Re: [JAWS-Users] Word 2013 Recently Opened Documents

2017-05-31 Thread Sinisa Boljanovic
I really don't know whether it's possible.
But: go to the list of documents and select some document you want to
delete. Then press application key to see what option you have. Maybe there
is something like "delete the selected document".

Best,

I use Windows 7 and MS office 2007, but this could be an idea for you:

alt + F to open File, then scrol to the "Word options".
Afterwards scrol to the "advanced", and using "tab" key to find "show this
number of recent document".
In the "edit" field type 0.
Then scrol to the OK button.

that's all.

Hi Anna,

If you ever accidentally delete something, & want to retrieve it from the
Recycle Bin, you can get it this way as well:
open the Recycle Bin, & highlight the item you wish to Restore
2. With the item highlighted, open the context menu with the Applications
key or Shift + F10, arrow up / down to, Restore, & press enter. The item /
folder / file will now go back to wherever it was deleted from.
Take care.

Yes. To be clear, I infer you got the message to the effect, "Access

You need administrator rights." Something like that. Like you, I just press
spacebar on the OK button and, lo, I have administrator rights. It seems
like one of those extra steps with which Microsoft torments its users.

Good evening Jaws users group. I have been working today, on the next lesson
for the W-10 and Jaws group called, The Control and ALT keys, your best
friend. I learned a new keystroke myself today. If you are like me, there
may be times where you have six or more windows opened at the same time on
your computer. If you press, Ctrl + Alt + Tab, and then use the right and
left Arrow keys to see all the open windows on your computer, press Enter on
the window you want to have focus, you will land in that window. This is
fantastic, of course, you can ALT+Tab to the window you want as well. I like
learning new keystrokes for different situations. I am not sure if this will
work on prior versions of Windows, let me know. Happy learning! Smiles. Jim

Hello,

In my case, I could make it happen by hitting the left shift+control key
shortcut.
It would change my keyboard type and, as I indicated in my note below, the
right control key would remain down. So, for example, if I hit the Tab key
with the right Alt key, I would get Alt+Control+Tab.

I've experienced the JAWS problem in the past and I actually did try your
solution of rapidly tapping the control key. It didn't help.
The problem went completely away after making adjustments in Regional and
Language settings.
I know we like to jump on it's a JAWS problem. But, in my case, it was not.

Actually this is likely an age-old JAWS problem that's been around since
version 3, 4, or 5. Occasionally a key gets stuck electronically (not
mechanically) and it adds to other key combinations and results in either
nothing happening or unexpected results. The age-old solution is to rapidly tap
each pair of keys several times each -- the pair of control keys, the pair of
alt keys, the pair of shift keys, and the pair of windows keys.
Usually this resolves the problem

It's never been fixed, so it will happen in JAWS 16 and any version of Windows.

The solution was to go into the control panel - Regional and language

While in there, I also turned off the Language bar.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] outlook 2010 question

Hello
When I opened up outlook 2010, I use to be able to press the letter of first
name and my curser would go there. For example If I had a e mail from jack
all I would do is press J and and my curser would go to the J's etc...
Can someone help me do that again?
Instead of having to scroll all the way down to an e mail I was looking for?

Sorry.
I checked it out in my Outlook and it works.

P.S. I made a mistake in my previous message. I should write arrange by
from, not by name.

Hi.

Yes, it could be told so... concretely I was sending a large file and
wanted to know how percentages left that message to be sent.
I guess that shortcut is the same for checking of how percentages are
remained during
receiving and sending e-mail.

Hi!

Press Alt+ space bar and then button maximize on the list.
It's a Windows's, not Jaws's command.

Best,

scrambeled up and I think it might be because jaws is not maximized.
