2011-08-27 Thread Fanus
Hello Listers
I have a friend who can not afford MSOffice. Is there a free
word processor which works with jaws and wich is a bit more
function rich than HJPad or wordpad?

Re: [JAWS-Users] free word processor for jaws

2011-08-27 Thread Doris and Chris

Jarte from

http://www.jarte.com/?so=j

this will probably do most of what your friend needs and probably
more. i do have MS Office installed but use Jarte as my default word
processor because it is so much sleeker.

There sure is. It's called Jarte, and it is fully compatible with JAWS. It
has a built-in spell checker and the ability to create and save templates,
among other features. And its menus are straightforward and easy to
navigate. I prefer it over MS Word 2007. Check it out:

Cursoring down brings up
Lower ribbon new submenu,

Delete submenue, respond submenu, actions submenu, tools submenu, group

Hi.

Go to the View tab at the upper band, and press arrow down.
Tab once to the View button drop down selection, and press spacebar.
Arrow down to select column's, and press enter.

Now you are in a dialogue box where you can select which column's that has
been shown and in which order, in your e-mail program.

Remember to maximize the window also, so you get as much information as
possible.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Help With Display of Emails.

2011-08-27 Thread David
Hello Mandy;

I'm not sure if you have the virtual ribbon on or off,

However, I'll provide both steps,
First to verify if you have the ribbon on or off,
Do the following;

1, open windows live mail,

2, press insert+v=adjust jaws options,

3, now press the letter V, you will hear jaws announce, virtual ribbon on
or off.

If the virtual ribbon is on,

1, open WLM,

2, alt+v=view,
You will hear jaws say, view tab,
3, now press,
Down arrow you will hear;
Lower ribbon,
Group sub-menu,
4, down arrow again you will hear;
View sub menu,
Right arrow to open,
Now you enter on,
View button drop down,
Now arrow and enter on columns,

Here you can adjust the column order.

Perhaps you should let us no whether virtual ribbon is on or off.

I then could give you better instructions.

If you're talking Yahoo Mail, it is probably as accessible and bothersome as
a web-based email account is. You can pay extra for Yahoo Pop so you can
integrate it into your email program. But, before I paid them $20 a year,
I'd just move everything over to Gmail or some oother service.

its got a useable spell check thesaurus, and most of the features commonly

there are others on the site but I think jarte will best fit your criteria!
