Hello there; Yes this is correct if your setting up a new account, however, it will not place recent: in front of the username, Which allows user to see emails from various listserves. [JAWS-Users] i e 9 jaws 12 and wlm
This is interesting. Some how the install of I e9 makes jaws not automatically read opened wlm messages. As soon as I installed I e9 when I open an email maybe the first one or two will automatically read. From then on when I open a message I must use any of the reading keys to start the reading of the mail. To prove that it is I e9 I just removed it and now jaws reads the wlm messages. Re: [JAWS-Users] Nirator running Win 7
Now the thing I find funny here is the tabbing part. I have brought narrator up plenty of times for different things I have to do here that jaws just ain't got the function to do. Like speak when it crashes my browser. Never did this in version 10 but from there up. Every time I do that windows key + u. It brings up the ease of access center. Now nothing about that speaks. You have to do the alt + n for speech. Now the question is why tell people to tab when they don't know where to tab to and only does by sighted help? Forget tabbing in there because your just going to start something you don't want and may not help at all. Just do the commands straight out and you will get speech! The only time it don't work is a problem with sound card. At 08:20 PM 3/22/2011, you wrote: After hitting win + u and letter n tab to start and hit enter. Re: [JAWS-Users] Firefox 4?
There are still some issues with accessibility also. and, of course, the lack of webvisum is a major show stopper. Firefox 3.6 will continue to receive security fixes for some time to come, I am sure, just as Firefox 3.5 did. For anyone wanting to try out Firefox 4, they can do so using the portable version wihtout jeopardizing their regular install of 3.6. hth Doris At 11:57 AM 3/23/2011, you wrote: Thanks for the warning. Re: [JAWS-Users] word 2002
If all else fails, alt+delete will announce the position in inches from the edge of the document, disregarding the margin. that doesn't really solve the problem, but it's a work-around. I purchased the full keyboard computer so I wouldn't have to deal with the laptop configuration. With this new computer though, I need to press the function key to use any of the Jaws f key functions. Is there a way to switch the default on the function keys so that the function key needs to be pressed for the opposite of what it is presently set up to? For example,, the f12 key is presently default to turn on and off the internet. In order to read the time I must press, the fn key, the f12 and the Jaws key. As you can imagine, while trying to do the links list Jaws key f7, on the internet this is a feat in dexterity! I want to make that the secondary function of the f 12 key and let the Jaws key f12 speak the time and date as it did on my old computer. Is this a possibility? How would one accomplish this task? [JAWS-Users] NVDA update
Even though this is the jaws users list I just updated the command guide for the latest version of NVDA thanks to Mr. Brunner for providing it. It does work as a good supplement from time to time.
