[JAWS-Users] viewing pictures

2010-05-24 Thread Kimsan
Hi,

How can I have a picture be fully displayed on a screen after opening it? I
would maximize the window but the picture only shows on a certain portion of
the screen. I am using the windows photo viewer to open the photos. Is this
even possible, to have the picture completely be display from top to bottom
and left to right on a screen?

Re: [JAWS-Users] migrating email from outlook express

2010-05-24 Thread Steve

That just shows you how much those computer shops know.

Procedure that my wife used to migrate to her Windows 7 computer is as
follows:

1. Get the Windows Live email client and install it on your Windows 7
machine.

2. Run the Win 7 File Transfer Wizard from the new Win-7 computer.

3. If you can network both machines, it is simpler. If not, you can do it
with CD-R's.

4. Tell your computer how you want to transfer your files and settings.
Then, it will instruct you to run a program on your old computer.

5. AFter you run the program on the old computer, you will be given a bunch
of checkboxes to select what things you want to transfer over. You can
transfer data from your old "My Documents" folder to the new computer; you
can transfer your favorites, address book, email messages, etc.

Without looking it up, Al, you can make an absolute cell

Good morning,

Hopefully someone more experienced with Excel than I can
answer this. I am building a worksheet in order to test out
several different scenarios. Instead of entering the data in
each sell I need for the formulas, I have put the
information I want to reference in a separate cell at the
top of the sheet. This way I can simply reference the cell
in my formulas and not have to reenter the specifics in each
formula while testing with different numbers. The problem
I'm experiencing is when inserting or deleting rows Excel
is updating my formulas which then ends up referencing the
incorrect cell. Most times in Excel the automatic updating
of cell information is a help but not in this case. how can
one enter a cell reference in a formula and have it stay
fixed?

thanks

Add a $ sign to the formula.
Basically the cell that you do not want to change needs a $
sign before
the column and row coordinates. Example if your data is in
a2, then
your formula would show A2 as $a$2.

Thanks,

2010-05-24 Thread Alan & Terrie Robbins
Good morning,

Hopefully someone more experienced with Excel than I can
answer this. I am building a worksheet in order to test out
several different scenarios. Instead of entering the data in
each sell I need for the formulas, I have put the
information I want to reference in a separate cell at the
top of the sheet. This way I can simply reference the cell
in my formulas and not have to reenter the specifics in each
formula while testing with different numbers. The problem
I'm experiencing is when inserting or deleting rows Excel
is updating my formulas which then ends up referencing the
incorrect cell. Most times in Excel the automatic updating
of cell information is a help but not in this case. how can
one enter a cell reference in a formula and have it stay
fixed?

thanks
Al

Re: [JAWS-Users] two windows media player questions

2010-05-24 Thread David

Hello there;

regarding the menu in windows media player,

try the following,

1, open windows media player,

2, press ctrl+m=classic menu,

now you should be able to navigate a little better within the menu.

now, when you press the alt-key, you will land in the menu,
and pressing escape, will take you out of the menu.

Try pressing ALT by itself. That works for me as an alternative to ESC.

hello everyone, I have two windows
media player questions.

1. In windows media player if one was to rip a audio CD, is
there a way to raise the volume of the tracks before or
after ripping them? By this I mean in itunes if you was to
select say a couple of tracks in your music Library, hit the
apps key go to "get info" shift tab once and go to the sheet
called "options" tab once and you hear jaws says "left right
slider" and this slider by default is at 50% and I changed
it to 100% for all my songs in my library because I'm
hearing impaired as well. And you can change it before or
after importing it into itunes. So basicly you can change it
as many times as you like.
Is there a similar setting like the one above in windows
media player?

2. I don't know if this is a jaws issue or windows media
player but basicly when you go to the menu bar e.g. file
edit view etc and try to hit escape jaws won't exit out of
the menu bar and you can't even tab out of it. Has anyone
notice this with Jaws lately? using latest build of jaws 11
and windows media player Version: 11.0.6002.18111

Look forward to hearing from you all soon.
Thanks
Daniel
