[JAWS-Users] free word processor for jaws

2011-08-27 Thread Fanus
Hello Listers
I have a friend who can not afford MSOffice. Is there a free
word processor which works with jaws and wich is a bit more
function rich than HJPad or wordpad?
Regards
Fanus

Jarte from

http://www.jarte.com/?so=j

this will probably do most of what your friend needs and probably
more. i do have MS Office installed but use Jarte as my default word
processor because it is so much sleeker.

There sure is. It's called Jarte, and it is fully compatible with JAWS. It
has a built-in spell checker and the ability to create and save templates,
among other features. And its menus are straightforward and easy to
navigate. I prefer it over MS Word 2007. Check it out:

I also have started to use jarte. I have the free version and it
is a whole lot easier than words.

2011-08-27 Thread inthane

jarte which can be obtained off my grab bag site(address/link under my name)

its got a useable spell check thesaurus, and most of the features commonly
used in word, but its sized more like WordPad and is designed specifically
to work with screen readers

there are others on the site but I think jarte will best fit your criteria!
