[Breeze] [Bug 363602] Symlinked SVG files fails to load under Windows

2016-05-28 Thread Jasem Mutlaq via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363602

draw-star would be available when KStars is running under a non KDE environment
and using a different theme. It's always good to fallback to the icons shipped
by KStars.

At any rate, this bug affects ANY icon that is symlinked like view-history
above. So view-history will not load on Windows due to this problem.

Why is symlinked SVG loading on Windows broken while it works OK on Linux?

[plasmashell] [Bug 363647] New: panel doesn't render (update display) after starting an OpenGL application

2016-05-28 Thread Gajo Petrovic via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363647

Bug ID: 363647
Summary: panel doesn't render (update display) after starting
an OpenGL application
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: gaj...@gmail.com

If I start an OpenGL application my panel will not update rendering. It will
stay frozen as it was when I launched it. It's still possible to click on items
in the panel, but you need to remember where things were (it won't update if
you switch virtual desktop)
The only solution is to restart the plasmashell.
Not sure on the version number, what I'm getting from my package is a bit
different than what is offered here it seems:

% pacman -Qi plasma-framework
Name: plasma-framework
Version : 5.22.0-1
Build Date : Mon 16 May 2016 04:11:19 PM JST
Install Date: Sun 22 May 2016 01:47:21 PM JST

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start an OpenGL application: In my case it is SpringRTS
2. See everything freezes
3. Restart plasmashell (killall plasmashell; plasmashell).
4. Works fine until you restart the OpenGL application

[muon] [Bug 363645] New: Muon crashes about 15 minutes after launch from taskbar icon

2016-05-28 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363645

Bug ID: 363645
Summary: Muon crashes about 15 minutes after launch from
taskbar icon
   Product: muon
   Version: 2.2.0
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: muon
  Assignee: echidna...@kubuntu.org
  Reporter: bugs1.s...@arcor.de
CC: aleix...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org

Application: muon-updater (2.2.0)
KDE Platform Version: 4.13.3
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Operating System: Linux 3.13.0-86-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Just at that time at muon crashed I was doing nothing.
At the first try I opened muon and leaved it in background. After a while I
wondered why the crash window appeared. The second time I did exactly the same
but couldn't say how long it take until the crash. At the third try I simply
clicked on the muon icon in the taskbar and let the system alone, just to
remember how long it would take until muon crashes. It took approx. about 15
minutes.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
Usually when I opened muon from the icon on the right side of the tasklist muon
opens, shows a list of packages for 1 second and then the circle was spinning
for a few seconds until the list of upgradeable packages appeared.
This time before the crash the circle was spinning right from the beginning
without showing any package name. But I verified using aptitude and apt-get
that there are some packages to update.

- Custom settings of the application:
I set the option to show the number of packages to update when hovering over
the taskbar icon. Currently it says: "11 packages for update, 21 of them are
security updates". Aptitude says the same.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

If somebody has time I propose a way to have the information of the
announcements page in a single place from which we can autogenerate the main
pag, the announcements page and an rss.

Otherwise it because more of a burden for people that manually do the releases,
talk to me in private if you want to take on that job.

I cannot reproduce this in Plasma NM 5.6.90 (Frameworks 5 version). I looked at
the xml file used to create that interface and it contains the tp:docstring
namespace, so it should be working, although I was not able to use the
dbus-send command to retrieve the introspection. Reopen if you think this is
still a problem.

the best thing would be to use the linked icons cause kstars_stars mean it is a
specific icon but when it is linked than you don't need a specific icon you can
choose the origin one which would be better if someone use another icon set
than breeze (oxygen) cause there the kstars_stars icon isn't available but
draw-star would be available.

[ksmserver] [Bug 362671] GTK applications are not restored in Plasma 5.6.x after relogin

2016-05-28 Thread Wolfgang Bauer via KDE Bugzilla

(In reply to Wolfgang Bauer from comment #2)
> No idea whether this might also be the reason for your problem with Firefox

> does seem to support XSMP.

