So, that download failed with 2.7M received.
For comparison I got the full ftp address from firefox then used it to navigate
the UK Mirror service and download from there.
I am getting 110-190 kb/s now. My download time has gone from 6 hours to 6
minutes.

If it's crashing for one person, who has very graciously added a report, I
think it's likely crashing for a lot more.
Could I add Crashlytics to the app? So we can better monitor crashes and get
even more detail to fix them?

While addressbook integration is possible, only apps that are designated the
primary sms sending app, are allowed to send sms' in Android. To do this,
people would have to keep switching between setting kdeconnect and whatever
else they're using as the sms app. It's unlikely that this can be done.

Your download mirrors for Australia seem to come from Japan which, while
geographically sort-of close-ish, has, frankly, terrible connectivity to
Australia. For example, I typically get from 1 to 4 kb/s. Atm I am downloading
Krita-4.0.0beta1. I get 1.3 kilobytes per second. This is not the first time
this has happened.

Could you at the very least provide a way to manually select a mirror to use.

2018-01-11 Thread Christian Quast
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388845

Bug ID: 388845
Summary: Not all contacts found when adding recipients to an
E-Mail
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.7.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: wildc...@tzi.org
  Target Milestone: ---

This is probably a bug in Akonadi rather than in KMail but for a user using
KMail it seem to be bug in KMail. Feel free to assign this bug to Akonadi if
appropriate.

KMail / Akonadi is not able to find all contacts in my address books when
adding recipients to an E-Mail.

* add an address book and add multiple contacts that share some letters
* write a new E-Mail
* start typing in the recipient field

I would expect to find all contacts starting with / containing the letters
already entered into the recipient field.

Instead, only a random subset (mostly only one) is returned.

For example: I have two contacts with first names 'Marc' and 'Markus' in the
same address book but only 'Markus' is suggest for completion when entering
'Mar' into the recipient field of KMail's composer. For other combinations of
letters no completions are suggested at all. This mostly happens at random and
restarting Akonadi multiple times may change the suggestions for a given input.
Different installation I use may or may not return different suggestions from
the same address books across all installations, again this mostly happens at
random.

Also, for some inputs a completion is suggested based on 'Recent Addresses' or
'Contacts found in your data'.

I am not sure if this is relevant or not: I have multiple address books
configured, all of which are DAV resources. All address books are affected and
it does not matter if the combination of letters is only found in one address
book or if the contacts come from different address books.

KMail versions before 5.7.0 have been affected as well, dating back to the
versions of KMail shipped with KDE 4 but it seems to become worse (no hard
evidence though). Also, I can reproduce this on three different computers /
systems that use different version of KMail / KDE (two still using KDE 4).
Removing everything KMail / Akonadi related from these computers and setting up
new accounts / DAV address books does not seem to help.

Thanks for considering
  Christian.

I have several identities (for different accounts, also, some accounts have
multiple IDs with, all with different E-Mail addresses) and for some mails I
chose to change the identity with which I reply to an E-Mail. However, the
E-Mail is send using the identity it was received for.

* create multiple identities using different E-Mail addresses
* open a composer window to reply to an E-Mail
* use the identity drop-down to chose an identity other than the one the E-Mail
was received for
* send the E-Mail

Looking at the source of the E-Mail yields the a 'from' that matches the 'to'
from the received mail. Instead, I would expect the 'from' to match the E-Mail
configured in the chosen identity.

This has been working until the latest update to 5.7.0

Thanks for considering
  Christian.

And if a static version of it is wanted, it should be available on

concatenating all the mime type filters) as default. This is not useful
because it means an additional click for the user to select a filter that can
actually be useful.

If the initiallySelectedMimeTypeFilter() is empty, we use the first mime
filter as fallback.

-
Chrome opens kdialog with 2 mime types: application/octet-stream (means any
file) and (for example) image/jpeg. But application/octet-stream is associated
with *.bin extension. When you choose this mime extention becomes *.bin. That
commit does this mime default (it's first).

I suggest to do something as at KFileWidget...
Don't change extention for application/octet-stream
At kio package:

Ok, directly run command in CMD indeed works.

But I don't want to use MikTex, though I don't know if it really work.

Anyway, this is not a proper way to solve the problem. Any working latex editor
should support texlive. I just want to know how long it takes to fix this bug?
The reason that I want to try kile is because it support live view. However, it
is now broken.

There does not seem to be a configuration utility for Elisa. When opening

player local files indexer" as a heading. There should at least be a way to
configure what is shown by Elisa there.

definitely possible with kwin-wayland, so why this behavior?

Git commit 1e6b6e5dbe2f4fa3f866c6e23aa62e8c23f0d725 by Michael Pyne.
Committed on 12/01/2018 at 00:46.
Pushed by mpyne into branch 'master'.

Downgrade missing dependency warning.

The warning here complains about conditions which are already pretty
much fixed from outside of the kdesrc-build user population anyways.
It's still something notable so instead of removing completely I
downgrade it to a debugging message.

Krita seems to save everything if auto-save is ON. even hidden and not-edited
paint layers. By 20 layers I need to wait several seconds every time auto-save
kicks in. No blame to auto-save, I love that feature.
It drains also lot of performance meanwhile I paint in Krita's last public
release. For work I prefer without doubt 3.1.1

2018-01-11 Thread Jo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388491

It's not... A fancy feature just to make Krita look better. Pop-up menus
contain a row of different choices and clicking bothers if you know already
what option you are going to pick.

