From the inbox, press control-shift-o to get to options. Then press
control-tab till you get to the sent messages tab. From there, press tab
then check the box that says
Automatically put people I reply to in my
addressbook.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Turning off mouse touchpad on laptop.

Hi,
my niece had an accident with her netbook and the screen doesn't
work, so I swapped her my laptop. I've got jaws 11, and it seems
to be working ok.
Just wondering how can i turn off the mouse touchpad? I've gone
in to the control pannel, and had a fiddle with a few things but
it doesn't seem to have done anything.
Any suggesttions?
Thanks. Richard.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Media Center | Recording TV Shows

It should be according to other posts I've read. Remember that you'll need a
tuner or tv capture card.

Hello,

Is Windows Media Center accessible with JAWS 11 and Windows 7 Pro?

I do not have Windows 7 Pro yet to try. I will be getting shortly is why I am
asking. Doing research to see if I need a TV tuner in
my new PC.

Also, do you use Windows Media Center to record TV shows at specific times and
durations?
If yes, is that component accessible?

Thank you,

Bill

[JAWS-Users] JAWS reading Outlook 2007 message list fields incorrectly

2010-05-10 Thread Don and Cher Bosch
My folder view is set to read the subject field before the from field. But
JAWS 11 is reading the from field an extra time- before reading the subject
and from fields. If I look at the table headers, the first from field is not
there. Where is JAWS getting this extra information and is there a fix?
Thanks.

[JAWS-Users] OE repeating

2010-05-10 Thread graham smith
all this moaning about 11 I must just add that eleven is back to repeating the
message information in the message list within OE twice.

Does anyone know how to stop it from doing this, I have justloaded nine and ten
and it is not doing it.

I must admit I think these are the things that should be sorted outbefore we do
things like research it. What we need is a good stable consistent jaws.

Generally jaws 11 is working well for me apart from this repeating and also on
web pages there are silent lines that are not there with earlier versions. In
other words I am arrowing up a web page in nine and ten and there are no gaps
or silent lines between links and information but in 11 I get these silent
spaces. Also I am starting to get that usual error message pop up , you know
the one that says jaws has to close dont send button! a lot more frequently in
the latest version of 11, it had almost gone in earlier versions of eleven and
ten.

Regards

Graham

Re: [JAWS-Users] Dictionary Manager

2010-05-10 Thread Brian Lee
Hello Nicole,

Probably the quickest way is to use the merge utility once you have
installed the upgrade. Move focus into the JAWS interface of the upgraded
version of JAWS and then use Alt with U to bring up the utility drop-down
menu. Use down arrow key to the Merge manager choice and press enter key.
You will get a list of JAWS versions that you can choose from and a browse
button that you can use if the version you want the dictionary files to be
imported from is not shown in the list. Use the OK button to start the
merge.

You can also copy all the JDF files in your JAWS shared folder and replace
the .JDF files in the shared folder of the upgrade. Go into the program
groups from the start menu and find the version of JAWS from which you want
the JDF files. Find the explore JAWS menu choice and use right arrow key
to expand the group. Use down arrow key to the shared settings choice and
press enter key. If you are using Vista or Windows 7 then you can use
CTRL+E at this point, type in JDF and press enter key. Use down arrow into
the list of results. You can then select all and copy the JDF files to the
clipboard. You can then open the JAWS version in the program group that you
want to paste the dictionary files into and go into its shared settings
folder. Paste the JDF files into this folder and allow overwriting. The
default JDF file and individual application JDF files should be included.

If you want to get a copy of the files before upgrading then after copying
the JDF files just create a folder to keep them in until you are ready to
paste them.

Again, I think it is probably faster for you to just use the merge utility.

Take care.
