jdk1.1.6v1 bug
Hi all, I am new to this list and looking forward to participate. I just installed the jdk1.1.6v1 this morning and the two problems I encountered, menu not displaying properly and title bar displaying AWt... have already been discussed on this list. (I checked the archive). It always feel securing to see others experiencing the same problem as we do. Keep in touch, Richard.
Re: Survey, what tool do you use?
Here is a message I sent to the freebuilder list a while ago. At the time,(april 98) I titled it "A dream come true". Since then, it just got better and better. I hope you find this IDE as useful as I do. I have been doing all my developpement in it for the last 3 month and every week I discover a new feature that helps in my work. Tell me what you think. jdk1.1.6v2 comment
Hi, After few days with v2 here are some comments. 1- Responsiveness seems much better 2- Font in JDialog are much nicer and more readable 3- The unsupported cap lock in JTextField is fixed 4- Title in JFrame now work as expected. 5- The strange behavior of JMenu as described earlier on this list is still there. And No it is not a problem of older SWING version like it's been mention on the list. I downloaded a fresh 1.0.2 version from Sun and it still does it. One workaround that could point out where the bug comes from is that all we have to do to make this behavior desapear is to move or resize the window with the mouse once; after that the menu work as expected. There seems to be a validate routine that is called after a move() or resise() and that is not in a setVisible() and should be. Thanks again for your work Steve and everybody involve in this port. Richard.

Thanks for the info Kevin. On thing that puzzle me though is that this bug only appeared with 1.1.6; on 1.1.5v7 it didn't show on my kde b4. Strange. Regards, Richard

Modal Dialog bug.
Hi, Has anyone experience a problem with AWT dialog and Swing JDialog with jdk 1.1.6v2 libc5. All my dialog hang the machine on closing if I've set modal to true. They worked fine in 1.1.5v7. Regards, Richard

Jad wich is the fastest and most powerfull java decompiler I've seen 2. bzip2 a very powerfull zip comp/decompresser 3. JClassPatch with the Win32PlaOnLinux.diff.
