Re: [JAWS-Users] windows 7 layout
No No No; Checking list in the control panel is not the answer. What you neede to do is; 1, navigate to the control panel, Start menu edit box and type control, You need to enter on control panel. 2, you most likely will land on a search edit box, Tab once you should hear, Category 3, press the spacebar, Now you have choice, Using the arrow keys, Small icons, Large icons, Press enter on the small icons, This will solve your friends problem. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of john melia Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2012 1:03 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] windows 7 layout Go in to the view menue and make sure lists are checked this might do the trick. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of brad Sent: Tuesday, June 26, 2012 11:16 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] windows 7 layout I am using windows 7 with jaws 13 and it is easy for me to use the functions of windows 7. I have a friend that is using windows 7 and jaws 12 but she seems to have different features and screens seem to be layed out differently. She is having difficulties. With the layout. For Instance, When she goes into the control panel, it is layed out much like a a webpage while, for me, it does the same but I can use first letter navigation. My question is Does windows 7 have to be in a different mode or classic mode for her to navigate its operating system more easily. Are there some settings that she needs to change so she can have her computer set up either like mine or a person that can easily use windows 7. She is willing to learn windows 7, but, at the same time, is getting frustrated and wants to go back to XP. How can I help her?
