[JAWS-Users] Re: problem with J8.0.2107 and outlook express

2007-04-27 Thread Ricque

Hi Lenny,
If you have any script files in the Jaws 8 users folder, try disableing them
with the
manage application settings, from the options menu in the Jaws application
window.
And then try Outlook Express again.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] problem with J8.0.2107 and outlook express

Hello,
I just executed the automatic update to 8.0.2107. When I tried to use
outlook express I get an error when trying to create a new message or
forwarding a message.
When I enter control N I get an error unknown script to new and a similar
error message when attempting a forward.
I called support and was told to download the version and run that file
because something became corrupted.
I was told that when I would run this file I would get a message stating
that a version exists and I should select the repair option.
I was not presented with that choice. I was instructed to go to add/remove
and remove the program.
After I removed the 8.0 I ran the setup again. Well I still have the same
problem.
My serial number is 1247
Right now I went back to version 7.1

You can do that by hitting control+insert+W. What that does is capture the

Thanks to all who have replied to my inquiry about the clock. You are
correct in that the time is reported at the moment the page is accessed. I
would need to make the page automatically refresh itself at a given time

David,

It appears that your little script is reporting for the time zone of the PC
accessing the web page. However, if you stay on the page beyond the initial
minute that doesn't get reported, I found it necessary to refresh the page
to get the time updated from 8:18 to 8:19.

[JAWS-Users] Re: the group home page

2007-04-27 Thread Bill Gallik

David,

It appears that your little script is reporting for the time zone of the PC
accessing the web page. However, if you stay on the page beyond the initial
minute that doesn't get reported, I found it necessary to refresh the page
to get the time updated from 8:18 to 8:19.

I just placed a clock on the home page which is not a big deal but it will
give you the correct time and date. What I would like if somebody who is not
in the eastern time zone to visit the page and let me know their findings.
In other words tell me if the time is correct for you or is the script
reporting the server's time which is in the eastern time zone.

Honestly it isn't mine, I just got it from a reliable source by the name of
Rick Justice. I don't know where he got it from.

[JAWS-Users] JAWS 8.0 and Web Page Forms

2007-04-27 Thread Bill Gallik

Does anybody know if the problem where JAWS 8 would get confused on Web
Pages with form fields -- this was on a Windows 2000 system and using IE
6 -- has been corrected?
