`libkf5akonadisearchxapian5` does not get installed alongside `kontact`.

Without this package a lot of features do not work and seem broken, e.g:
* Contact avatars form the address book in email headers
* Recommend contacts form the address book as recipient (To) while writing an
email.

Reproducible: Always




`libkf5akonadixml5` and `libkf5akonadisocialutils5` are also not installed, but
I don't know where/if they are needed.

I'm no longer facing this problem because kdiff3 menu has been missing since I
upgraded to KF5: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=801680

As kdiff3 hasn't been updated for two years
(http://kdiff3.sourceforge.net/#news), I don't think either problem is going to
be fixed in the near future.

As there obviously hasn't been (an approach for) a solution for this for more
than 4 years now:
Are the both of us the only users who are facing this problem?


So again I'd like to sum up the problem:

kdiff3's context menu displays 
- names as URN (non-ASCII chars are being displayed URL-encoded)
- names with full path name and file name (no truncation is applied)
dolphin's - or even KDE's - (context) menus that
- exceed screen width are causing the menu to grow to full screen height so
that the screen is jammed with an almost empty menu.


Dear masters of the KDE universe,

please could somebody tell us what to do or how to solve this?

Trying to reproduce it some, it seems to actually be intermittent.  Also, on
one of the network restarts the NM systray icon was still present though it

I can't really see any prospect of attempting to fix a problem on such an old
release.  Please, can't you upgrade to a current version?  4.7.2 includes
numerous bug fixes, and 4.8.0 was released quite recently.  If the problem is

Copying a bookmark from Chrome or Firefox adds question mark entries in
klipper's history.

The bookmark format text/x-moz-url is UTF16 encoded, and formatted like

When I open the online accounts and want to create a new online accounts, there
are no online accounts type to choose from.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get to the "Online Accounts" settings (doesn't matter if via System settings
or via the icon on the bottom bar).
2. Click on the plus sign to add a new account.

Actual Results:  
No options here.

Expected Results:  
To see the account types to choose from (ICQ, Google account, XMPP ...).

If i run systemsettings in console and do the steps above, there are no
messages (no info, no errors).

Veeeerrrryyy slooooow connection to bugs.kde.org using IPv6

I experience a very slow connection to bugs.kde.org. Inspection of the 
connection reveals it is using IPv6. Some time ago, maybe with a different 
organization, this type of slow connection was caused by improper 
configuration of IPv6 on the server, so this may be the cause.

I tried the link on the web page to the sysman of the website, but was asked 
for an ldap user id and password.

I have tested with the test case attached in this bug report and i can confirm
the issue. 
I can also confirm that running the same test case with the patch works,
valgrind doesn't crash/complains about illegal instructions.

Tested with an AMD FX 6300.

Both export and saving point to under /program files.  There could be a setting
for this, for both export and saving. Like if I make a folder My
Documents/Krita arts, there goes the exports, under that is a folder/ krita
files, there goes the .kra files. Krita could know them, and then the workflow
for new projects would be much smoother.

activate Groote (Size) and Bijlage (Attachment) in that order.

Up to version 16.04.3  konsole worked as expected and commands like

the output of the command is now:

it seems konsole takes the -- options and doesn't foreward them to mpv.

Same behavior here on 4.6.6. openSUSE 13.2 using Phenom II 1090T 3.6Ghz/16GB
RAM.  On a ledger with ~12000 transactions hitting enter takes 100% cpu.  Using
a stopwatch I consistently get ~8 seconds to complete the entry transaction
with details off, ~16 seconds with details on.  I've used KMyMoney since 2007
and really like it, but this condition is nearing intolerable.

P.S.:
Updating the docs to give you the hint that you can at least completely disable
it by right clicking the arrow would already be a great help.
I've spend 2h before trying to look for the docs specified config files (which
aren't existing nowadays) and getting an autostart=false entry to work.

I would already be okay with a ps aux | grep implemented, which disables the
tracking until the process with that specific name is closed.

Or even easier: "[ ] Track clipboard" option in the rightclick-menu, so I can
disable it beforehand and enable it afterwards again.

Desktop Icon script which has run perfectly for years - today after 131 file
updates - problems

Clicked icon to run Bash script in Dolphin and also desktop icon - nothing -
dies

open terminal from Dolphin - ls directory - highlight "_UpDate_et_al" - copy -
paste into terminal - run "sudo _UpDate_et_al" - Result
"_UpDate_et_al: command not found" - executable checked - permissions have not
changed - all OK

1. run desktop icon holding Bash script
2. will not run
3.

Actual Results:  
Crash info in terminal

Expected Results:  
Bash script should run like it has for years

I apologise if this is in the wrong pigeon hole - about my pay grade - please
forward this report to the correct department.

The crash is for the icons that crash - plasma itself appears to work as before
- if that sounds OK

ah I get what you mean - like bug #156547. It's tricky. On X11 at least the
clipboard does not know where data is copied from, so it cannot exclude say for
firefox.

