Sorry, I haven't followed this thread all the way through, so apologies if
this has been suggested. Sometimes when I don't have luck with a form,
paying a bill, etc. in when using IE, I switch to Firefox or visa versa.
Often times at least one of them will produce intended results. For me,
that's usually Firefox.

I tried to fill out an online form a few days ago, and after going through
the edit fields for name, address, etc., I used my up and down arrow keys
and I never heard JAWS say anything about a send link or a button for
submit. I also tried your suggestion for hitting the letter B and it
still did not work. Maybe one day, all things will be accessible. By
that time, we will all probably be dandelion food lol. Thanks for the
information nonetheless.

You know when you look at each page. You can easily see if the Submit
item,
or whatever it is named, is a button by pressing b when forms mode is
off.

When filling out a form online, there will be either a link or a button

click to submit the information in question. What I want to know is,
after filling out the last line of information and you tab out of the

how will I know if the submit option is a button or not? I hope this

Try 'find' instead of looking for a particular form. On my bank web site,
submit is a link. So I just do find for the word 'submit' and locate it
that way.

Under JAWS settings
make sure that for both images options set to include image links, set for all

Under Graphics and symbols, set to all graphics.

To go to JAWS settings
insert+6 (number row)
use the arrow keys to go between the categories,
and the space bar to cycle between the categories options.

how will I know if the submit option is a button or not? I hope this
 question makes sense.

 Thanks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Forms, links and buttons

2012-02-15 Thread Shari
Sorry, I haven't followed this thread all the way through, so apologies if
this has been suggested. Sometimes when I don't have luck with a form,
paying a bill, etc. in when using IE, I switch to Firefox or visa versa.
Often times at least one of them will produce intended results. For me,
that's usually Firefox.

I tried to fill out an online form a few days ago, and after going through
the edit fields for name, address, etc., I used my up and down arrow keys
and I never heard JAWS say anything about a send link or a button for
submit. I also tried your suggestion for hitting the letter B and it still
did not work. Maybe one day, all things will be accessible. By that time,
we will all probably be dandelion food lol. Thanks for the information
nonetheless.

You know when you look at each page. You can easily see if the Submit
item,
or whatever it is named, is a button by pressing b when forms mode is
off.

To All Listers:

When filling out a form online, there will be either a link or a button
to

click to submit the information in question. What I want to know is,
after filling out the last line of information and you tab out of the
form,

how will I know if the submit option is a button or not? I hope this
question makes sense.

Thanks.

2012-02-15 Thread Ann Byrne
Try 'find' instead of looking for a particular form. On my bank web
site, submit is a link. So I just do find for the word 'submit' and
locate it that way.

I tend to sign a lot of on line petitions and usually, jaaws tells me
whether or not I need to use a button or a link when I submit my signature
at the end of the form.
