Hmm, I have some trouble on this one.
First the build process in itself is qwuite complicated.

Since we do not have a high release cycle today, I think this is today not an
issue.
Even if we use DSL.

I would rather close this issue.
If you have still an issue with this, I invite you to start a discussion on dev
mailing list, with the devs that work on our build toolset. I have the feel
that this is more result promising then this Bug report that no one reads :-).

All the best
Peter

Hello,

After 7 years I assume this has no more relevance. If I am wrong, please reach
out to the dev mailing list and raise your request there. We have to much
Issues and we should limit it to Issues within the software and not with any
Processes.

   Product: Calc
   Version: 4.1.3

  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: davidmrcole...@gmail.com

Selecting a column by clicking on the column label and then copying to the
clipboard causes a crash.

The same operation on a row works.

This problem has occurred at least since 2016 April. It also happens on
LibreOffice.

[Issue 127161] PDF Encryption Breached

2016-10-17 Thread bugzilla

PS: Since the use of passwords to prevent editing (but not reading) involves
weak protections that can be overcome by a malicious party, what can be done to
deal with the prospect of alteration.

An available approach is to digitally-sign any such document so that if there
are alterations, the signature will either be removed or fail to verify. The
signature also demonstrates the authenticity of the document that is provided
to recipients.

I don't know how that works for PDFs, but digital signatures will work for
OpenOffice Calc and Writer documents. Any mechanism for signing PDFs is
probably something that Adobe provides. I don't believe there is any provision
in OpenOffice for successfully signing non-ODF documents.

It is necessary to obtain a public-key certificate to do this. There are free
ones available for users on Microsoft Windows. There are other arrangements
for other platforms.

[Issue 127169] New: Enhancement Request - Ability for User to Set Colour of the I-beam (Cursor)

2016-10-17 Thread bugzilla
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127169

  Issue ID: 127169
Issue Type: ENHANCEMENT
Summary: Enhancement Request - Ability for User to Set Colour
of the I-beam (Cursor)
   Product: Writer
   Version: 4.1.3
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows 7
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: Major
  Priority: P5 (lowest)
 Component: viewing
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: babelfish0...@hotmail.com

Created attachment 85737
  --> https://bz.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=85737=edit
Screenshot Showing I-beam on Green Document Backgroud Colour

I like to use OpenOffice with the document background colour set to a green
colour. This raises a problem with the I-beam (cursor): the colour of the
I-beam makes it difficult to see on a green background (this is also true if
using other colours for the document background colour). I assume that this
situation arises because giving the user the capability to change the document
background colour the colour of the I-beam was never considered.

Please could someone give the user the capacity to set the colour of the I-beam
so that the user can choose a colour that displays well with their choice of
document background colour.

If this feature was developed I would say that my preference would be for the
I-beam colour setting to be in the same place as the setting that allows the
document background colour to be chosen. (If the I-beam colour was buried
somewhere in Advanced Settings this would be of no use to people new to
OpenOffice.)

So that you can be clear of what I'm speaking about when I refer to the
"I-beam" I have made an attachment to this request.

I have marked this issue as "Major" because in some instances this inability to
change the I-beam colour makes some document background colours impossible to
use.

This bug also fails on windows 10.
I attempted to reproduce the bug several ways.
My computer is 64 bit, Windows 10 machine

Attempt 1: I tried to reproduce the bug exactly as it was done in the original,
and I got the same results

Attempt 2: I did the same process but used the number 15.25
entered 15.25, and changed it to cm, the result was 1.53 in cm, then I changed
it back to mm and the result was 15.29, an incorrect number.

Attempt 3: I tried the same process but used the number 15.34, in cm it
displayed at 1.53, and then I changed it back to mm where it displayed 15.29.

Attempt 4:I tried to change from 10.09 mm to inches, and back to mm. I got .4in
and 10.16 mm

Attempt 5: I tried to change from 10.09 mm to pica and back, got 10.16. Same
result changing to point and back

Attempt 6: I changed it to 10.09 mm, then pushed ok and exited the dialogue.
Then I opened the options again, changed it to cm, got 1.01, then i changed it
to mm and got 10.09. It worked with all of the other units to.

This problem only occurs when a new number is put into the number box and the
units are changed before pushing ok.

I believe there is an error when rounding numbers, and significant digits.

Mainly because fixes from trunk are applied to the release branch only on
demand, by requesting release blocker status.

Concerning this bug, IMO it has been hijacked by different bugs, the original
one being a MacOSX report; it seems that we have no confirmation from any Mac
user that their problem was caused by an absolute path in Mozilla's