Hi there, I have Kdenlive 16.04.3 installed on Kali linux (Linux (x86_64)
release 4.6.0-kali1-amd64, nvidia graphic driver) and have same problem as
described above. The playback screen is allways black, it does not depend on
clip codecs etc. When started from console kdenlive, loaded previously working
project with clip on timeline it does not throw any errors:

I also understand your approach to just use reserve(), and it makes sense,
still clazy should avoid overly defensive warnings: Clazy will be much more
useful for team hygiene when it receives the _perception_ to always be right,
to always have a point with its warnings. Honestly I'd love it reaching a
state, where it is safe to include Clazy warnings into the -Werror list.

You are right, I can disable it via that option and once I've (relogged?)
restarted, the application really isn't running in background any more (until
that point it is).
But what I would prefer even more, would an option to disable the clipboard
tracking when a certain application is running, and to track it again, when
it's closed.
By this I could use the wonderful idea behind klipper but would be spend from
the problems when my password manager is open.

Yes, for SSH ktelnetservice5 runs "konsole --noclose -e ssh -l username host -p
port" (if a username or port is not specified, the corresponding option is
omitted),
So this is indeed likely the same issue.

ktelnetservice5 does take the default terminal application from systemsettings
though, so you could also change that to xterm as work-around.

I use the «item» «edit geolocalisation» tool. I the tool, I select a set of
images and slide them to the map to geolocalise them. I can do it once or
twice, and then digikam freezes, and all the computer freezes too. The pointer
does not have any more effect, only the keyboard keys can be used. It allows me
to open the dash and logout, it is the only way I found to get out.
It happens all the time, but after one or two set of pictures have been
geolocalised.

I have run digikam in backtrace, to get the information, but as everything was
frozen, it was difficult to get the data. The only think I was able to do was
to take a picture of the screen, as attached. You can see in the background the
geolocalisation tool, with images selected. Every thing has frozen when I have
slided the selection to the map. In the terminal, you can see the backtrace, I
only get on line: «thread 0x7fff5abb9700 (LWP 15230) exited».

It seems that this bug is also affecting URLs with the "ssh://user@server"
schema.

For example: I use KeePassX2 to store all users, passwords and URLs (http//,
ssh//, etc.) for all my servers. When I click on a URL, it launches "xdg-open
ssh://user@server" and in turn xdg-open launches "ktelnetservice5
ssh://user@server". Before 16.08.0, Konsole was launched with a SSH session
established. Now, ktelnetservice5 just end without results. (In one of my test
it shows the message "Unknown option 'l'" but I can't reproduce it anymore. I
guess the 'l' option means the 'l' parameter from ssh client so maybe
ktelnetservice5 is using the "ssh -l user server" sintax and it raises this
bug.)

Example: I installed autotalent with this command on Mint 18 with Kdenlive
16.08:
sudo apt install autotalent

The effect works in kdenlive, but if i render the video (MP4 / H264 / AAC) and
then watch the mp4 file, the audio is normal, the effect isn't there.

How i already wrote, autotalent is only one example. There are also other audio
plugins i tested from the ubuntu repos.

Most (or all? not tested all ;D ) of the audio effects installed with
sudo apt install --install-recommends ubuntustudio-audio-plugins
don't work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install autotalent (for example)
2. Add it to something in your timeline
3. Render the video and watch it

Actual Results:  
The effect isn't there in the rendered video, audio is like without the effect.

Expected Results:  
Audio should be modified.

Using kdenlive 16.08 from "ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable".

- What I was doing when the application crashed: I had just rebooted my system
because of an earlier crash in handbrake and not being able to start

Dragging a url into the smplayer main window work before the upgrade, now the
url can't be dropped.

I assume the problem is that the mime type of the drag event changed.
Currently (after the upgrade) the drag event mime type of a URL (from akregator
or kmail) is "text/plain".
I think it should be a list: ("text/uri-list", "text/plain").

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to drag a url into a application which only accepts url drops

Actual Results:  
Drop is not possible.

Expected Results:  
Url gets dropped.

A dragged URL from Firefox has following mime type list: ("text/uri-list",
"text/html", "text/unicode", "text/plain;charset=utf-8", "text/plain") (Removed
Mozilla specific mime types)

I usually use QVarLengthArray::reserve() anyway, since QVLA will use the heap
when bigger than preallocSize. reserve(X) is a NO-OP for the cases where X <=
preallocSize, so there's no harm.

But I understand the warning is annoying for you, since it's all using compile
time constants so there's no chance of spilling onto the heap.

Ok, can you please link me a live distro with Plasma git so that I will be able
to at least test it before it gets released? Thanks for your efforts, this was
a really annoying bug and it seems I will be finally able to advice Plasma
usage in production starting from 5.8 :)

CURRENT: I need to hold the R key in order to pick a layer under the cursor.

FEATURE WISH: Additionally I can activate this pick-layer-mode by pressing (and
releasing) a key once. I can then deactivate the pick-layer-mode by pressing
(and releasing)  the same key again.

REASON: This improves krita usability on graphics tablet because many tablets
don't have that many physical keys on the tablet which can be pressed (and
hold). However if you can toggle the pick-layer-mode by press of a key you can
use a virtual key from the onscreen menu of the tablet to toggle the
pick-layer-mode.

IMHO the same would apply for other modes such as the rotate mode (activate it
with a single key press, then rotate with the mouse) or the mode to change the
brush size (activate it with a single key press, then use the mouse to change
the brush size)
