Hello Flora,

How can the balloon time be increased, so that there are 5 to 15 seconds
that balloon is available to react to, especially when I am 100% Blind I am
on a Del Tower with XP & Office 2003.

Thanks for any Help.

In Windows 7 it's under "Ease of Access". Type Ease of Access in to the
search box in the start prompt. In the Ease of Access Center go to,
"Make it

easier to focus on tasks", and hit enter. Near the end of the options that
come up is a combo box with different time settings to adjust the time that
those balloons stay on screen.

Here is a tip on how to set the time for how long balloon messages will stay
up so you can have time to access them.

In Windows 7 it's under "Ease of Access". Type Ease of Access in to the
search box in the start prompt. In the Ease of Access Center go to, "Make it
easier to focus on tasks", and hit enter. Near the end of the options that
come up is a combo box with different time settings to adjust the time that
those balloons stay on screen.

You might try alt plus N and then tab through the dialogue box to see and
give any necessary response.

Hi list,

I'm rather dense this morning. What is the key stroke to click on those
balloon messages that pop up automatically.

Thanks.

Hi Vicky & Kathy,

This is where I was a bit confused myself but, what you do is when you
hear

whatever sound you have assigned for System Notification, indicating the
Balloon
message, you left mouse click right there! When this balloon message pops
up, this balloon message has the focus of the screen. So, you don't have
to,
Alt + Tab, to find it, it's right there, just press the left mouse click
button! Or, from what I understand anyways, you can sometimes go to the
system
tray & find it, like Windows Updates, for example. Hope this helps you as
much as it did me! LOL

Take care.
Mike
