If I may jump in here, this is the rub to me at least. Programs will work
the same since they are meant to operate on top of Windows no matter what
version is under the hood so to speak. So for example Gold Wave will work
the same on 10 as it does on 7 in my experience at least.

I'm willing to bet that iTunes will function the same.

Make sure you press enter on song.
Then press Control+Shift+B, to make sure your Colum browser is showing.
Press ALT+V, arrow down to Colum browser sub menu, right arrow one time.
Down arrow through this list, whatever you want to show that is not checked,
press enter on the item to include it.
Repeat this step until you have all you want to show on your main page of
iTunes.
For example, I have Artist, Albums, checked to show.
Listen to my 2 audio recordings, Using iTunes with Jaws in w-10.

[JAWS-Users] iTunes Steps

2015-09-27 Thread Trish
please note, this is not my steps, but they are very easy steps to use and I
believe the author may still be on this list...Denny Huff.
so hope these are help to the list.

moving songs or books*mp3* to phone via itunes:

There are some parts of this I haven’t completely figured out yet, such
as creating a play list and putting music into just that list, but I can try
and give you some steps on getting music from your PC to your phone.

First of all you will need to have Itunes installed on your PC.

Assuming you already have the music you want to add to your Iphone on your PC
somewhere, you will need to find that music and copy it to the clipboard.

You can do individual files or an entire folder.

Now go to your Itunes folder on your PC. For Windows 7 that folder is located
on the C drive, then users, then your folder for your data. Mine is just
called Denny, but it will depend on what your’s is set up as. It could be
owner, your name or even something entirely different.

Next go to My music, then to, ITunes, then to ITune Media.

Here you will find a folder called, automatically add to ITunes.

Open that folder and then paste the content of the clipboard here.

You will notice that the songs you paste here will disappear and don’t worry,
they are supposed to.

You can go back and copy more into this folder as many times as you want, just
don’t put more in here than your phone can handle.

Next you will want to open ITunes from the desk top.

Give it a few minutes to load everything and your will hear a tone of some sort
when it is finished.

There may be some keyboard commands to accomplish these next steps quicker, but
I’m not sure what they are.

Begin pressing your tab key until you hear, IPhone.

Just before this will be, songs, Albums, Artists, genres and play lists.

When you get to IPhone press your spacebar and it should say your phone name.
Mine says, Denny’s IPhone.

Start tabbing again and you should hear, summary, checked. Keep tabbing until
you hear, music and press your spacebar to check it.

Start tabbing again and you will eventually hear, sync entire music library and
most likely it will be checked.

Keep tabbing until you hear, sync button.

Before you get to the sync button you will hear some check boxes that will say
include music videos and voice memos. I just leave these unchecked.

You will also hear, audio and the amount of audio you have such as 2.2 gig or
whatever. You’ll also hear photos, apps and other. You will also hear how
much free space you have on your phone.

The next time you press your tab key it should say, sync button. Press your
spacebar and it will begin moving your music to your IPhone.

Depending on how much music you are moving, it may take a while.

When you hear the tone that it is finished tab to the done button and press
your spacebar.

There may be a better way of doing this but it’s the only way I know of.

You can also put your ring tones on this way. Just select tones instead of
music.

Just remember that the ring tones need to be in m4r format and not mp3. They
also need to be no more than 30 seconds in length.

The next time you press your tab key it should say, sync button. Press your
spacebar and it will begin moving your music to your IPhone.

Depending on how much music you are moving, it may take a while.

When you hear the tone that it is finished tab to the done button and press
your spacebar.

There may be a better way of doing this but it's the only way I know of.

You can also put your ring tones on this way. Just select tones instead of
music.

Just remember that the ring tones need to be in m4r format and not mp3.
They also need to be no more than 30 seconds in length.

moving songs or books*mp3* to phone via itunes:

There are some parts of this I haven’t completely figured out yet,
such as creating a play list and putting music into just that list, but I
can try and give you some steps on getting music from your PC to your phone.

First of all you will need to have Itunes installed on your PC.

