[JAWS-Users] applications key, and iTunes transfers

2011-03-24 Thread Jorge Paez
Hi guys:
I have a quick question.

I've decided to run NVDA (I'll be getting JFW 11 soon) with Win 7 on my Mac via
bootcamp until I can get my new PC laptop that I need for work.
My questions are these:

1. from the Mac side of things, when running Win via Bootcamp, what is the
command = the application's key? E.G., where can I go for the short cut and
all those menus under the applications key?

2. For my personal account on my PC, I know I can download iTunes, but once
downloaded, how do I copy all my songs from my Mac side to my iTunes?

Is there any way to do this online or would I have to coppy the library file?

Thanks,

Jorge

Hi Debbie.

You can either use alt f10, or as far as i can remember, if you go from
the top right hand corner, the applications key is the last one to the
left, on that very top row. does that make sense?

I hope that helps,

If you press the function key with the f-keys on the top row of the
computer, things will happen. Function key with f8, for example,
puts a Dell laptop into projection mode for use with a screen for
presentations. The other keys work with the function key too, but I
don't remember what they do. If you have your Dell lap top manual,
you can probably find the information there.

If you press the function key with the f-keys on the top
row of the computer, things will happen. Function key
with f8, for example, puts a Dell laptop into projection
mode for use with a screen for presentations. The other
keys work with the function key too, but I don't remember
what they do. If you have your Dell lap top manual, you
can probably find the information there.

the applications key is the last one to the left, on

A good tool to use in this sitituation is the JAWS key help mode. Press
CapsLock + 1 in the numbers row to turn on thhis help mode. Then you can
explore all of your keys to discover what they do. Some modifier keys will
announce nothing unless you press a key combination. If you have an
applications key it will announce it as such just by pressing that key.
When done discoveringnew keys, press CapsLock + 1 again to turn key help
off.
