[JAWS-Users] download Youtube videos using Torch

2015-05-29 Thread Sachin

I am posting this message to address one of the common problem faced by
the screen reader users. That is regarding the download of YouTube
videos. Most of us use some online services to download & to extract
audio from the video. However you can solve this problem by using a web
browser called torch.Torch is a web browser whose features and functions
are similar that of Google Chrome.Follow these steps to download videos
using Torch

1.Go to “www.youtube.com”

2. Select a video to play and hit enter on it.When the video began to
play, pause it, to avoid interference.

3.Press F6 ones, you will be landed in the address bar.

4.Now tab three times, and Jaws will speak “Download” with the title of
the video you selected.

In my case, I selected a video titled “Super Brain- Watch the Amazingly
awesome memorizing power of a 5 year old kid”.Jaws spoke something like
the following

“Download: Super Brain: Watch the Amazingly memorizing power of a 5 year
old kid - YouTube Button to activate press space bar.”

5.Hit Space bar or Enter on the download button with the title of the
video you selected

Now the browser will automatically start downloading the video

Thank you

my document or email to the photo tray. I just started a fairly long print

I can select plane paper main tray and letter. then ok and apply or apply
then ok it does not matter. It will print where I want. The next time it

It must be doable, sure I have done it in the past but there is somewhere

Thanks, just downloaded and tried that one, looks doable and will allow me
to remove all partitions etc, relies a lot on the JAWS cursor and there
doesn't seem to be an easy way to be sure which drive you have selected but
I will play around with it a bit more when I have a chance hopefully.
Just can't get my head around the Windows 7 disk management, I have a drive
assigned as drive 1 and there is no allocated partition, I have tried
everything and I can't work out how to do it.

Well worth it in my opinion for what it does.

Does anyone know of a free utility that works well with JAWS, just for

Thank you for the help. I have found these checkboxes, maybe I didn't realize I
needed to uncheck cookies in order to not delete them.

  Hi Patricia.
If you do not want to delete the cookies, here is what you do.
First, press the key command ctrl + shift + delete. This will bring
up a dialog for deleting your browsing history. Start tabbing through
dialog, and you will find many check boxes for different browsing
history content. Tab to where it says cookies, and make sure that is
unchecked! With that unchecked, everything else except for the
cookies will be deleted which is want you want. Just tab to delete
and press enter. That's it. All history will be deleted except for
  your cookies! Take care.

David, if it makes you feel any better, I hope someday to actually find the
time to browse that thing. The little time I spent there revealed some
stuff that seemed really cool--that archiving app near the top of the list
for example. Maybe when I finally get a new e-mail account at my home. . . .

  Hi

You could use the cCleaner program to delete your internet history. In the
tools tab, there is an option for cookies. When selected, this option will
show you all of the cookies that are on your machine, and you can select the
  ones you don't want deleted.

I just spoke to my credit union bank about the fact that when I delete the
IE history, it also removes cookies that my bank requires I have in order to
  id my computer.

When on the rare occasion I have deleted the history, and then tried to log
back into my bank, I get a pop up from the bank that basically is trying to
id my computer since the cookie has been removed. I have done all the
necessary steps to register my computer for the bank, and this works just
fine as long as I do not remove the IE history.

So my question is, how can I delete IE history and still keep at least my
banks cookie? Is there any way this can be done?

I've never used 11, but those have traditionally been separate

Hi

You could use the cCleaner program to delete your internet history. In
the tools tab, there is an option for cookies. When selected, this
option will show you all of the cookies that are on your machine, and
you can select the ones you don't want deleted.

I just spoke to my credit union bank about the fact that when I delete
the IE history, it also removes cookies that my bank requires I have in
order to id my computer.

When on the rare occasion I have deleted the history, and then tried to
log back into my bank, I get a pop up from the bank that basically is
trying to id my computer since the cookie has been removed. I have done
all the necessary steps to register my computer for the bank, and this
works just fine as long as I do not remove the IE history.

So my question is, how can I delete IE history and still keep at least
my banks cookie? Is there any way this can be done?

I am using..

IE 10, OS/7, and J/16

Hi Neil,
This was posted last week,

Removing windows error program:
You will want to open the Run dialogue box by pressing the Windows
> logo key + the letter R. then type in:
 sfc /scannow
 without the quotes of course,
and the system file checker will start scanning your Windows files for
missing and corrupted files. It should take less than an hour for the scan
to run, and at the end, the scanner will report the system's status to you.

