[~dstiegli1] File is of new xlsx format (NIFI-8005.xlsx attached to the issue).

I've just tried this scenario on latest version of Nifi (19.1.1) and it still
works as described. Here how it looks after run:

!image-2023-01-10-00-26-15-959.png|width=678,height=619!

You're right, the file exists in the original relationship, but that really
doesn't help in programming the flow.

[~dstiegli1] But have you actually tried to reproduce this case on real Nifi
deployment and not in code and unit tests?

In my case input file doesn't exist in the input "original" as you say
relationship. It just disappears and can't be found anywhere.

[jira] [Created] (NIFI-8007) Add UI option for turning off grid background

2020-11-14 Thread Svyatoslav (Jira)
Svyatoslav created NIFI-8007:

Summary: Add UI option for turning off grid background
 Key: NIFI-8007
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-8007
 Project: Apache NiFi
  Issue Type: Improvement
  Components: Core UI

 Attachments: image-2020-11-14-22-07-00-543.png,
image-2020-11-14-22-10-17-591.png, image-2020-11-14-22-10-47-267.png

As of my personal preference, grid background is not very pleasant.

!image-2020-11-14-22-07-00-543.png!

Also it gives much confusion when aligning elements on the diagram: when one
moves the diagram with left mouse button or changing the zoom grid stays the
same while elements move. E.g. the same diagram fragment after moving the whole
diagram:

!image-2020-11-14-22-10-17-591.png!

and after zoom:

!image-2020-11-14-22-10-47-267.png!

So it doesn't give much information for proper diagram element alignment.

Svyatoslav updated NIFI-8004:
-
Description:
Input flow file is in Avro format, contains array of records, one of them with
following fields

!image-2020-11-14-21-32-12-673.png!

Field in line 124 (let's name it f124) in one of the records contains string
value. The corresponding field in PostgreSQL database, where PutDatabaseRecords
upserts the data is of type numeric.

PutDatabaseRecord writes errors to the bulletin board, but the flow file
causing error doesn't route to failure and stays in the input queue:
