[JAWS-Users] print on back of photos

2013-04-06 Thread Lenny McHugh
I just printed quite a few photos of my wood working projects to send to my
uncle. I would like to print a description on the back of each for him.
Wondering if I placed them as if they were envelopes but printed as if it is
regular paper would work. I did not see a paper size of 4x6 inches. Or is there
index card setting that I can use. Using ms office student/home 2010.

[JAWS-Users] figured out the photo printing

2013-04-06 Thread Lenny McHugh
I surely was making the preverbal mountin of the printing on the back of the
photos. I just placed the photo picture side up andlengthwise on top of the
stock paper. It is not centered but the information is there.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Direct Download Links For J14.0.1823 Update

2013-04-06 Thread Rose Combs
I restarted the computer for another reason, pressed yes to the update and a
few minutes it was all there. I usually check for updates about once a week
just on general principal, did not know at the time that this was out there,
however, it was Friday and I would have checked later, just happened that I
had a program behaving like it normally does if the computer has been on for
a few days so, I did a reboot and was surprised by the update.

Interestingly enough, when I tried to update from within JAWS, I got an
error message saying the patch could not be installed, and it suggested that
I do a JAWS repair, but when I downloaded an installed the executable from
the web, it installed just fine.

[JAWS-Users] Private Internet Access Jaws accessibility

2013-04-06 Thread Cristobal
Hello list,

So I was looking at some VPN solutions and came across one called Private
Internet Access. Lifehacker and PC World give it some good reviews. Pricing
seems reasonable too. Anyway, like always, the question is if Jaws will work
with it and anything I may have to install on my end. Has anyone in fact
used this service and can they speak to any accessibility issues they may
have encountered or is it workable with Jaws? That or can someone recommend
an alternative VPN service? Paid is fine too as long as it works. I am aware
of Tor, but haven't tried it out either.

I'm running the latest JFW and this would be on Windows 7 and 8 machines.

Any observations would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Outlook 2007

I have been having ongoing problems getting Jaws even the update issued
today to read HTML formatted emails in Outlook 2007. When I first open
Outlook 2007 Jaws reads the emails properly and the quick navigation keys
such as h for headings and t for tables work fine. However after Outlook
has been open for a while (it varies from 2-5 minutes) Jaws will not read
the emails properly in html format and the quick navigation keys don't work.
For example when I hit the h key instead of going to a heading the letter h
will appear in the body of the email. Also the pc cursor reports pc cursor
rather than virtual pc cursor when I press that key.

I have checked my version of Outlook 2007 and it is up to date with all
patches and have run the diagnostic in Outlook 2007 and everything reports
as fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Jaws 14 several times without
any impact on this problem.

I have had several tech support sessions with John Carson at Freedom
Scientific and they cannot duplicate the problem on Freedom Scientific's
computers. He has asked me to check with other Jaws users to see if they
have experienced these problems and if so what is the configurations of
their computers. If you have had this problem can you tell me how you
solved it or if it is still ongoing can you email me the configurations of
the computer having the problem and I will forward it to John at FS. tech
support.

I am using a Toshiba Satellite laptop model using windows 7 64 bit. Below
is the information on my system:

I've seen http://witopia.net recommended on another list.
I assume it's accessible since it was recommended on a VI related list by a

But I have not tried it myself though.

2013-04-06 Thread inthaneelf
hmmm, a question,

in windows 7 many menus and lists of files were showing up as a virtual
table, with rows and columns, and you had to navigate them with all four
arrow keys to see all that was there, the control panel is one of these and
so are other selection lists in it. I'm wondering if your list of
attachments is doing the same, so the names your not seeing are in column
two or three?

open it again and check to see by arrowing to the right once you get into
the list

HTH,

Hi Jim,
Try going to the e-mail but don't open it. Just arrow to it on your Inbox
folder.
Then Press Alt. Down arrow to save attachments sub menu. Right arrow to open
the
sub menu, then down arrow to save all attachments.
I always had a tough time figuring out how to just open without saving, so
this
always worked for me. Good luck.
