[JAWS-Users] information about jaws working with Xp machines
Hi all I called freedom Scientific this mourning and they told me that the later versions that may come out in the future may not work on xp machines but if you are running jaws 15 for instance and it is working with xp machine then it will continue to work with xp machines and even if 16 jaws comes out and it works with your xp machine it will not stop working. So in other words any jaws screen reader that are before the new release work with xp machines it will continue to work so this was good news for me hopes it put others minds at rest if you can not afford a windows 7 right now or higher. [JAWS-Users] just a tip if link does not work in email
Hi all I found out a long time ago that sometimes when it say you can hit the space bar to uncheck something it does not all ways work and I just so happen to think about that and went back to options and controled tabbed to read and once there just tabbed to plain text and it said uncheck but once I hit alt r then it said unchecked again and I saved it and now all links work. Most of the times things are really unchecked but every now and again it is a false reading so just wanted to pass this on to others if you have the same problem with outlook and clicking on links. HI all I asked this question before a while back but was wondering if any of you jaws users have ever broadcasted on the radio through winamp? If so how did you archive your program that you broadcasted so you could sent it out to your listners that may ask for a earlier recording of your show. [JAWS-Users] just some advice
Hi all I have the new jaws 15 and it works fine and I am using still windows x p but I all ways leave the prior version on my computer so that way if something happens to your newer version you can go back to your prior version and all ways put short keys in for your jaws just in case it does not come on like it should when your computer comes on and for by chance your start auto box is not checked you can all ways get it to come it on as long as you go to your desk top and hit your short keys and it will come on as well as download n v d a so it will give you a way to use speech just in case something happens to Jaws. Just something to think about because without any speech I am in trouble like a lot of us I am totally blind so making the letters will not help me at all lol so hope this tips will help someone that just decides to just get rid of the old for the new and if you do not know how to put short cut keys just make sure what you are wanting to put a short cut key on is h ighlighted and just hit alt key plus enter and tab and type in what you want your short key to be for that program and just tab to ok or apply which one comes up can not remember which one comes up. I all ways use control plus alt and up arrow for latest virsion of jaws and control key plus up arrow for latest version of jaws and it works great on remembering it easy for me memory is not what it use to be so I try to keep simple lol hopes this helps. Hi all I was wondering if anyone knows how I can retrieve my program that I stream on the internet through winamp so I can send it out to my friends that may miss my program and want a copy of my last program I am using jaws 14 if this information is needed. I thought it may be a box or something I needed to check in winamp so it will start archiveing while I am doing my show just never streamed on the radio before and would love to be able to go back and get my programs for my own keeping as well any help concerning this would be truly appreciated.
