Re: [JAWS-Users] Doubt regarding remote access with JAWS15:

2014-01-06 Thread Dan Rossi
To use JAWS with Citrix, you need to have JAWS installed on the Citrix
server as well as the client machine. You also need your JAWS version to
be licenced for remote access.

Although I manage the Remedy back-end database, I have never bothered to
try accessing the front-end, so don't have any useful advice there. But
until you get JAWS on the Citrix server, and get the Remote license from
Freedom Scientific, you are going to go nowhere.

The connection to the Server using Citrix still needs JAWS to be installed
on the Server. Unless the connection to the server is made you will not know
if Remedy can be used. I have been connecting to work using Citrix for over
3 years. The first and most important step is the Citrix connection must be
made to the server having JAWS installed. My IT Department worked with SS to
resolve any issues.

Srinivas,

It is my understanding that there is a way to have JAWS work when using a
Cytrix based system. Unfortunately, I do not know the details, but I would
guess that others on this list do know. As far as Remedy goes, I believe
that there have been improvements made in its accessibility. I think they
are using version 7.something at work.

Good Luck.

it was pretty much unusable with Jaws. The symptoms you describe indicate
to me that perhaps little has changed.

Hi team,
This is srinivas from Bangalore India. I am new to the list and this is

I need your suggestions/guidence to overcome from the challenge with JAWS.

Friends, I recently Joined IBM India. There my profile is to assign the
insidents/tickets to the resolver groups from the tool called Rimidy.
For that, I need to open the another tool called Cytrix. from there I have
to open Rimidy. Apart from that, there is no another way.
My challenge is, Jaws is userly friendly till I open Cytrix. If I click
Rimidy from there, Jaws is not saying anything. Not even time, title etc.
But it will say log on frame. After I enter user name and password, it will
say starting rimidy. Thats it. after that, If I navigate with arrow keys or
tab key it will not say anything.

If I restart the Jaws and press insert f1 twice, it will say help topic is
not available.
I am not aware how to overcome from this challenge.

Friends, I need your suggestions/guidence in this regard as earliest as I
need to submit the report to my manager regarding the accessibility.

So friends, Kindly help me in this regard as soon as possible.

Call me if you have any clarifications.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Doubt regarding remote access with JAWS15:

2013-12-26 Thread Hicks Steven (CORNWALL IT SERVICES)
Hi,

As far as I can tell from how you are describing things to me, you are running
the Remady system on a Citrix server.
This would mean that if JAWS is to work in this application, you would need
JAWS installed on the Citrix server that the application is running on.
I use JAWS all the time with RDP to my laptop but a Citrix application needs a
little more work and I have never managed to make the time and work with our
Server Team to test this.
I am sure that Freedomscientific will also be able to help you with this.
You will need the Remote Access part of JAWS adding to your serial number as
well, I am assuming that you already have this as it sounds as if you are able
to use RDP.

I hope that this helps in some way.
