of repaying before interest is added on - Shaykh Saalih as-Suhaymee
asalamualikum *Question:* In the US, we have a student loan in which the government pays the interest while the student is in school, and after the student finishes school, he will have to pay the principal plus interest. But if the student pays the loan back while in school, he will not have to pay the interest. Is it permissible to sign a contract for this type of loan if the student anticipates that he will pay off the entire amount before he graduates ? *Answer:* Regarding this issue we want to look at it from a couple angles. The first is that we want to distinguish between the one who has accepted Islaam and this is his condition and the one who was already a Muslim when involving himself in this transaction. As it relates to the one who has accepted Islaam, he is not accountable for these types of transactions in the Sight of Allaah سبحانه و تعالى as the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم accepted money from the people acquired before Islaam then it stays in his possession as he had no knowledge of the Islaamic rulings before he accepted Islaam, and likewise, *Islaam ereases/demolishes anything that came before it from sins.* [2] *Some of the Sahaaba accepted Islaam and they (previously) used to trade in alcohol products, gambling and these types of things and it has not been reported that the Prophet *صلى الله عليه و سلم told them to give back any of that money or to leave it off. *This is except for interest* i.e. if he is one that someone owes interest to then he has to give up the right to interest because at this point he has become a Muslim and he cannot accept interest from anyone. The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم as is mentioned, extinguished the interest of al-Abbas i.e. he could not accept any of the interest owed to him after he accepted Islaam, but it didn't have anything to do with the interest that was given to him begore Islaam. As for the Muslim, it is not permissible for him to involve himself in the type of transaction mentioned in the question, and that is because in Islaam *the end does not justify the means. All transactions that involve interest are not permissible in Islaam.* The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم *cursed the one who takes Riba (Interest) and the one who gives Riba and the one who is a witness to Riba...*[3] to the end of the hadith. Even if this individual does not have the ability to study because he cannot afford it if he does not get involved in this type of transaction, then this doen not make it permissible and he still *cannot* utilize this type of transaction as the end does not justify the means. *Answered by: Shaykh Saalih as-Suhaymee حفظه الله * *Title of Lecture: General Questions Answer Session * *Date of the Lecture: March 11th, 2006* *Listen to Lecture: **Click Herehttp://www.albaseerah.org/audio/suhaymi.htm * *Read the Transcribed Lecture **Click Here*http://http//www.albaseerah.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1196 -- Masjid Ahlul-Quraan wa As-Sunnah of New york http://www.seekknowledge.org http://www.albaseerah.org

Bismillah [IslamCity] QA: Explanation of the Verse: If a faasiq (sinner) comes to you with news then verify it - Shaykh Abdullah Al Ghuydaan
asalamualikum.. *Question: *Concerning the verse “*If a faasiq (sinner) comes to you with news then verify it*” [1] – can we deduce from this verse that if it is not a faasiq then we do not need to verify it (the news)? *Answer:* The verse explains that the news of a faasiq must be checked as more often than not, he tells a lie. However, in matters of dispute where the dispute is before a judge, then an individual regardless of who he is should have some form of character reference. This is why when a person goes in front of a judge there must be some verification to say that this person is an upright individual. The Shaykh حفظه الله gave the example of *a person who came to ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه and wanted to be a character reference for a man, he asked him, “Did you travel with him?” He said “No.” He asked if he was a neighbour to him and he said “No” He asked if he had some business transaction with him with dinaar or dirham (units of money)? He said “No”. He said “Then you don’t know him.”* So the person who is going to be a character reference for someone must know the individual that he is talking about and recommending. The verse may be misunderstood because the implied understanding is not something that is general. In normal circumstances, if an individual comes e.g. Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthmaan, ‘Ali or someone like that who is trustworthy, then unless there is something to prove otherwise, their word is accepted. *Answered by: Shaykh Abdullah Al Ghuydaan* *Title of lecture: Tafseer Surah Al-Hujuraat, Class #3* *Date answered: 3rd February 2007* *Listen to lecture: Click here http://www.albaseerah.org/audio/audioictf.htm* *Read transcribed lecture: Click here http://www.albaseerah.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2409* [1] Surah al-Hujuraat 49:6 -- Masjid Ahlul-Quraan wa As-Sunnah of New york http://www.seekknowledge.org http://www.albaseerah.org

Bismillah [IslamCity] Marks of Faith On Their Faces From Traces of Prostration
Bismillah Hir Rahmaan Nir Raheem Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatuallahi wa barakatuhu Download Tafsir Ibn Kathir www.muttaqun.com/pc/tafsir.zip 48:29. Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allâh, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allâh and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurât (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allâh has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islâmic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad SAW till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise). tafsir by Ibn Kathir The mark of them is on their faces from the traces of prostration.) refers to graceful appearance, according to Ibn `Abbas as reported from him by `Ali bin Abi Talhah. Mujahid and several others explained: It means, humbleness and reverence.'' Some said, The righteous good deed brings light to the heart, brightness to the face, ampleness in provisions, and love in people's hearts.'' The Leader of the faithful, `Uthman bin `Affan said, Everyone who hides a secret, then Allah the Exalted will either show on his face what he's done or by the words that accidentally slip from his mouth.'' Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin `Abbas said that the Prophet said, (Verily, good conduct, graceful appearance and moderation are one part out of twenty-five parts of prophethood.) Abu Dawud also collected this Hadith. Therefore, since the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, had sincere intentions and righteous good deeds, all those who looked at them liked their appearance and conduct. Imam Malik said, I was told that when the Christians saw the Companions, who conquered Ash-Sham, they commented, `These people are, by Allah, better than the Disciples (of `Isa) according to what has been conveyed to us.''' They indeed said the truth, for this Ummah was mentioned in an honorable way in previously revealed Scriptures. The best and most honored members of this Ummah are the Companions of the Messenger of Allah . Allah, the Exalted and Most Honored, praised them in previous Books and Revelations, and this is why He said here, (This is their description in the Tawrah), then said, (But their description in the Injil is like a seed which sends forth its shoot (Shat`ah,)) its shoot or branch, (then makes it strong,) able to stand on its own, (and becomes thick), youthful and long, (and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers,) Such is the parable that describes the Companions of Allah's Messenger . They gave the Messenger aid, support and victory, just as the shoot hardens the plant, (that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. ) Surah Isra 17 verse 80 Say: O my Lord! let my entry be by the Gate of Truth and Honor and likewise my exit by the Gate of Truth and Honor; and grant me from Thy Presence an authority to aid (me). Bismillah [IslamCity] Jews kidnap Palestinian children
Jew kidnapped 7600 Palestinian children 21 February 2009 Palestinian researcher, specializing in detainees' affairs, Awni Farawna, stated that the Zionist gangs have kidnapped a total of 7600 Palestinian children, males and females, since the year 2000; 246 children are still behind bars, International Middle East Media Center reported. At least 200 of the kidnapped children were detained under administrative detention, without charges or trial. Some of the children were as young as 12 years old. One detainee is now 13 months old as he was born behind bars. His mother, Fatima Al Zoq, was kidnapped while pregnant, and gave birth in prison while she was handcuffed and her legs were tied to the hospital bed. Farawna stated that Israel's targeting of children is a policy that targets childhood and a healthy growth, and expressed concern over the fate of the detained children as they are subjected to different sorts of violations, including torture and isolation, which affects their growth, physical and psychological conditions, in addition to affecting their education. Hundreds of children were cut off schools due to being imprisoned; hundreds of detainees were kidnapped when they were children and grew up behind bars. Many of them have spent more years behind bars than with their families. Several detained children were sexually abused and violated by interrogators and soldiers, while a number of Israeli prisoners, held for criminal violations, also attacked them. Farawna stated that international law and treaties regarding children forbid barring children from their freedom, forbid torturing and violating them. Many children were arrested more than one time before they reached the age of 18; others were kidnapped as children, and grew up to be young men and women while they were in prison. Several children who grew up in prison and were released later on are having difficulties in coping with the outside world; some became violent and tend to seek vengeance. Farawna demanded international human rights groups to intervene and put pressure on Israel in order to oblige Israel to comply with international law and the fourth Geneva Convention. http://www.kavkazcenter.com/eng/content/2009/02/21/10559.shtml
Bismillah [IslamCity] Israel's youngest divorcee is just 14
Israel's youngest divorcee is just 14 14-year-old girl receives $2,390 as she is divorced by 17-year-old husband after Jewish religious marriage. TEL AVI - A 14-year-old girl has become Israel's youngest divorcee after splitting from her 17-year-old husband under pressure from the boy's parents, newspaper reports said on Thursday. A rabbinical court recognised the unnamed pair as married because the teens, both from religious Jewish families, performed the only three requirements of marriage under Jewish religious law -- ceremony, consent and sexual relations. Jewish religious law does not require the presence of a rabbi at a wedding ceremony. The boy gave his girlfriend a ring in front of friends who served as witnesses, and said: Behold, you are consecrated to me by means of this ring, according to the law of Moses and Israel. The two later consummated their union, newspapers said. When the boy's parents learned of the marriage, they demanded that he divorce, but the young bride initially refused. She reportedly relented after the boy's parents paid her 10,000 shekels (2,390 dollars, 1,874 euros). Their divorced status would likely appear on the teens' identity cards when they receive them at the age of 16. The Jerusalem Rabbinical Court then held expedited divorce proceedings for the pair and issued a statement hoping that this story serves as a lesson to young people who have to understand that marriage is a serious affair. Israeli law does not allow for civil marriage, and those wishing to tie the knot may do so only in accordance with the customs of their respective religions. Jews may only marry in Israel in accordance with Halacha, but civil marriages from abroad are recognized. The story caused mixed reaction, with some Jews defending the child marriage. Humanity hasn't changed, and the Torah and its teachings are eternal, said one commentator. According to Jewish religious law, she will not be able to marry anyone with the name of Cohen, traditionally from the Jewish priestly caste. Many commentators were more concerned with the Jewish law implications of the case, even discussing the religious view of the consequences of what is to happen if they had children. One commentator said she should perform a religious repentance; prompting a protest from another who said that she did nothing wrong to repent from. What did she do that requires Teshuvah (repentance)? She was halachically married and had a physical relationship...the Torah allows a girl over the age of 12 to get married. Another commentator touched on the issues of virginity and polygamy. The sexes are not equal in this regard; there really is a double standard. A guy has no virginity to lose, and ... he can have as many wives as he likes. Even after he gets married, she becomes a married woman, but he doesn't become a 'married man'; Jewish law doesn't recognise such a thing - he's 'the husband of a woman', but he's not 'married'. If he plays around with a single woman it's not adultery, and the kids are not mamzerim (bastards) http://www.middle-east-online.com/english/culture/?id=30649
