Well, I hope you get so much good out of this tutorial , and you can get a
lot out of using the mail app, people, and calendar apps. You can do a lot
with three apps. I would pin all three of them to the taskbar, and have them
all opened at the same time

Take care,

Step two:

Shif+Tab four times!

You will hear the person’s name, and the word from.

Right there, press enter, that is step three!

Step Four:

Tab twice to hear full contact and press enter.

The people app will open at this point.

Step Five:

Tab twice to save and press enter.

The contact along with their email, will then be saved in the people app.

So, you can email that person from the people app.

Open the people app, and type the name in the search edit.

Press enter on the person’s name, and tab to email. Press enter there, and
the Mail app will open, with their email address in the To: edit box.

You can open the people app from the mail app. So, to work with contacts,
you have to use the Mail and People apps together.

Hi David,
I think I have the correct tutorial. It was sent out to either the windows
10 list or the NVDA list fairly recently. One thing I really miss are hot
keys. All this tabbing is going to give me carpal tunnel syndrome. Smile. If
there are hot keys for things like sending a message et Cetera, how can I
access a list of same? Also, when in the message list, pressing enter on the
message with focus doesn’t always seem to result in being able to do a say
all with Jaws key Plus down arrow. It’s probably operator error, but it is
frustrating.

Hi all,

I have just joined this list with a new copy of JAWS 2018 installed on
a Windows 10 64-bit pc. It has been years since I used JAWS, so I'm the
next thing to a newby. I'm interested in the use of the Windows 10 mail
client with JAWS. Because of issues with the Edge browser, and the fact
that this mail app is apparently based on that engine, I am thinking
that it might not be all that great with JAWS until the underlying Edge
issues are fully solved. Is that true? I'd like to be wrong, as I
really don't think I need a mail app as complex as Outlook, which I
don't own in any case. Advice, please?

Mary

Respected Marry, the matter of fact is that using windows 10 mail app is very
easy and handy.
It will not give you tough time as outlook 2016.
Another very important thing is that David wrote a very good tutorial using
windows 10 mail app.
You can use this app no matter what brouser you are using as your default
brouser.
This program will work with the composition of people and calendar apps.
In my opinion, you will not find any issue if you use it with JAWS 2018.
