It seems my problem is not related with Jaws since CTRL keys don't work at all. I will probably have to update keyboard driver.

It would change my keyboard type and, as I indicated in my note below, the right control key would remain down. Actually this is likely an age-old JAWS problem that's been around since version 3, 4, or 5. Occasionally a key gets "stuck" electronically (not mechanically) and it adds to other key combinations and results in either nothing happening or unexpected results. The age-old solution is to rapidly tap each pair of keys several times each -- the pair of control keys, the pair of alt keys, the pair of shift keys, and the pair of windows keys. Usually this resolves the problem It's never been fixed, so it will happen in JAWS 16 and any version of Windows.
