[JAWS-Users] download Youtube videos using Torch
I am posting this message to address one of the common problem faced by the screen reader users. That is regarding the download of YouTube videos. Most of us use some online services to download & to extract audio from the video. However you can solve this problem by using a web browser called torch.Torch is a web browser whose features and functions are similar that of Google Chrome.Follow these steps to download videos using Torch 1.Go to “www.youtube.com” 2. Select a video to play and hit enter on it.When the video began to play, pause it, to avoid interference. 3.Press F6 ones, you will be landed in the address bar. 4.Now tab three times, and Jaws will speak “Download” with the title of the video you selected. In my case, I selected a video titled “Super Brain- Watch the Amazingly awesome memorizing power of a 5 year old kid”.Jaws spoke something like the following “Download: Super Brain: Watch the Amazingly memorizing power of a 5 year old kid - YouTube Button to activate press space bar.” 5.Hit Space bar or Enter on the download button with the title of the video you selected Now the browser will automatically start downloading the video Thank you --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Well, we all know that there is a freeloader mentality among the blind. This is largely because the blind are often not charged for things that others have to pay for, such as bus fare, and it goes on from there. I work hard and earn a decent salary, but there are things I can't afford. But yet I see blind folks who do not work, and they have all of these things, and whenever something new comes out, they have it. Don't know what their secret is. Re: [JAWS-Users] greater signs
that only tells jaws not to say them, the signs will still be there. I do it this way, probably not idea, but it works.. I copy the email paste it in word, then I press.. control H, this is the replace command, when it says..replace what...do the > sign, then tab to replace with what, I press spacebar which is telling it to replace with nothing, then I tab to have it check and replace all the greater signs. word tells you how many it found and removed. then, I paste the clean email back in new email. Re: [JAWS-Users] Emptying IE History without loosing Cookies
I should have mention here that, I do the "control H" and delete sites this way, just hoping there was another way, or a site or something where I can view all the cookies on my computer, then delete the ones I do not need? I have also, checked and unchecked the "cookie" checkbox before deleting IE history, it seems to not matter either way, the bank's cookie is still removed cause of the history deletion. - Original Message - From: Trish To: Jaws Users List Sent: Friday, May 29, 2015 9:17 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Emptying IE History without loosing Cookies I just spoke to my credit union bank about the fact that when I delete the IE history, it also removes cookies that my bank requires I have in order to id my computer. When on the rare occasion I have deleted the history, and then tried to log back into my bank, I get a pop up from the bank that basically is trying to id my computer since the cookie has been removed. I have done all the necessary steps to register my computer for the bank, and this works just fine as long as I do not remove the IE history. So my question is, how can I delete IE history and still keep at least my banks cookie? Is there any way this can be done? I am using.. IE 10, OS/7, and J/16 Thanks for any help! David, if it makes you feel any better, I hope someday to actually find the time to browse that thing. The little time I spent there revealed some stuff that seemed really cool--that archiving app near the top of the list for example. It should take less than an hour for the scan to run, and at the end, the scanner will report the system's status to you. > It will say that: 1. There were no corruptions found, 2. That there were corruptions found and fixed, or 3. There were Corruptions found, but they could not be repaired. If the latter one appears, you would need to run a repair on your Windows, using either a repair or the installation disk, and you will > probably need some sighted assistance, as you have to boot into safe mode to accomplish this. SFC /Scannow will detect and fix most corrupted windows files, but depending on just how corupted your operating system is, it can also report at the end of the scan that there were corupted files detected that could not be repaired, and that you should try using a recovery method or just reinstall Windows. Most people do not see this message however. I did not see that, and did not pay too much attention.
