Re: [JAWS-Users] Winamp and windows 7
Hi Flor, Has he tried going in to the winamp preferences with control P and seeing if there is a file associations option in there? he could reinstall winamp, and make sure the audio file types option is selected? Has he tried the rightclick file and open with option where you can choose the program you want? Also, he could try going in to properties for the file, and clicking on the change button where it lists the program that the file opens with? If all else fails, there's a system in xp and i think in windows 7 called set program access and defaults where you can force windows to use a specific program to open a file, i'll look in to how to change this on windows7, let me know what does and doesn't work? I'd be happy to help off list if you prefer as well, its entirely up to you. Mo. Flor Lynch wrote: Hi Mo, I've had this question come up on another list. Re: [JAWS-Users] Winamp and windows 7
Welcome to the world of Windows 7. I think it is the best version of Windows Microsoft ever released! It finally got most things right. I also like some of the media sharing and streaming network capabilities now implemented at the OS level. Don Marang There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working on things that matter. Have you tried this? Highlight an mp3 file in Windows Explorer. Press Alt enter. Shift tab to the, change button and press enter. Arrow around until you find Winamp and then tab to OK. That should change to Winamp to the default player for all mp3 files. -- From: Flor Lynch florl...@iol.ie Sent: Monday, August 09, 2010 7:02 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Winamp and windows 7 Hi Mo, I've had this question come up on another list.
