I am not following your issue. It is reading correctly for me. Re: [JAWS-Users] AMD/Intel
The chip you use should not affect Jaws one way or the other. If you are looking for the absolutely fastest chip money can buy, then Intel is what you want. If you are on a budget, AMD will give you the most bang for your buck. As an example, the Intel i7 4790k costs $300 or more, the AMD fx8370 costs $164, give or take. Re: [JAWS-Users] Pointing downloads to correct folder
Hi Neil, By putting a shortcut to the Downloads folder on the desktop, you only put a shortcut to the default downloads folder, you did not put a Downloads folder on the desktop. So, when you press enter on that Downloads folder desktop shortcut it will take you to the default Downloads folder. Here is the file path for the default Download folder: "C:\Users\YourName\Downloads" If you want your downloads to go to a downloads folder on the desktop, you need to create a Downloads folder on the desktop then, assign the downloads to go there from IE. Below are the steps: From: "Mike O'Brien" Hi While in Internet Explorer, press control+j to open view downloads. Then tab until you hear options and press enter. Then tab to the browse button and press enter. Hear you can type the path to the folder you want, or Shift + Tab, a couple of times to the Tree View, and browse through the folder list or tree view. When you've entered or found the folder you want, press enter. Mike O'Brien Take care. [JAWS-Users] FSOCR Executible File
Folks, I just found out today that the FSOCR executable file that you need for the "OCR" portion of JAWS is a different file for each version of JAWS. Only the "size" of the file changes. The name stays the same. So please ensure when you down load JAWS you also download the FSOCR file that goes with your JAWS version. For some reason Freedom Scientific is not changing the name or version number so the only way to tell is by the size of the executable file. And, no I do not know if the latest file of the same name is backward compatible with previous versions. Maybe in the future they will address this. Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem with iTunes
I had this problem after updating my iPhone to iOS9. What version of iTunes are you running on your computer? If your issue is the same as mine, you may need to update iTunes. Even though my laptop said I was running the latest version of iTunes, that wasn't true. I had to go to the following link and download iTunes 12.3. Once I did that and installed iTunes, the problem went away. https://support.apple.com/downloads/itunes I hope this helps. Kimber On 12/10/15, Helga Schreiber wrote: > Hi all! This is Helga! Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem with iTunes
you might have to do a restore . I had to do that once on my iPhone 6. I did it through iTunes not via the cloud, just a matter of preference. I recently had a similar issue, my apps on my phone were not showing on another computer not connected to Jaws or windows. but I had to use the window’s system to backup all the apps to a flash drive, then I had to move those apps and it’s folder into iTunes folder into where it says put media here or something along those lines. it worked cause the apps are now showing on both systems. I’m not suggesting you have to do that here, but if tunes is not recognizing your phone, you may have to restore it. On Dec 10, 2015, at 7:42 PM, Helga Schreiber wrote: Hi all! This is Helga!
