Hm, this looks specific to the animation branch, because it's fine in 2.9.10.

That's a pretty long time, but we're working on fixing the startup time of
Krita. Right now, I just cannot fix loading links from the splash screen while
Krita is loading, that's actually something that's impossible with Qt...

No, the issue shpuld be happening with both methods, because it's about final
image composition.

What this bug is about is about user expectancy, with power user vs regular
user expentancies. I need to discuss this with boud proper on how to solve
this.

What progress bar is that ?
Certainly not breeze (QStyle):
http://wstaw.org/m/2015/12/07/plasma-desktopz12433.png
Which do not show the problem (you can check with "oxygen-demo", or
"oxygen-demo5"), that is the third horizontal line of the last tab.

Some background of what application was used for the screenshot would help.

Best,

I got my Kdenlive working properly in Fedora 23. here is what I did:

1. I install Qt4 Config.
2. Open Qt4 Config then I choose the GUI Style to Breeze
3. Then save the settings and exit.
4. Run Kdenlive and your missing icons appears.

I am running Kdenlive version 0.9.10 on a Fedora 23 Gnome 64 bit desktop.
Hope these information helps. I do tinker with my system so I was able to
experiment with it :D
If this does help then let me know.

[plasma4] [Bug 356361] New: if Xorg listens on tcp , and remote windows are displayed, and they are minimized, no way to maximize

2015-12-07 Thread Jason Vas Dias via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356361

Bug ID: 356361
   Summary: if Xorg listens on tcp , and remote windows are
displayed, and they are minimized, no way to maximize
   Product: plasma4
   Version: 4.11.11
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: jason.vas.d...@gmail.com

Please provide a way to show / switch to windows from remote hosts that have
connected
to the local X-Server (Xorg) on for example port 6000 .
I have gone to some trouble to ensure that my X-Server does not get the
'-nolisten tcp' option
and listens on TCP port 6000 . I need this setup for my work. I then do
'xauth +' to enable
connections from any host . My computer ONLY has access to a trusted network
of other
computers .
Then when I launch an X-Windows application on a remote host , the window pops
up ;
but should I happen to minimize it , and it is a large GTK application , it
does not appear
on any Plasma Task Manager Panel .
I had to install the Ubuntu 'wmctrl' package , get a listing of windows of
virt-manager
instances :
$ xwininfo -tree -root | grep virt-manager
 0x32b1c03 "virt-manager": ("virt-manager" "Virt-manager")
180x373+2112+500  +2112+500
 0x32aebeb "virt-manager": ("virt-manager" "Virt-manager")  172x50+2046+766
 +2046+766
 0x335b99e "ELx86 Virtual Machine": ("virt-manager" "Virt-manager")
1276x776+2242+77  +2242+77
And because I happen to know that the window that is in the "minimized but not
in taskbar" state
is 0x335b99e , I SHOULD be able to do:
$ wmctrl -a 0x335b99e
or
$ wmctrl -R 0x335b99e
or
$ wmctrl -i -r 0x335b99e -b toggle,maximized_vert,maximized_horz

I have tried all of these, but none of them work to make the window visible ,
and since it not in the Plasma TaskBar, I cannot switch to it or make it
visible .
I have tried :
$ wmctrl -c 0x335b99e
But this would make the application prompt 'do you want to exit?' and does not
close the window.

When this happens I am unable to control the affected VM, because the locks are
still held by the
connection which has been passed to the libvirtd daemon for the old window.

This may very well be a libvirtd bug, but if xwininfo and wmctrl can see a
window on my desktop
$DISPLAY, and I cannot, this a serious issue with the window / workspace / task
manager software
(Plasma) which does not let the user see or switch to these windows .

Now I have to kill the remote libvirtd daemon to regain control of my VM .

I'd like Plasma to either :
A) Just create an entry for ANY and ALL windows in the TaskBar .
B) Provide an interface to 'wmctrl' that lists ALL windows in the current
$DISPLAY ,
and lets the user switch to them or close / minimize / maximize them.
This does not appear to be possible with current Plasma from Ubuntu LTS 14.04.3
LTS, Trusty Tahr
( libplasma 4:4.13.3-0ubuntu0.2 ) .
Is this a plasma bug or design issue ?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a window on local $DISPLAY over TCP to remote client
2. Minimize the window in plasma 4:4.13.3
3. The window still exists , but is utterly inaccessible; it is not visible or
in any task panel.

