[JAWS-Users] Re: adware removers
Hi Marilyn: Me bad, I know, but my sighted husband takes care of the antispyware issues. I do know that AVG virus protection is pretty accessible. We don't use the full suite though. One way you can eliminate a lot of spam though is to set up filter rules to reject email addresses with inf or info in them. Good luck. It covers installing and setting up your first email account with the program. Obviously it can be found on the audio page. Where do i go to do a repair on JAWS? I couldn't find it in utilities nor in tools. I couldn't do it under add/remove programs either. My mind must have gone blank not to be able to find this. [JAWS-Users] Re: Doing a repair on JAWS
Hi Arianna, You didn't say which version of Jaws, but try this: Put your Jaws installation cd in for the version you want to repair. The setup program should start automatically, and inform you that Jaws is already installed, and then ask you what you want to do. This is where you will get the repair option. No, your mind didn't go blank, FS changed things a little. smile. Hey David, I have thunderbird on a flash card, and I went to another computer, but what thunderbird did is configured to their email. I couldn't get mine. What am I doing wrong? When I put it on my computer it did all the configuration for my computer. I thought I could use this program, so when I go to my daughter's I would be able to read my email without going on the internet, because that is hard to get around on. I walk you through all of the basic steps for configuring thunderbird portable, and remember at the end I do say it's a lot of program to manage or something like that any way. I can't say what you are doing wrong without knowing what it is you did in the first place. It certainly does h---! now, why didn't I think of that? I have version 8.0 and i wanted to update from the FS site. i was told to do a repair on JAWS since some file or files names had ben changed--i never changed a JAWS file. Anyway, i looked all over the place where i thought the repair would be and FS did it again, changed something. [JAWS-Users] Re: Doing a repair on JAWS
HI Gentlemen, I've been having some major issues lately with jaws, s I've been incommunicado. Like right now. Since yesterday, I can Microsoft outlook to behave right. I sued to be able to tab over from my inbox and read my emails without opening, now it just goes to my tree view with in box and the other folders. I tried running a jfw repair, and tells me that set up found and error. I'm seriously thinking of halling out the perkins broiler and giving up computers. Its so damned frustrating!
