Hi there;

Yes you can have both installed on your computer.
Here I have, outlook2010, windows live mail,
And windows mail.
I caution you though,
If your going to go the windows mail route, first make sure you have all the
updates,
Including, the windows7 service pack 1.
Some folks who made the registry change, for the windows mail program, could
not download and install the service pack 1.
And, there's no way to no, if this will happen in the future.

Just be for warned.

 Hi Jerry,
If you've in the contact folder, and want to select more than one
contact, then you can just use the standard method for selecting items
in a list which aren't necessarily next to each other:
 1. select the first contact.
 2. start holding down the control key.
 3. move to another contact you want using the keys: down arrow, up
 arrow, home and end.
 4. press spacebar to select the contact.
 5. repeat 3 and 4 as desired.
 6. stop holding down the ctrl key.

This method is only going to be useful is you have a fairly small
number of contacts, as moving around just using the arrow keys, plus
home and end can be a bit slow.
Alternatives are to use select recipients dialog, as someone has
already suggested, or to make use of autocomplete or check names. The
latter two are described in detail in the guide to windows mail which
I mentioned in a previous post.

 David.

 Hi Vicky,
To send an email to one or more of your contacts from the contacts
 folder, and using windows mail:
 1. In your Contacts folder, select one or more contacts.
 2. Open their context menu, then open the Action sub-menu (access key
A), and then press Enter to choose the first menu item which is Send
E-mail.
 3. A New Message window opens. The one or more contacts are already
entered in the To edit box, and the focus is at the end of this edit box.
More info about windows mail can be found in this guide to windows
 mail for jaws users:

2011-11-25 Thread inthane

to add to David's notes:
think of the new settings area as a treeview, not as a menu, you open and
close sections with right and left arrows, you go up and down the list with
up and down arrows and you cause the status of things to shift with the
space bar, sort of like checking and unchecking things but there can be more
than one option for each item.

they will cycle all the way through, so don't worry if you miss something,
just go around to it again.

When you arrow to,
Customize punctuation,

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Punctuation

Hi,

I just installed the latest version of Jaws13 and I am having a little
problems with the Jaws setting center.

I want to change some of the punctuation so that I don't have to hear all
the special characters such as colon, left brackets, right brackets and so
on.

The problem is that when I went into the Jaws setting center, and search
for

punctuation and press enter to go to the list, I ended up out of the Jaws
setting center and therefore I cannot make any changes.

I would greatly be appreciative if someone can tell me what I am doing
wrong? I don't think that Dr. Phil is available for Thanksgiving and I am
losing my appetite for that big bird! Many thanks in advance and I want to
wish everyone on the list especially the managing team a very blessed and
happy Thanksgiving! Don't eat too much turkey!

Lennie

Sound field is set to No Sound. Click the drop-down arrow and then select a
