Re: [JAWS-Users] OUTLOOK 2010 AND MISSING E-MAIL
Hello there; Did you knowingly make any change to your view menu? Try the following; While in outlook inbox, Press alt+v=view, 2, tab until you hear; Arrangement toolbar, Arrange by drop down grid, Press the spacebar, 3, you should hear jaws announce, Date checked, Now shift+tab a couple of times, if you hear, Groups checked, Press the enter key. Again, Alt+v=view, Now tab until you hear; Navigation pane, Press enter, In here, normal should be checked. Let's start with this. Hopefully, it's just something in the view menu, which has gotten changed. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of brad Sent: Friday, June 01, 2012 9:53 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] OUTLOOK 2010 AND MISSING E-MAIL The Strangest thng. [JAWS-Users] Computer restriction!
Just recently I have been unable to click on links in e-mail and be directed to the site, I am careful about this, however, recently Outlook 2010 has given me a restriction message saying to contact my network administrator which is me to change the behavior. Re: [JAWS-Users] turning off auto numbering in word 2010?
I know everyone says to turn auto-numbering off but, personally especially when doing doctors who want everything numbered, I love the feature, most doctors get all nixed up count 1, 4, 2, etc and having auto numbering on means I don't have to try to figure it all out. Plus, sometimes I like it on for doing multi-level reports much better than trying to remember where one is or having to go up several lines to figure out what the last number or letter should be. Re: [JAWS-Users] turning off auto numbering in word 2010?
Hello Sue, The steps to follow for turning off auto numbering and auto bulleted lists in Word 2010 are shown below. If you choose to turn off the auto numbering and auto bulleting, you can always select a list you make and then apply bullets or numbering by using the context menu activated by using the application key or shift+F10. Also, remember that when using auto numbering or auto bulleting that you can always force a line not to start with a number or a bullet by using a shift+enter key command instead of an enter key. If you want to turn auto numbering off in Word 2010 for all new documents based on the normal template you can do the following: 1. While in an open Word document, press Alt+F followed by Alt+T to go into the Word options. 2. Use down arrow twice to the Proofing tab. 3. Use tab key one time to the AutoCorrect options button and press spacebar. 4. Use CTRL+tab until you get to the AutoFormat as you type tab. 5. Use tab key until you find a checkbox labeled Automatic bulleted lists. If you don't want your lists to continue being bulleted when you use a bullet in a document then use spacebar to uncheck the item. 6. Tab one more time to the checkbox labeled Automatic Numbered lists and use spacebar to remove the checkmark if you don't want to have auto numbering used. 7. Use tab key to the OK button and press spacebar. 8. Use tab key to the OK button again and press spacebar. Take care. [JAWS-Users] properties in O 2010, still no luck
Hi David, Thanks for trying. I think I'll concede. If I just enter on a message and hit alt+h I get the message tab. Re: [JAWS-Users] windows mail
Hi Becky, Try the following; From: Trish here's how it's done for WM.. Creating a new contact group The command to create a new Contact Group is available on the toolbar, but not on any of the menus. So to create a new Contact group: 1.Tab to the Organize button, which is the first control on the Toolbar. 2.Press Right Arrow until you get to the New Contact Group button, and then press it. 3.A Contact Group Properties dialog opens. This is a two page dialog, and it opens on the Contact Group page, which is described in detail in the Editing Contact Groups section below. However, the following steps describe how to name the group and add existing contacts. 4.Type a name for the group into the Group Name edit box. 5.To add existing Contacts to the group, Tab to the Add to Contact Group button, and press it. 6.An Add Members to Contract Group dialog opens, which has a similar layout to the standard Vista Open dialog. By default the view of the Folder view is Tiles, so the first time you use this dialog it's worth setting the view to List. To do this, press Shift + Tab twice to move to the Folder view, but do not select any files. Open the context menu, then open the View sub-menu, and choose List. 7.In the Folder view, select one or more Contacts or Contact Groups, and then press Enter to press the default Add button. 8.You're returned to the Contact Group Properties dialog, where the focus is the Add to Contact Group button. Because the focus is a button, you can't just press Enter to press the default OK button. Instead, either Tab all the way to the OK button and press it, or just Tab to a control which isn't a button or a link, and then press Enter. Sending messages using your contact groups In a similar manner to using contacts, you can send messages using your contact groups either in a New message window, or from your Contacts folder. In a new message window, you can type in the names of contact groups, just as you would the names of contacts. When the message is sent, the name of the group is replaced by all the addresses of the contacts. Alternatively, in your Contacts folder: 1.Select a Contact group. (In fact you can select more than one contact group, and contacts as well.) 2.Open the context menu, then open the Action sub-menu (access key A), and then press Enter to choose the first menu item which is Send E-mail. 3.A New Message window opens. All the contacts in the contacts group are already entered in the To edit box, and the focus is at the end of the Edit box. Editing Contact Groups To edit a Contact Group in your Contacts folder, select it and press Enter. A Properties dialog for the Contact Group opens, and you can then change and add information in this dialog. The Contact group properties dialog is used both for creating and editing contact groups. The dialog has two pages: Contact Group and Contact Group details. The latter contains controls for optional data that you might want to give about the group. The controls on the Contact Group page are: .A Group Name edit box. .An Add to Contact Group button for adding existing contacts or groups to this group. This was described above in the Creating a new contact group section. .A Create New Contact button for creating a new contact and adding it to the group. .A List of group members list view. .A Remove Selected Contacts button. However to remove one or more contacts, it's easier just to select them in the List of group members, and then press Delete. .Contact Name and E-Mail edit boxes, and a Create for group only button, for adding a contact to the group but not to your Contacts. Hope this helped. Take care. Mike - Original Message - From: Becky Buckner To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, June 02, 2012 2:30 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] windows mail Hi all. Thanks very much, Mike, Trish and all for this help.
