Re: [JAWS-Users] Withdraw request, found instructions on Using Netflix with JAWS
Hi tim; being cheeky is there any chance you would mind posting or mailing me any Net Flix stuff you have? I love my movies and have about 400 audio described DVDs and Blue Rays but have never tried a service such as Net flix. Someone told me that if you start playing a movie via Net flix and then pause it you can access the menus and turn on audio description if it is available on that particular film...If that is so then it sounds like something that would really suit me. Thank you and best wishes Andy - Original Message - From: "Tim Ford" To: Sent: Saturday, May 16, 2015 12:51 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Withdraw request, found instructions on Using Netflix with JAWS I just found a good set of instructions that had previously been posted to this list, so "never mind"! I was able to pick my profile, although JAWS did not say it was a link, just a graphic, but a left mouse click command on the keyboard did open my profile. I then see all the shows and movies she pre-selected for me, including a brand new Netflix series that prompted my asking to be set up. Below each show title is a link to "Y Player", and when I select that, I get a screen where only the Netflix title appears, no links or anything. Does someone have a basic guide for using JAWS with Netflix, or is Netflix even accessible? [JAWS-Users] Windows mail menus
Hello; I have a problem with my Windows Mail and could do with any help to put it right. I appear to have lost some menus...in particular the Tools menu. When I press the alt key it goes to file and if I press the right arrow it goes to edit and view but then it says leaving menus, if I arrow left when resting at the file menu it says leaving menus. I have also tried pressing alt T but that doesn't work either, I have looked through the view menu and can't find anything to fix the problem. Re: [JAWS-Users] Check writing software.
You can write a macro in Word to enable you to fill in cheques and then use the envelope slot in a standard printer to actually print them. My Son set it up for me and it announces the title of each field as you tab through them. Obviously you will need to have someone fairly computer literate and sighted to set this up but once its done its really very easy to use. Andy GOODTIMES ROADSHOW Chairman of... Tell the person that you want your name printed on the check (of course after you write a check to someone you still have to sign it), your account number, and checks in the mail will put the bank name on your checks once you specify how many checks you want and what number it should start from. The checks are laser checks. I think you'll like the TCB you can type in who it's going to, the date, amount, memo, notes, it even gives an extra field if you want to add more notes, then you can print by hitting either enter or the spacebar, then you can push the spacebar to check the check once it has cleared your account. [JAWS-Users] Transfering files from Outlook
Hello; can anyone tell me how to transfer files from the folders within Outlook Express such as in-box, sent items and other folders that I have created into Windows Mail on my new laptop? My old machine is running Jaws 5 something...XP Home and Outlook Express and my new machine is running Jaws 10 something...Vista and Windows Mail. I have some important files that I need to transfer to my new machine before I can decommission the old one. I guess it doesn't really matter if the files are transferred into folders in Windows Mail or just into folders within My Documents as long as they make it to the new machine because some of them contain some important info. I have a spare external hard rive which comes up as drive f in My Computer so I can use that as a vehicle for actually transferring the files. Thing is when I select all the files in a folder the copy option becomes unavailable and in the move to folder options there are only options to move the files to other folders within Outlook Express. I'm sure I am missing something pretty obvious here so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Andy GOODTIMES ROADSHOW... You can also use Amazon to download single tracks costing 99¢ each. These web sites are accessible with Jaws 9 and I would think that it would work with your version of Jaws. The best part is that you don't need to purchase any software and the downloads are in MP3 format. Re: [JAWS-Users] Using JAWS for Downloading & Ripping
Thanks...Sorry I knew it was J something, I saw Terry Clasper demo it earlier this year. The thing I really wanted to know is do people actually use it and how do they get on with it or, is there any other way of buying and downloading music tracks without the need for buying any more additional software? Sorry if this all appears a bit basic, like I said originally I am not a particularly ambitious computer user. My ideal situation would be to subscribe to some site and put a nominal amount of money in my account and then as I download tracks my account balance would decrease...I mean I don't even know if this is the way it works. I'm sure it must be the same World wide, but certainly in England it is now more or less impossible to go to a shop such as Virgin or HMV and buy chart singles.
