alone you cannot perform many management functions that need to be
done.

2014-03-03 Thread Liuda
I have the exact same problem there and have not yet been able to resolve it
either. Ever since Yahoo improved??? its websites, functions and
operations, it has been a royal nightmare for moderators who use JAWS.
In the past to delete a message in the Archives, I had only to check it
and go to the delete button and it was a done deal. I still haven't figured
out how to delete a single message without taking a whole bunch of them out
in the process.
I don't think Yahoo ever thought about us even though they are well aware of
screen user users which seems so strange.
If anybody moderates a yahoogroup and has figured out any solutions to
ways of using the new interface, please share your discoveries with the rest
of us?
In advance, thank you very much.

2014-03-03 Thread Judy
Hi, all, well I just had a friend who is a computer guy and has me on remote
access, go with me to that page and I opened that management link. Turns out
he says there is a big add there on the screen which is hiding his being
able to read the menu for the management link. It is blocking being able to
see the menu and you can't get rid of the ad. What idiot did that? Not even
a sighted personcould do anything with that link. So I guess that is the
reason, and I won't say in public what I think of Yahoo. Thanks to those who
sent suggestions. I don't know if a later version of jaws would make any
difference in this case. Judy Tallie

If you're talking Yahoo Mail, it is probably as accessible and bothersome as
a web-based email account is. You can pay extra for Yahoo Pop so you can
integrate it into your email program. But, before I paid them $20 a year,
I'd just move everything over to Gmail or some oother service.

[JAWS-Users] yahoo messenger jaws reading commands

2009-05-08 Thread ChB

Hi listers,
my buddy can only have chats using this chat otion straight from her yahoo
classic mail account. So I downloaded yahoo messenger and also made sure I
installed version 7.0 which is supposed to work with my jaws 7.10. so far so
good.
When I now hear the pling sound that someone wrote and focus on the window
it does not auto speak the last message. I did figure out that I can press
f2 to get the very last message read. But is there a way that I can also
keep reading older previous messages in that window?
I know that in windows live all I have to do is hit alt+ 1, 2, and so on to
get to the older messages but is there a command like this for yahoo as
well? Also is there a tutorial for all the key commads available that will
work with yahoo?
Again my jaws that I am using is 7.10, with windows xp. Yahoo version is
7.0.
Thanks in advance

chrissy

f2 to get the very last message read. But is there a way that I can also
keep reading older previous messages in that window?
I know that in windows live all I have to do is hit alt+ 1, 2, and so on
to

get to the older messages but is there a command like this for yahoo as
well? Also is there a tutorial for all the key commads available that will
work with yahoo?
Again my jaws that I am using is 7.10, with windows xp. Yahoo version is
7.0.
Thanks in advance
Regards
chrissy

Re: [JAWS-Users] yahoo messenger jaws reading commands

2009-05-08 Thread ChB
Hi chris,
awesome, will save this and try first thing in the morning, when my buddy is
back on.
Funny thing is this is simliar to windows live, which is what I tried first
to apply to yahoo messenger. Somehow it would not work, for example to get
into the message window to see her last message I used F2 instead.
I guess I have to sit down and learn this thing some more. Right now my jaws
has a life of its own anyways. He just started reading me, automatically,
the time every minute now. Nice thing but not needed. Lol

Subject: [JAWS-Users] yahoo messenger jaws reading commands

 Hi listers,
my buddy can only have chats using this chat otion straight from her yahoo
classic mail account. So I downloaded yahoo messenger and also made sure I
installed version 7.0 which is supposed to work with my jaws 7.10. so far
 so
 good.
When I now hear the pling sound that someone wrote and focus on the window
it does not auto speak the last message. I did figure out that I can press
f2 to get the very last message read. But is there a way that I can also
keep reading older previous messages in that window?
I know that in windows live all I have to do is hit alt+ 1, 2, and so on
 to
get to the older messages but is there a command like this for yahoo as
well? Also is there a tutorial for all the key commads available that will
 work with yahoo?
Again my jaws that I am using is 7.10, with windows xp. Yahoo version is

 Thanks in advance
