I got an old laptop from my daughter and was having trouble with some keys until I looked there and found that the language was set to English (UK) and the location was set to UK. Set the language to English (United States) and the location to United States. She can't sit at the computer for longperiods of time so, it's hard to get very much done at 1 sitting. I have all the folders unhidden through the View Page so, if Local Disk C, was there I should be able to see it. All the folders you would normally find under Local Disk C, are there but, as sub-folders in 2 other folders. I would unplug the ps2 and see if problem and do same with other. Now for the drive it may be under a different name or may be labeled system and those devices are not shown.
