Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and chrome
Hi Mary! It is called, just read! Just press the Alt to open the virticle menu, go to more sub menu, and go to extensions. You can go to the store on that page, and just type in Just Read, and that extension will come right up. Just have that install to Chrome, go back to the extensions page, and make sure that is activated in your list of extensions that you have on Chrome! It does indeed work great with CTRL+Shift+L! I hope that helps. Please ask again, if that doesn’t work! Hello, It does work fairly well. The only thing I don't like about Chrome is its menu structure. It is not the most intuitive. As well when you are in the Menus it will not tell you if there is a sub-menu. You have to just hit the right arrow to see if there is one. Well Chrome has been around for several years now, I don't remember when it launched, but I would think that FS should now be making some programming that would make it as easy as IE or Firefox, not that I favor Firefox all that much. Still, I think it has been over five years, the program seems to be here to stay. Just my opinion. Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws and chrome browser
The answer to that is, sort-of. Firefodx (its nearest accessible equivalent) generally is better than Chrome. But, in certain situations, using Chrome can solve forms problems - where items are not seeb accessibly by FF or IE. If you like speed, on one level you'll get it with Chrome. -Original Message- From: John Melia Sent: Tuesday, July 14, 2015 6:19 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws and chrome browser I guess the subject line says it all does jaws work with google chrome browser? Tom, when you get to the combo box, press the space bar to activate it, then press control+down arrow to open it. use the arrow keys to make a selection, and press control+up arrow to close it, and escape to deactivate it. if the selections don't speak while the combo box is active, try insert+5 on the numpad, or insert+8 on the numpad, or insert+up arrow, or insert+tab. I don't know what else can be done to have it spoken. hth On 4/18/2015 8:22 AM, Tom wrote: didn't work, but thanks. looks like we're the only early birds that like chrome -Original Message- From: Carolyn Arnold Sent: Saturday, April 18, 2015 6:51 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws and chrome combo boxs Tom, have you tried hitting Shift Enter?
