Re: [JAWS-Users] .doc files
Hi Mike. How exactly do I assign wordpad to read .doc files? When I try to open a .doc file with wordpad, I just get a garbled mess. Thanks. - Original Message - From: Mike Barbara mb69ma...@charter.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Monday, March 05, 2012 1:11 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] .doc files Howdy Freijac, You can assign WordPad to read .DOC files if you have already done this, try selecting all the text from the Word / WordPad file paste into a NotePad / text file, saving it, naming it appropriately. This will work for you, until you can get a conversion program. Hope this helps. Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] avast
Hi. I checked my avast interface, and the updates are up to date as of this morning. Sorry, I should have mentionned that in my original message. Recently john wrote: Hi list. I suddenly stopped getting voice messages with avast such as virus definitions are updated. I went to the avast settings sounds tab and all the boxes are checked and enabled, and the avast voices are present in the sound effects in control panel, and work when I click the test button. I am using avast 5.0.677. vista, and jfw 10. Has anyone any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
