Hi; What you have described by using insert+f4 will make the computer act like Jaws is not on it. Using insert + space bar then S mutes jaws, but my sighted wife has trouble with the forms mode. I have a question about muting JAWS. Whenever a sighted member of my house wants to use my computer, I use Insert+F4, Enter to unload JAWS. This allows the sighted mouse user to use the computer without frustration due to Forms mode. When JAWS is muted, what type of experience does the sighted user have? Hi Annette, From what I've been told from a sighted person, Jaws is still running with no sound. So, Jaws is still there with the sound turned down to nothing. HTH Take care.
