Thanks for the idea, but yes, even thought I'm logged as admin, I ran
the setup file as admin but got the same error about 40% into the first
screen which is:
Status: Processing TableofContents.
Time for the big re-install the lot. Not happy !!!

Hello Mike
I started with the most recent release download link from the FS
website; this is when the error message first appeared.
My first suspect was Win 10 so I did a huge system spring clean, same
result.
So I then downloaded the current version to another PC using a different
internet access provider, same result.
So I've now decided the only reliable way to solve the problem is to
reinstall Win 10, then JFW, and see what happens.
Not my preferred option 'cos I'm very time poor at the moment, but
that's life.
Thanks for being a good sound board; hope this little episode is of use
to someone else.

Afternoon All
Trying to install the February release of JAWS 2018, 64 bit version,
clean install on a Windows 10 PC.
The install freezes at about 40% on the first screen displaying:
"Status: Processing table of contents"
Cancelling the install has no initial effect. Have to go to task
manager and End Task.
Then, at the next restart, the License screen displays and the install
process starts again on a loop, failing at the same spot each time.
I prseumed the problem was related to a Windows 10 error so did all the
usual checking for corrupt files / troubleshooting / driver updates, but
no luck, still the same JAWS install loop.
Been at it all morning so any ideas, no matter how whacky would be
appreciated.
Glen

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS install error- 'mirror display driver is not properly installed'

2013-08-13 Thread Don Cher Bosch
So, I uninstalled JFW including shared components, and reinstalled- then got
a message that a running program (JFW apparently) was incompatible with one
of the windows components. Called FS, who verified that to troubleshoot this
issue you need to make sure all important windows updates are installed, and
then check to see if there is an updated display driver available. I have
done that and JAWS seems to be working OK now- still crossing fingers :)

Hi,
I mhat some issue in win 7 6e bit. I reinstalled severall times not helped.
From Support I received info, that all updates from win Update must be
installed, file Wdf01000.sys must be higher than 1.11. version, which
wasn't. When I installed ar updates I removed and installed JF again and it
was solved.

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS install error- 'mirror display driver is not properly installed'

2013-08-12 Thread Marek Durila

Hi,
I mhat some issue in win 7 6e bit. I reinstalled severall times not helped.
From Support I received info, that all updates from win Update must be
installed, file Wdf01000.sys must be higher than 1.11. version, which
wasn't. When I installed ar updates I removed and installed JF again and it
was solved.

Hi:

Upgraded to windows 7 Friday afternoon and had this same problem. The fix
is uninstall jaws completely including all shared components and then
reinstall Jaws. Hope this helps.

Has anyone encountered this error? My new Win7 desktop had a hard drive
failure and now has a new one- but getting this error with multiple install
efforts. I'm wondering if this error more likely indicates a computer
problem rather than a JAWS problem?

Hi friends the problem will persist even after that. There is only one
solution of this problem so far. The solution is that, with out
uninstalling jaws 14, run jaws 13 setup. when it will complete
extracting the setup and installing display driver and will show the
window for next, back cancel etc, just cancel the further instullation
of jaws 13. Now use jaws 14 with jaws cursor, the problem will be
solved.

 me
uninstall JAWS. Will write back with results tomorrow.