Assuming you already have the music you want to add to your Iphone on your
PC somewhere, you will need to find that music and copy it to the clipboard.

You can do individual files or an entire folder.

Now go to your Itunes folder on your PC. For Windows 7 that folder is
located on the C drive, then users, then your folder for your data. Mine is
just called Denny, but it will depend on what your’s is set up as. It could
be owner, your name or even something entirely different.

Next go to My music, then to, ITunes, then to ITune Media.

Here you will find a folder called, automatically add to ITunes.

Open that folder and then paste the content of the clipboard here.

You will notice that the songs you paste here will disappear and don’t
worry, they are supposed to.

You can go back and copy more into this folder as many times as you want,
just don’t put more in here than your phone can handle.

Next you will want to open ITunes from the desk top.

Give it a few minutes to load everything and your will hear a tone of some
sort when it is finished.

There may be some keyboard commands to accomplish these next steps quicker,
but I’m not sure what they are.

Begin pressing your tab key until you hear, IPhone.

Just before this will be, songs, Albums, Artists, genres and play lists.

When you get to IPhone press your spacebar and it should say your phone
name. Mine says, Denny’s IPhone.

Start tabbing again and you should hear, summary, checked. Keep tabbing
until you hear, music and press your spacebar to check it.

Start tabbing again and you will eventually hear, sync entire music library
and most likely it will be checked.

Keep tabbing until you hear, sync button.

Before you get to the sync button you will hear some check boxes that will
say include music videos and voice memos. I just leave these unchecked.

You will also hear, audio and the amount of audio you have such as 2.2 gig
or whatever. You’ll also hear photos, apps and other. You will also hear
how much free space you have on your phone.

The next time you press your tab key it should say, sync button. Press your
spacebar and it will begin moving your music to your IPhone.

Depending on how much music you are moving, it may take a while.

When you hear the tone that it is finished tab to the done button and press

First of all you will need to have Itunes installed on your PC.

Assuming you already have the music you want to add to your Iphone on

You can do individual files or an entire folder.

Now go to your Itunes folder on your PC. For Windows 7 that folder is

Next go to My music, then to, ITunes, then to ITune Media.

Here you will find a folder called, automatically add to ITunes.

Open that folder and then paste the content of the clipboard here.

You will notice that the songs you paste here will disappear and don't
worry, they are supposed to.

You can go back and copy more into this folder as many times as you want,
just don't put more in here than your phone can handle.

Next you will want to open ITunes from the desk top.

Give it a few minutes to load everything and your will hear a tone of

There may be some keyboard commands to accomplish these next steps
quicker,

Begin pressing your tab key until you hear, IPhone.

Just before this will be, songs, Albums, Artists, genres and play lists.

When you get to IPhone press your spacebar and it should say your phone
name. Mine says, Denny's IPhone.

Start tabbing again and you should hear, summary, checked. Keep tabbing
until you hear, music and press your spacebar to check it.

Start tabbing again and you will eventually hear, sync entire music
library
and most likely it will be checked.

Keep tabbing until you hear, sync button.

Before you get to the sync button you will hear some check boxes that
will

say include music videos and voice memos. I just leave these unchecked.

You will also hear, audio and the amount of audio you have such as 2.2
gig
or whatever. You'll also hear photos, apps and other. You will also
hear

how much free space you have on your phone.

The next time you press your tab key it should say, sync button. P

Hi Kurt,
Yes, they will work and help you.
I told David that I would not give out the link on his list anymore.
People were giving him headaches about trouble with the downloads.
I am just trying to help this group as much as I can while monitoring my own
list.
I think that this list, and all the help, that its given out over all these
years, is great.
Thank you David and company for all the great work, I hope you go on for
another 10 years at least's.
So, Kurt, join my list and you will have access to all the audio and TXT
files, you do not have to be using w-10 to join our list.
I hope you understand, just trying to not cause any problems here on the
Jaws Users list.

David has enough gray hairs already, if he has any hair left at all.LOL
Time for some more coffee...

