Have him try this. Open Avast with inset f11 and arrow down to update and enter. arrow down once to programs and follow the prompt. Think all you need to do, is be on program and hit enter. Try checking your windows mixer settings and make sure the wave volume is turned up to 100% and that nothing's muted. i can't really think of anything else it could be? anyone have any other suggestions? You should just be able to apply for a free licence again. if your husband has been happy enough with avast, just install version 5 if you haven't already from avast.com and register for a free licence again. its accessible with jaws and useable enough.