I just noticed that KDE4 actually stores Firefox in the "LegacySession" section
as well.
So I tried again with Plasma 5.6.4, and indeed it doesn't restore Firefox in
openSUSE either.
Sorry for my mixup...
(openSUSE Leap 42.1 comes with Plasma 5.5.4 where XSM support wasn't removed
yet, so that's why it works there)

And reverting above-mentioned commit (i.e. restore XSM support) makes Firefox
being restored as well.

I'm quite sure it's the same for Thunderbird too then.

Btw,
http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kwin.git=commitdiff=2eac7634cc524bf5e425cf081a639a6b6407e380
in kwin needs to be reverted too, so that the window geometries and which
virtual desktop the windows were on (and other window attributes) are
stored/restored as well.

Still not working right. Now the 'file://" part is trimmed, but the url is
still appended to the current path instead of being interpreted as an absolute
path.
Also, the url needs to be percent-decoded so that something like 'kate
file://home/me/test%20file.txt' works.

The error is not related at all to Ekos/INDI. You're using Mint, and INDI now
only offers 3rd party drivers for Ubuntu 15.10+, but Mint is based on 14.04 so
it is out of date.

You can compile the indi-sbig driver yourself, or use a more recent
distribution like Kubuntu 16.04

[kstars] [Bug 363639] New: When started, KStars puts up an error box "Python process that updates the supernova information failed with error code 1"

2016-05-28 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363639

Bug ID: 363639
Summary: When started, KStars puts up an error box "Python
process that updates the supernova information failed
with error code 1"
   Product: kstars
   Version: 2.2.0
  Platform: Mint (Debian based)
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com
  Reporter: gra...@appstate.edu

When I start Kstars an error box with the statement "Python process that
updates the supernova information failed with error code 1" comes up. If I
click on that box, KStars appears to start normally, but when I go into the
device manager, nothing shows up, even though I have an ST-i camera connected.
KStars did work with this device before, but now does not. Under Ekos, the
ST-i likewise does not show up. Does this mean that the error prevents KStars
from loading completely?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start KStars
2. Click on error box that always comes up (whether or not ST-i is connected)
3. No devices show up in Device manager.

Expected Results:
Well, I expect that KStars would show the ST-i as a device, and allow me to
"run the service". It doesn't. I know that it looks like I am reporting two
bugs (the error box, and no ST-i connection), but as I mentioned before, with
an earlier version of KStars I did connect with the ST-i and actually took
images with Ekos.

I do have the indi drivers installed, and they are regularly updated (seems
they are updated everyday). The ST-i is recognized when it connects, with the
following output from dmesg:

[ 8144.376764] usb 1-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 6 using ehci-pci
[ 8146.977042] usb 1-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 7 using ehci-pci

Git commit d6ac96c17fe5d4af18e34bf63635a810cafb4ca0 by Łukasz Wojniłowicz.
Committed on 28/05/2016 at 18:27.
Pushed by wojnilowicz into branch 'frameworks'.

Allow importing negative sell transaction

Buy transactions should be negative and sell transactions
are generally positive but can be negative if fees are
higher than proceeds. Let OFX, QIF, and CSV importer
and not statement reader decide about transaction amount signs.

By the way: http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/supported-platforms.html shows that whatever,
we can only support 10.8 since that's the minimum for Qt.

Weird, because I test the app bundle I make on OSX 10.9 and there it runs just
fine. I don't have 10.10 to test with; I build on 10.11. I don't support
anything below 10.9, of course, since I don't have those versions myself.

But you sound as if you know better than me how to build bundles for different
versions for OSX: please help me out here by taking over the chore of making
the OSX release.

When I plug in a tablet I get this from kded4:

kded(2107) Wacom::TabletDatabase::openConfig: "Tablet database configuration
file 'tabletdblocalrc' does not exist or is not accessible!"
kded(2107) Wacom::TabletDatabase::lookupTablet: "tablet 0300 not in local db"
kded(2107): Could not create new default profile. There seems to be an error on
device detection
kded(2107): "Can not save profile '' as it either does not have a name or no
configuration file was opened!"

Apparently X11TabletFinder? fails to get name of the tablet and this situation
is not handled correctly later