> It will say that:

 1. There were no corruptions found,
 2. That there were corruptions found and fixed, or 3. There were
Corruptions found, but they could not be repaired.
If the latter one appears, you would need to run a repair on your Windows,
using either a repair or the installation disk, and you will
> probably need some sighted assistance, as you have to boot into safe
 mode to accomplish this.

SFC /Scannow will detect and fix most corrupted windows files, but depending
on just how corupted your operating system is, it can also report at the end
of the scan that there were corupted files detected that could not be
repaired, and that you should try using a recovery method or just
reinstall Windows. Most people do not see this message however.

I did not see that, and did not pay too much attention.

I called the Microsoft Disability Help Line. Immediately, got connected

software by Sandy or by Santy.
Anyway, it removed 65 threats and computer is now clean. He discovered the

runner web mail site.
Don't know much about all this. I do have AVG 2015 and computer does an

Have joined this list only about three weeks, but have already received
help in more ways than one.
 Thanks all.

First, you can control whether or not to create them when you reply or
forward a message.

But if you receive them, the only thing I found that works is to use the

space. Then they won't read when using WLM.

Don't do this for the default dictionary, or you'll never hear the > sign in

if you ran into any trouble while doing the scan.

Thanks. I noticed that in the run dialogue there is a space between sfc and
/scannow. Is that space supposed to be there?

Hi Neil,
This was posted last week,

Jorge

 Thanks, Carolyn and all:
I called the Microsoft Disability Help Line. Immediately, got connected
with a very nice guy. He took over my computer and downloaded a malware
software by Sandy or by Santy.
Anyway, it removed 65 threats and computer is now clean. He discovered the
e-mails were not sent from my computer but they were sent from the road
runner web mail site.
Don't know much about all this. I do have AVG 2015 and computer does an
automatic defrag once per week.
Have joined this list only about three weeks, but have already received
help in more ways than one.
 Thanks all.

I've never used 11, but those have traditionally been separate functions; you
could delete history without touching cookies. I sometimes have to do it here

I just spoke to my credit union bank about the fact that when I delete the IE

When on the rare occasion I have deleted the history, and then tried to log

steps to register my computer for the bank, and this works just fine as long as
I do not remove the IE history.

So my question is, how can I delete IE history and still keep at least my

  I am using..

Well, we all know that there is a freeloader mentality among the blind.
This is largely because the blind are often not charged for things that
others have to pay for, such as bus fare, and it goes on from there. I
work hard and earn a decent salary, but there are things I can't afford.
But yet I see blind folks who do not work, and they have all of these
things, and whenever something new comes out, they have it. Don't know

So, what, if you have to pay to download a application, if you are

People waste so much money on junk during the year that if they buy a
program for their computer they cry the blues.

Same as, the members who keep asking about free antivirus question, Man,

to pay for the 64 bit version which was around $29.99 if memory serves.

Well worth it in my opinion for what it does.

Hi friends,

I am having real problems using disk management in Windows 7 with JAWS to
actually erase partitions and re-create them.
Does anyone know of a free utility that works well with JAWS, just for removing
partions and formatting them etc?

Many thanks in anticipation,

David, if it makes you feel any better, I hope someday to actually find the
time to browse that thing. The little time I spent there revealed some stuff
that seemed really cool--that archiving app near the top of the list for
example. Maybe when I finally get a new e-mail account at my home. . . .

Neal, did you run the scan and if so I would appreciate the results. Also,
if you ran into any trouble while doing the scan.

Thanks. I noticed that in the run dialogue there is a space between sfc
and /scannow. Is that space supposed to be there?

Hi Neil,
This was posted last week,

Removing windows error program:
You will want to open the Run dialogue box by pressing the Windows
> logo key + the letter R. then type in:
 sfc /scannow
 without the quotes of course,
and the system file checker will start scanning your Windows files for
missing and corrupted files. It should take less than an hour for the scan
to run, and at the end, the scanner will report the system's status to
you.

> It will say that:

 1. There were no corruptions found,
 2. That there were corruptions found and fixed, or 3. There were
Corruptions found, but they could not be repaired.
If the latter one appears, you would need to run a repair on your
Windows, using either a repair or the installation disk, and you will
> probably need some sighted assistance, as you have to boot into safe
 mode to accomplish this.

SFC /Scannow will detect and fix most corrupted windows files, but
depending on just how corupted your operating system is, it can also report
at the end of the scan that there were corupted files detected that could
not be repaired, and that you should try using a recovery method or just
reinstall Windows. Most people do not see this message however.

I did not see that, and did not pay too much attention.

 Thanks all.

Sounds like a virus or some other type of threat. Me, I'd be calling my
computer guy here.
