[JAWS-Users] how do you stop Jaws reporting margins in word
Hi list, I have a text book in a folder of its own. Within which is contained the individual chapters of the book. I am finding that Jaws is telling me how far the margin is set from the left and right side of the page. This is both when reading line by line, and also when using the say all command. This has only just started happening with this book. However, other word files read fine. Is there a way I can stop this? In iTunes 8.1 if you wanted to see your songs, you could tab until you got to the list and them use up or down arrow to read your list. jaws did nice job reading each song and if you wanted you could press space bar to play or stop. In iTunes 8.2, you can no longer do so. Now you need to tab to get to the list and you can no longer up or down arrow. If you are in the list, pressing space bar will play a song. If you want to go to the next, you need to tab to you get to the next button. Jaws will not read the song title. You will need to do shift tab to go back to the list or tab to be there. Re: [JAWS-Users] OUTOUTLOOK 203
I am not sure if there is a way to do what you are describing. With multiple attachments, go to save attachments in the file menu; When you hit enter you will be prompted to save all attachments. Then type in the drive and/or folder where you want to save the attachments; then I believe that if you tab to the right, you will get an ok. Hit enter, and all of the attachments will be saved in the drive or folder you have selected. Respectfully, Russell J. [JAWS-Users] Dual headset info
Hi All, Here is some information for anyone interested in a headset that can be used with both the computer / Jaws the phone at the same time. Take care. Mike This headset allows you to listen to both your computer and the telephone at the same time. Name, Dual Head Sets by Plantronics. Model or part number SMH1783-11. Price $350.00 to $400.00. Name of distributor, Phone supplements Phone, 1-800-742-1800 I've used Plantronics for years. The newer models unplug part way down the cord so you can switch out the end you need. I have an eighth inch plug on 1 side and a phone plug on the other. I believe the model line you are needing is the Supra. Don't let someone talk you into a stereo set, it won't work. Here is the contact info for a company called Headsets Direct. That's where I got my last set from. Keep in mind everyone doesn't understand what we need with a different cord for each ear. I know the best person you will talk to there is Ed, in tech support. Everyone is friendly, and I've never spoken with anyone that didn't speak English clearly... 1-888-244-0483 Toll Free . 928-777-9100 Telephone . www.HeadsetsDirect.com Bob Hello Jim, I agree with others on this list that Plantronics equipment is the way to go. For some reason buying from vendors is cheaper than buying from Plantronics direct. SKC Communication Products Inc. 800 882 7779 SMH1783-11 headset special, price around $240.00I think Also get the optional AC adapter 26503-01 If they ask who told you, Art from Pittsburgh. Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and wireless head-sets.
I have not seen a wireless headset of this type, but you might want to contact Plantronics. I believe that they were the first to come up with the combination wired type. When you talk to a Plantronics representative, they may not know much about specialty products. If they do not, ask to speak to someone about their combination wired headset, and maybe you will find someone who knows the facts about a wireless model. The other day I was looking for telephone headsets compatible with hearing aids, and came across a UK web site that carried a headset that had a standard ear piece on one side, and a hearing aid t-coil piece on the other side. Haven't found such a thing in the U.S. HTH Annette -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Larry Stansifer Sent: Friday, June 12, 2009 7:14 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and wireless head-sets.