I will admit I'm very impress with how quickly the management team steps up
when appropriate.
I think I've been kicked off and resubscribed so many times since 2005/2006
I think is when I showed up.
Basically, to those newbies here, don't ever hahaha let me reword this but
shouldn't have to ask "where is the mod for this list?"
They are like Santa, they know at all times when you have been noddy or

Great list, even if I half the time don't get answers for my questions.
Just kidding...

moving songs or books*mp3* to phone via itunes:

There are some parts of this I haven't completely figured out yet,
such as creating a play list and putting music into just that list, but I
can try and give you some steps on getting music from your PC to your phone.

Mine is
just called Denny, but it will depend on what your's is set up as. It could
be owner, your name or even something entirely different.

Next go to My music, then to, ITunes, then to ITune Media.

Here you will find a folder called, automatically add to ITunes.

Open that folder and then paste the content of the clipboard here.

You will notice that the songs you paste here will disappear and don't
worry, they are supposed to.

You can go back and copy more into this folder as many times as you want,
just don't put more in here than your phone can handle.

Next you will want to open ITunes from the desk top.

Give it a few minutes to load everything and your will hear a tone of some
sort when it is finished.

There may be some keyboard commands to accomplish these next steps quicker,
but I'm not sure what they are.

You'll also hear photos, apps and other. You will also hear
how much free space you have on your phone.

The next time you press your tab key it should say, sync button. Press your
spacebar and it will begin moving your music to your IPhone.

Depending on how much music you are moving, it may take a while.

When you hear the tone that it is finished tab to the done button and press
your spacebar.

There may be a better way of doing this but it's the only way I know of.

You can also put your ring tones on this way. Just select tones instead of
music.

Just remember that the ring tones need to be in m4r format and not mp3.
They also need to be no more than 30 seconds in length.

Hi Kurt,
Yes, they will work and help you.
David has enough gray hairs already, if he has any hair left at all.LOL Time

Appreciate the suggestion, but no go, still does it. I will
say of late the problem is more sporadic than before but
still JAWS very unstable with Excel 2010. Has to be
something in this beta because I've been using JAWS with
these same excel books/sheets for several years over many
JAWS versions.

Well the latency problem I reported on here a while back
continues with Excel 2010 and the beta release of 17. I have
thoroughly reported all issues to FS. At present, it is too
frustrating to continue to try to use the two together. I
have returned to latest release of JAWS 16 until next
version of the beta comes out. Hopefully that problem will
be fixed.

I did not see any posts on here from others experiencing the
same. To briefly recap, I have Windows 7, 64 bit. When I tab
out of excel into another running application and then tab
back into excel JAWS either crashes and then restarts or
something else is going on but I have probably at least a 5
second delay before I can get JAWS to say anything.

Best,

Al

Re: [JAWS-Users] iTunes 12

2015-09-27 Thread Kevin

you can set itunes to import audio cds automatically
open itunes
go to the edit menu
go down to preferences
from general the first don't press spacebar but press tab
the first selection is to name your library such as 'users library'
tab to import settings and you can select either when I insert a cd
automatically import or ask me what to do

tab to ok
your music will be in the itunes folder in my music
open itunes folder select media
in the media folder select music
open music your album will be there
it's been awhile since I've done this so it may not be exact

Make sure you press enter on song.
Then press Control+Shift+B, to make sure your Colum browser is showing.
Press ALT+V, arrow down to Colum browser sub menu, right arrow one time.
Down arrow through this list, whatever you want to show that is not checked,
press enter on the item to include it.
Repeat this step until you have all you want to show on your main page of

For example, I have Artist, Albums, checked to show.

Kevin,

Close enough, and a very good description. The automatic importing feature
of iTunes is excellent, and it saves the CD sorted by Artist, then Album
Name, and then all the track names.

A note to Kurt is to make sure that iTunes is on the screen when you insert
the CD, and that you have an internet connection.

Tom,

Why don't you just go to www.fsactivate.com and request some more
activations? If you do this now, you will have the activations by the next
day. As long as you do not request too many within a short period of time,
then you will get more without any questions asked. Then you can wipe your
