[JAWS-Users] jaws friendly pc diagnostic software

2014-07-11 Thread Marvin Hunkin
Hi.

What's the best diagnostic software that works with jaws.

Could not use the Toshiba pc health monitor.

Too old for my model psag4a 0-2300 m.

Any suggestions.

Thanks.

I do not believe the last software update is the problem my friend. It
is more likely something else is the issue.

Interestingly enough on my XP lap top that my niece gave me last year
which is my music server so to speak I just got a notice of updates
 available.

Possibly she caught a but for the lack of a better term, this is only
a guess at this point unfortunately.

[JAWS-Users] Reinstalling Office 2010

2014-07-11 Thread Scott Duck
Hi Everyone,

I am using Windows 8 and latest version of JAWS 15. I have Office 2010.
Lately, Outlook is worse than usual about crashing and I'm occasionally
getting an error message from Word which requires me to reboot the computer
(more about that later). I have thought about reinstalling Office. My
concern is that I have no activations left. That being the case, can I
successfully reinstall it? Will it see that it was previously already
activated on this computer and not require reactivation?

Thanks,

[JAWS-Users] ATT: impossible website with jaws

2014-07-11 Thread Karen Schrade
I am really frustrated with the ATT website. My email is downloaded to
Outlook just fine. The spam folder at ATT, however, is another story.

I spent about a half hour trying to have 30 messages from the jaws users
list marked as not spam. I finally gave up and had my husband mouse it.
The only time I was hacked it was through the contacts at ATT so I really
don't want to have anything in that contact list.

There are checkboxes to mark specific emails. Every time I either spacebar
or enter on the checkbox for a specific email, I get checked, not checked!
It used to allow for control+a to mark all but, apparently, that's gone.
The jaws cursor doesn't help as if I turn that on, I get nothing in the way
of speech.

Has anyone who has an email address through ATT like my SBCGlobal, figured
out how to manage that website? I can't find a feedback or contact the
webmaster and neither can my husband using the mouse.
I can't send you a link as you wouldn't have a username and password. ARGH!
Thanks if anyone has ideas. Karen

Hi Mario, I’ll need to send you the microsoft fixit install uninstall
troubleshooter, so if you’d send me your email, I’ll atatch it to you via
email, and I’ll help you uninstall it, and reinstall it. It sounds like to
me, that the registry keys got corrupted during the install or the
uninstall.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Uninstalling office 2010!

2014-07-11 Thread Flor Lynch

David,
it comes through Microsoft.com etc. I used it myself to uninstall office
Starter edition so as to install the 2010 Student edition after i
(accidentally) uninstalled the ClickToRun.exe file. it is very much a
troubleshooter, so you wouldn't use it unless all other avenues had been
tried. (There are several Microsoft Fixit tools, available for problems
with uninstalling different programs.)

Scott,
I had a similar problem with Outlook 2013 kept crashing.
Pinky is on the right track with MS Accessibility.
They un-install and re-install the program and got it running great.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Reinstalling Office 2010

Hi Everyone,

I am using Windows 8 and latest version of JAWS 15. I have Office 2010.
Lately, Outlook is worse than usual about crashing and I'm occasionally
getting an error message from Word which requires me to reboot the computer
(more about that later). I have thought about reinstalling Office. My
concern is that I have no activations left. That being the case, can I
successfully reinstall it? Will it see that it was previously already
activated on this computer and not require reactivation?

Thanks,

Scott Duck