E. G. There's no way to pre- configure percent as measure unit. I do... Nothing
with pixels it's too complicated. I prefer cm. I eventually choose the right
template at the beginning or crop my image to a different size, after.
Scrolling from pixels to percent feels better. All that clicking is something
old baken. We slide nowadays. Gesture is fat better and I say a clear no to
pick pick - i'm not a woodpecker - guys come on, you still write on your phone
like on a keyboard? ^^ I guess no. But just to make you a small example.

Now it still complains, but at least main window appears. But when I try to
open my lml file, it crashes.

   ||leads to blurry thumbnails

Thanks for your additional comments. I suspect the blurs for SVG and PNG are a
bit different each, caused by the icon shown too small (smaller area to render
the SVG in vs. smaller area to downscale a prerendered PNG to), but
nevertheless I adapted the bug title slightly.

This should be solved in two steps: Remove the shadow in Bug 258514, after that
check whether any additional steps are necessary for your bug.

FWIW, Gwenview does not have shadows, but probably won't be good enough for you
either due to lack of a precise thumbnail size control.

[plasmashell] [Bug 388389] Spam log with plasmashell[**]: Empty filename passed to function

2018-01-11 Thread Henrik Fehlauer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388389

Looked a bit into this: The error is logged by plasmashell, but it only occurs
once RSIBreak is running and you either move your mouse or type on your
keyboard.

Note that some symptoms in Bug 388611 can be solved by upgrading to KIO 5.41,
while this does not help here.

The problem in Gwenview and some of the Dolphin problems (I could not reproduce
all of those in Comment 2 in the first place) are fixed in KIO 5.41
(549fc81e8e8a in particular).

@Michael: Could you upgrade to 5.41 (Tumbleweed should have it really soon™)
and observe the situation a bit? I suspect the fallout from the change in Qt
still has to be fixed in a couple more places. It would be nice to make a list.

E.g. there is Bug 388389, which triggers the error output in plasmashell via
RSIBreak. Hovering over custom icons in the panel is still broken, too.

I can confirm that this configuration item resolves my issue. However, I do
recommend that you attempt to reproduce the issue of window borders of tiled
windows appearing on added displays, as that was what primarily led me to
believe that this was a drawing issue and not a configuration option.

Unless I misunderstood the issue, this expected behavior is what you would get

So when you maximize (partially or fully) a window by dragging it from the
edges, the fact that the borders are not drawn and that you cannot resize (at
least from the same screen), from the side along which the window is maximize,
is a feature. Not a bug.
You can disable the feature by checking "Allow resizing maximized windows from
window edges" in breeze deco config (in which case: borders are drawn, and you
can resize from them)

Now, that you can resize the maximized window from the next screen is probably
a bug, which I will try to reproduce as soon as I have two screens. I am not
sure whether this is a bug in breeze though. (breeze decides which borders are
drawn and which are not depending on the maximized state and the selected
options already. It does not decide about the resize areas. That is kwin.)

Hi Mesi,

Try resetting Krita's configuration
(https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Resetting_Krita_configuration) or investigate
the display scaling settings of windows, or its accessibility settings.

But this is a bug tracker, not a user support forum, and bugs are about
problems in Krita's code, and this is a configuration problem on your system,
and I cannot look in your system and see what's up.

I'm not sure whether we've got much control here.

Part of the equation is the widget style plugin -- which is something Qt
provides. We support three of those plugins: breeze (not available on Windows),
Fusion and Plastique. Fusion is the current Qt default.

Plastique is a bit more old-fasioned, and has a bit clearer scrollbars. It can
be used by starting krita from the command line like this:

c:\path\to\krita\krita.exe --style=plastique

The other part is the color theme. We ship several already, and maybe another
theme might work better for Sonia. Color themes don't have separate entries for
scrollbars, though. A color theme looks like this:

Why it does not work for you, I can not say at the moment. My test database
with wrong foreign keys can be ported without problems. My recommendation,
increase the database version manually and use the migration tool to copy the
database into a new one.

mysql -u USERNAME -p

USE DIGIKAM_CORE_DATABASE

UPDATE Settings SET value=9 WHERE keyword='DBVersion';

[krita] [Bug 388823] Difficult to see scrollbars

I have tried to look at that before and it is a bit tricky. The themes we make
for Krita don't do a good job at targeting the scrollbars on Windows, so it is
hard to force that to look a certain way. Other operating systems seem to show
those scrollbars more clearly, so I think this issue will only appear on
Windows.

I am going to update this to a wishlist item. Bugs are usually reserved for
tickets that break functionality. It would be nice to have better scroll bar
colors on windows though.

Please can there be an option to change the color of the vertical and
horizontal scrollbar? Its almost the same shade as the scroll track and when i
need to nudge the canvas up or down its very hard to hunt for it and click and
drag.

only allows me to change the width which is of no use in this case.

In https://community.kde.org/Schedules/Applications/17.12_Release_Schedule you
can see the 17.12 schedule.

It'd be great if you could do a minimal patch to fix this for the stable branch
and if you feel like refactoring some of the stuff have a separate branch for
master.

And even nicer if you can add a unit test that would fail without the patch :)

[kile] [Bug 388348] livePreview can not find tex file

Can you try to run a command like "pdflatex -synctex=1 -interaction=nonstopmode
-output-directory=C:/Users/qq/AppData/Local/Temp/kile-livepreviewn6xaRv
wewewe.tex" on the command prompt (with existing directories)?

The important bit should be the option "-output-directory ".

You can also try out MikTeX, which should work fine.
