Re: [JAWS-Users] Compro E750 Dual Digital T.V. Tuner
Hi and thanks, I have two KWorld tuners at the moment and am managing to use them with Microsoft Windows Media Centre. The dialog boxes on the setup wizard don't work but you can guess your way through as the buttons seem to speak o.k. The guide does work reasonably well as well when moving up and down and right clicking to record a programme etc. The only additional option with the Compro software apparently is the P4 power mode which allows the PC to be started automatically to record a programme and then shut down after. It seems that Microsoft Windows Media Centre doesn't work with the P4 power mode. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of vrvaug...@mailzone.com Sent: 04 January 2012 00:25 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Compro E750 Dual Digital T.V. Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft Outlook 2010
My personal opinion is to take the time now to get used to the ribbon and not use the JAWS virtual ribbon if you have a job where you are working with other people who are using JAWS from the sighted perspective. In some cases a co-worker can direct you in navigating the ribbon faster than you can find another JAWS user who is using the virtual ribbon and can answer your question. Of course choosing to use the JAWS virtual ribbon or not is a personal decision and is dependent on your situation and needs. hTH, Annette -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Hicks Steven (CORNWALL IT SERVICES) Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2012 7:10 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft Outlook 2010 Thanks, that's brilliant. Mike, So, I've probably never even thought about the JAWS saying Separator thing before. But since you mentioned it, it is now bothering me. Thanks a lot. I've confirmed that JAWS is picking up the HTML tag, HR, and substituting the word separator. I can't find where it is making the substitution though. Jim, Many software packages now use information from components in your computer to assist in preventing piracy. So, even if you have an authorization number, you can't just install on multiple computers. I believe the JAWS locking code is tied to a bunch of serial numbers of components of your computer. Re: [JAWS-Users] go to meeting
Hi Larry, I have had limited success with GoToMeeting. As part of my job, I have to attend a variety of meetings and webinars run through the GoToMeeting site. When I register, a link for the event is emailed which allows me to log in and hear the event through my computer speakers. However, after accessing the audio, I am not able to use any of the other features such as submitting a question, indicating support for a discussion topic, etc. Because the webinars are convened by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, I raised the problem of the lack of accessability for full participation in the webinar. Instead of putting pressure on GoToMeeting to figure out how to make the site accessible, HUD gave me an email address that is monitored during the events where I can submit questions. I'm using Jaws 13, Windows 7 and IE 8.
