Re: [JAWS-Users] Question about using thumb drive version of Jaws

2010-09-13 Thread Mobeen Iqbal
Hi. Ok. Lets assume you have 3 files/folders on the root of your pen.
you have a directory called jaws90, jaws10 etc, a file called jaws90.bat
jaws 10.bat etc and an autorun.inf file. Your autorun.inf file should
look like the one you pasted to me in your last email. All your batch
file needs is the fololowing, obviously change jaws90 to jaws10 to
reflect your folder name in both files.

@echo off
start jaws90\jfw.exe

Does that makes sense?

Do I need both a .bat file as well as a .inf file in order for it to
work?

Hi, yep just replace 90 with 10 or 11 and it'll work. The batch file
will need to be on the root of your pen with an autorun.inf file,
download the latest jaws pen drive release to see what i mean, that
way you can see the way they've layed it out. the pen drive will not
auto start due to a limitation of windows, you would have to press
enter to launch jaws when you've given windows a good few seconds to
detect it. this is a windows limitation.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Question about using thumb drive version of Jaws

2010-09-13 Thread Josh
I think so basically you are saying that all I need is the following
information for a batch file that I will save as a .bat in a notepad
document.

@echo off
start jaws90\jfw.exe

Of course changing the jaws number to reflect the one in which I want. This
is just recap from the message in which you posted . I need to have on the
root of the flash drive the following files. The Jaws thumb drive version I
am wanting to run from the thumb drive, a .bat file containing the
information which you pasted, and the autorun.inf file which I will get from
Freedom Scientific. If any of this information is incorrect please correct
me. Thank you for your help.

2010-09-13 Thread Mobeen Iqbal
Hi, yes that's all correct. If you download the USB version directly
from freedom scientific's downloads page, the file they provide when
extracted will give you the structure you need as well, batch file,
autorun.inf file, etc. What you've outlined below is all correct and
using this procedure you shouldn't have any problems. If you need any
further help, please let me know!
