2010-05-21 Thread Jeronimo Schöber

Hi,
apparently there is a program that installs to regular windows xp machines
called windows home server connector. This is used to make all settings.

So my question is : Are these programs accessible?
Best regards
Jeronimo

I was thinking about maybe getting one of these some day to add more storage
to my system. The problem with USB is that the drive powers down too fast,
it's in WD's firmware because I have all power management turned off here,
and it shuts down short enough that if you're doing a show online you get
the second of dead air at the crossfade point between two songs while the
drive powers up. I've gotten it sometimes, and sometimes things just lock up
if the file's not accessed in time. It's a given we'd need the remote access
license added to Jaws, but can this be installed to the server without
sighted help? They say it's like having a small 2003 server, which could be
useful to learn about anyways.

Eudora might have taken so long to be updated, but it is still a
maintained

product.
Anyway, I think we have to respect each other's preferences as long as
the
products are accessible by their screen reader, Jaws in this case.

Okay, I just switched to IGoogle, and the sound effects stopped, so
apparently, there has been some kind of change to the classic Google home

Re: [JAWS-Users] google homepage problem

2010-05-21 Thread Jean Menzies
Today is the 30th birthday of the PacMan game. They've done this today in
celebration. Every day highlights something significant, and most of the
time it is graphic. Today happens to be an audio treat because that was the
sound in the original game. I think it will be gone tomorrow.

Hello Ann,

Samething here, and I live in Belgium and used www.google.be/ie
After some frustrations thinking about wether I had the toolbar on my
computer or not, I decided to go for http://labs.google.com/accessible
It isn't such a clean page than the good old /ie, but it's still better than
the regular google and has less publicity on it.

Hth,

Go to Tools / Options / Content / uncheck Load Images Automatically. Then
