Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Service Pack 3

2008-08-30 Thread tim
Is this a update from the Microsoft update page or one of those bogus
update files that don't have the latest updates. that removed all the
bugs with cpu chips and drivers?

At 10:00 PM 8/26/2008, you wrote:

yes, on both occasions. Does
anyone know why I might be getting this message?

Re: [JAWS-Users] question about installing windows servis pack 3

2008-08-30 Thread tim
As long as its from Microsoft and no third party site. Go for it. it
will take some time and will take even a long boot up time. That is
where most make it fail. Thinking it stopped when it didn't and they
reboot the system. now boot comes up but the update fails. So just
let it do its thing and walk away for a while. check it so often and
once done. you won't even know its in there.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws 10 and windows 2000

2008-08-30 Thread Margaret Thomas
Rick,

The What's New in the Public Beta for JAWS 10 page says Windows 2000
users need to continue using JAWS 9 so it sounds like, at least for now,
your friend can't install 10.

They currently have jaws 9 installed on the machine.

Yes, but messages are not read automaticly. For automatic reading of
messages use AIM 4.8.

Re: [JAWS-Users] skipe and chat

2008-08-30 Thread aiden gardiner
Holger,

If you have the scripts, and you've used windows live messanger, the hot
keys are the same, IE grov accent key to repeat the last message sent or
received, and alt + 1 through 0 to repeat previous messages, press these
keys twice to virtualise.

Hope this helps,

Aiden
