No scripts currently exist. Apparently scripts may be available within six
months. There is an accessible financial management package called Cash
Manager that one can purchase and use well

Hello,

I am using JAWS 13 and QuickBooks Premier - Accountants Edition 2011. Some
of the features in QuickBooks aren't fully accessible with JAWS.

For example, it doesn't identify some of the edit boxes. When you are doing
a bank reconciliation, it doesn't tell you if your two balances (book
balance and bank balance) are equal or not. When you preview a report, it
just says "blank."

What JAWS script will make QuickBooks more accessible with JAWS? Please let
me know as soon as you can. I will greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws not talking after hibernation

2012-02-18 Thread Lennie

Hi,

Well, it happened again. I tried to do an end task in the processes
tab for JFW.exe, but that didn't make any difference and I still
could not bring Jaws back without doing a restart.

I need any other ideas what to do otherwise I will have to Join Mike
the next time he goes to see Dr. Phil! (Move out of the way, Mike)

Please help! Thanks. Take care.

jfw.exe. That's Jaws that is running in the background. tab a

is the confirmation to shut down a program. once you hit end task

try turning jaws on again. Sometimes this works for me if Jaws
gets stuck in the background.

Hi,

I think that I have a problem that does not occur all the time. I
am using Jaws12, window XP.

I usually shut off my desktop computer by putting it in
hibernation. I have been doing this for as long as I have XP operating system.

However, lately when I come out of hibernation, Jaws does not
respond. This does not happen all the time, but when it does, it
is disconcerting.

I start NV DA to try to figure out what is going on, but no luck.
I had my wife look at the monitor and nothing stands out.

I tried to kill Jaws with jawsKey+WindowKey+F4 (is that the
correct shortcut to kill Jaws) and I use my shortcut key to start
Jaws, but nothing happens.

So using NV DA, I restart my computer and as it is starting to
shutdown, Jaws suddenly wakes up! By then it is too late and I
have to wait for Jaws to come back when the computer is restarted.

Is there anything that I can do to get around this problem after I
come out of hibernation? Any suggestions or ideas will greatly be
appreciated. I don't want to have to do a complete shutdown each
time I get off my computer and keep doing restarts.

Thanks in advance and take care.

Lennie

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS Settings

2012-02-18 Thread Dujari, Prateek
Yes. First don't let the son use the parent's computer again given some
irresponsibility on the son's part, lack of clear boundaries and communication
between the two regarding the computer use.

Next, a system restore should be first tried.
If for some reason that doesn't work, I suggest uninstalling JFW along with al
shared components and reinstalling jaws.

Hello Listers

I'm trying to help a friend. Does anyone have any ideas? Her email pasted
below.

Hi All,
Hoping someone can assist me with a little problem I have been having.

My son used my computer and since then check boxes and buttons don't show up
when I am on internet pages and forms.

In addition since then there have also been great blank parts on site pages
that once were not there.

I'm running Windows 7 and Jaws 11 and possiblyIE 8, but I'm not sure.

does anyone have any idea of what has happened or changes in the settings he
might have made?

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

2012-02-18 Thread vrvaughan
Sometimes my Jaws 13 just stops talking. I get it back up and running
quickly by doing an INSERT F4 and an ENTER. Then If you have the hot key,
just do CONTROL ALT J , or if not, do Windows R and then type "jawsX", where
X is your version number.

Hope that helps! Vicky
