Re: [JAWS-Users] locked screen;

yeah, actually it's quite annoying,
I even tried,

1, "C:\Windows\SystemApps"

2, "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.LockApp_cw5n1h2txyewy"
this is the lock screen app,
I renamed the folder,
by placing .bak at the end of this, doing this is supposed to disable the
app, so far? no cigar.

so, back to the drawing board.

David,

Interesting you bring this up today. Last night for the 5th time that I was
working with Dell Tech support since I got this new computer, I asked him to
explain what was going on when I was logging in as I was having problems.
He said that there is a splash screen that pops up. It seemed that if I
pressed a key, it would go away and then I could log in. The Tech then when
into some Windows setting and changed a setting or 2 so that the screen does
not pop up. When he rebooted, he said that something was still coming up,
but I seemed to get in easier. I have however, noticed a significant
improvement when logging back in after the computer goes to sleep.

Sorry that I cannot provide exact instructions, but maybe this will point
you in the right direction.

Annette

See if the below will help with your problem:
How to shut off the locked screen feature in Windows Ten
1. Press the windows key also called start button.
2. Type in the following without quotes.
"screen saver"
3. Arrow down to "change screen saver" and hit enter.
4. Tab to the checkbox labeled "on resume display log-in screen" and press
the spacebar to uncheck this box.
5. Tab to apply and it enter.
6. Tab to okay and hit enter
Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!