[krita] [Bug 356303] Overlay blend mode appears incorrect in a 16 bit image

2015-12-07 Thread wolthera via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356303

--- Comment #14 from wolthera  ---
Our solution will be to add a warning to the convert dialogue when doing so to
multiple layers:
https://phabricator.kde.org/T1078

The issue is that going from 16bit linear to 8bit linear will lead to far more
visible information loss than 16bit linear to 8bit srgbtrc, so the later is
preferable default behaviour.

Thanks for the report. It turns out that multi-layer is an Adobe extension to
tiff, and with the help of the imagemagick code we could probably figure it
out. It's been on our todo for some time, and was reported earlier as

Okay -- I think I get it now. I would in general warn against converting a

   Product: Breeze
   Version: 5.4.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: QStyle
  Assignee: hugo.pere...@free.fr

At zero percent the progress bar still shows a small blue line. This looks
broken

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
There should be no fill at zero, i.e. nothing blue. And I would also think
about of hiding the text.

plastma-desktop to version 5.4.2. How to get the 5.4.3? Should I manually add
some dev-grade PPA repositories in order to see the 5.4.3? If so, could you
please advise what PPA to add?

Thank you.

[plasmashell] [Bug 356366] Huge performance drop in opengl game after window change (No kwin-releated)

2015-12-07 Thread Luca Mastromatteo via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356366

--- Comment #1 from Luca Mastromatteo  ---
UPDATE= The problem seems to occur also if I simply hover the cursor to the
game icon and then alt+tab to it.
Another way to fix instead of killing plasmashell is to hover to another icon
instead of the game one and then alt+tab. (ALT+TAB BEFORE HOVERING TO ANOTHER
ICON STILL CAUSE THE PERFORMANCE PROBLEM)

The KDE Mail version I'm using is 5.0.2

Hi Boudewijn,

Sorry, I'm afraid I deleted them already (didn't think they'd be necessary,
this is the first time I reported a bug). I tried reproducing the jpegs using
the same process that corrupted them in the first place (I think), but to no
avail. If I ever run into the issue again, I'll hold on to the files. For now I
think we're best off closing this issue?

[Akonadi] [Bug 356367] New: Google Calendar's Repeated events not correctly updated

2015-12-07 Thread Matti Kettunen via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356367

Bug ID: 356367
   Summary: Google Calendar's Repeated events not correctly
updated
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Google Resource
  Assignee: dvra...@kde.org
  Reporter: matti.kettu...@gmail.com
CC: kdepim-b...@kde.org

If there are repeated events in Google Calendar and one of them is changed,
some or all the events disappear in KOrganizer.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new event in Google Calendar and make it repeated X times (Update
KOrganizer to check that events you just created are visible)
2. Change only ONE of the repeated events in Google Calendar (After editing
Google Calendar asks: "Would you like to change this event only, all events in
the series or this and all following events in the series?" Click: "Only this
event")
3. Update KOrganizer

Actual Results:
Repeated events, or at least some of them, disappear in KOrganizer. In Google
Calendar everything is ok.

Expected Results:
All the repeated events should be visible and one of them should have been
updated.

If modifications are applied to all the repeated events in Google Calendar they
are updated correctly in KOrganizer.
If the "not functioning" Google Calendar is exported to file and imported to
KOrganizer events are correctly displayed.

[plasmashell] [Bug 356366] New: Huge performance drop in opengl game after window change (No kwin-releated)

2015-12-07 Thread Luca Mastromatteo via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356366

Bug ID: 356366
   Summary: Huge performance drop in opengl game after window
change (No kwin-releated)
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
   URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CnvDjhunDk
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: lukycroci...@gmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org

That's an annoying problem, it only occurs in KDE Plasma, with fglrx drivers,
also changing the desktop compositor from kWIn to openbox. I'm not having this
problem with the open source drivers.
Basically, opening a game (Team fortress 2 in this case) and then alt+tab and
then clicking the taskbar icon to return to it, causes a huge performance drop
and input lag in the game. About from 300~fps to 150~
With just using alt+tab when returning to it the problem does not occur.
If I click the game from the taskbar once, alt+tab again to exit from it, and
return to it also with alt+tab still the same problem. (That means that the
problem occurs after i pressed once the icon in the taskbar to return to it,
also if I alt+tab again still the same problem, unless I kill the "plasmashell"
process. Here we return back to the beginning.)
That problem does not seem to be kwin/desktop compositor releated.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install fglrx drivers
2.Run an opengl game (I was using Team Fortress 2 through Steam)
3.Alt+Tab
4.click on the game icon in the taskbar to return to it

Actual Results:
The frame-per-second of the game dropped from 300~fps to 150~

Expected Results:
The performance should be the same.

