Re: [JAWS-Users] Lenovo Thinkpad x260 and JAWS
I have the X220 running Windows 7 Pro and it works great with Jaws 15. I purchased it used about a year ago. I stayed away from the newer models (X240 and X260) because the keyboards on those models are the totally flat style keys instead of the traditional keys on the X220. It is all up to your preference in keyboard style. Re: [JAWS-Users] Lenovo ThinkPad x260 and JAWS
There's a Lenovo Thinkpad (a diffent model however) on my desk at work. It has a docking station to which an external keyboard, monitor, mouse and braille display are all connected. I can remove it from its docking station and carry it, if necessary. It runs Windows and JAWS as well as any other good laptop would do. The only slight issue is that the key which should be the application key is actually print-screen - not a problem when using an external keyboard, but I need to remember when using the laptop's own keyboard. The keys themselves are very comfortable for typing. Shift+F10 or, in some cases, Ctrl+F10, can be used instead of the application key. I have 2 Lenovos, although not that model but they are a fine lap top computer. The first came with XP pro that I updated to 7 and then recently to 10. The second came with 7 pro and I updated it to 10 pro. JAWS does not have any issues with them at all.