Arch Linux, latest version
Latest catalyst-test package from the AUR (also tried with other catalysts)

[okular] [Bug 356359] New: Can't open documents with non-ascii filenames

2015-12-07 Thread Kiril Vladimiroff via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356359

Bug ID: 356359
   Summary: Can't open documents with non-ascii filenames
   Product: okular
   Version: 0.23.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: ki...@vladimiroff.org

When I try to open a document named "име.pdf" I get the following error: "Could
not open /home/kiril/име.pdf" (see the attached screenshot). When I rename
the file using only ascii symbols, everything's fine. Even though my locales
are strictly en_US.UTF8, it seems like Okular doesn't respect that.

Output from the command "locale":
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8

P.S.: I'm assuming this is an issue in Okular, because everything else in
cyrillic works just fine in other KDE applications (Plasma, Dolphin, Gwenview,
etc.).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a regular .pdf document with ascii-only symbols in its name with Okular
2. Rename it by using cyrillic symbols, like "тест.pdf" for example
3. Try to open it again with Okular

Actual Results:
You get an error similar to "Could not open /home/.../.../ÑеÑÑ.pdf"

Expected Results:
Document should simply be opened, regardless of the non-ascii symbols in its
name.

[okular] [Bug 356359] Can't open documents with non-ascii filenames

2015-12-07 Thread Kiril Vladimiroff via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356359

--- Comment #2 from Kiril Vladimiroff  ---
After trying to get this one confirmed by other users in #kde, several folks
there helped finding out that this issue occurs only when okular is invoked by
other application like Dolphin, Firefox (when pdf is downloaded), KMail (when
pdf file is received as an attachment), xdg-open, etc. If I use kde-open the
issue is the same, but the encoding seems to be different (still not utf8,
though), because the error is "Could not open /home/kiril/desktop/???.pdf".
Notice the question marks, instead of ... those other funny symbols.

However, if I simply execute "okular име.pdf" the file simply opens and
everything's fine. So, it looks like this issue is not in Okular in particular,
but it's the only place where I suffer from it.

2015-12-07 Thread Thomas Bettler via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356371

Bug ID: 356371
   Summary: missing option / default behaviour to disable mixed
(insecure http) content within https sites
   Product: konqueror
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: khtml part
  Assignee: konq-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: thomas.bett...@gmail.com

Other browsers provide an option to disable mixed/insecure content within https
connections.
See https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html --> see Mixed Content
Handling Test to see more details.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open any https connection containing insecure http content.

Actual Results:
Insecure http content will be loaded.
Considering this as a major bug regarding SSL/TLS security.

Expected Results:
Insecure content should be disabled / blocked by default.
Optional: A warning should ask whether to display the insecure/mixed content.
Optional: A config option could be provided to allow display of insecure
content permanently.

A Dangerous Mix: Large-scale analysis of mixed-content websites:

I don't think we can do much about that. It's either a problem in Qt or in the
graphics driver. It isn't something that happens inside Krita itself, or which
happens for all users.

In any case, in order to determine where the problem is, we need more
information. Do you have:

* opengl enabled or disabled?
* does it make a difference whether "Don't show contents when moving
sub-windows" is enabled or disabled.

8 Gigs!

And guess what, when I use ark now, I get the correct size and all. But I
swear I tried several times before I filed the bug report, and I never got the
full 3,934,257,152 bytes. Now I do - every single time. I have no clue what
happened in between - I don't think I updated anything. I may have
rebooted...

Whatever went wrong initially, it is not reproducible now - except for the
cosmetic bug of showing 0B as the file size. So whatever went wrong, it more
than likely had to do with my system.

Thanks for checking into it!!

Well, I know why that patch fixed it on QEMU, but broke it on Intel, the
virtual framebuffer device reports itself as 32 bits, but the alpha length, and
the alpha offset are both 0, so with the tests I had it doing, it was selecting
the 24 bit format...
...Is this a possible bug in the Intel driver?...

Ok, it's probably due to the layout-per-tab handling the text-ui uses.

I'll have a look.

Nick, no you should not.

As I already mentioned this is a bug in Qt and has been fixed for Qt 5.6 with
https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/141620/

I suggest you guys contact your distributions and let them know about the
existance of this bug and ask for a backport of the patch to the Qt they ship
if you think this is critical enough.
